The Chain of Command of the Imperial Knights
Knight Commander
The Knight Commander, once second in command of the Imperial Knights, now due to no true Emperor on the throne he is the leader, the steward if you will who holds the highest point on the Chain of Command. His or Her word is law. A Knight Commander should hold the mind of a tactician, the skill of a warrior, and
draw strength from the Light side of the Force. He should be absolute, the Knights most terrifying weapon against the Sith and the strongest link in the chain to take the Empire back from its oppressors.
Field Marshall
The Field Marshall is Second in Command, taking his or her orders directly from the Knight Commander. His or her role is to oversee the short term and day to day operations of the Imperial Knights. Where the Knight Commander is planning for the long term, the Field Marshall is the oil that keeps the gears turning toward the long term goals of the Order. A Field Marshall must have the qualities needed to take over for the Knight Commander should he fall, and should always be guarding against the darkside infiltrating the Knights. In some ways, the Field Marshall is a peer of the Knight Commander, though the Knight Commander is what you would call the First Among Equals in the grand scheme of things.
Knight Marshall
The Knight Marshall is the master ranked equivalent of the Imperial Knights. Their task is to defend the ideals and people of the Empire whenever possible from the oppression of the Sith. They are strong in the Light, and have no doubt as to our mission. They have the Code seared into their minds from years of study, and always act within its bounds. They are responsible for guiding other lower ranking members in the ways of the Knights, to be a bastion of support and strength in times of need to their brothers and sisters, and to fight against darkness and oppression at every chance given.
Knight of the Empire
An Imperial Knight, the backbone of the order and the bulk of its forces. A Knight should uphold the Code, be grounded and guided by the Light, and be ever vigilant against the corruptive influences of the darkside. They have been forged in the fires of War if they are new to the order, and even if not new, war is what they know. They also however, know that kindness, honor and dignity is the only way to foster peace and are always looking to help citizens of the Empire in need because who knows better than the Imperial Knights what atrocities the Sith are capable of?
Squire
A Squire is an initiate of the Order, they are mentored and watched by those who rank above them and guided in the ways of the Light and of the Imperial Knights. They have memorized the code and are learning to live by it. They are our future, and will be treated with the respect that entails. As they walk the path to Knighthood they will face trials to prove themselves and if they come out of them they will be stronger, honorable, and everything a Knight of the Empire should be.
