Knight-Commander/Pendragon: Historically, the second in command of the Imperial Knights after the Emperor. A leader of a retinue in his own right and the strategist and figurehead for the faction, the Knight-Commander has less power than before over the more decentralized Knights, but commands respect, honor and dignity, as well as having an outsized role in strategy and doctrine building for the IK.

Seneschal/Einharjar
: Mindful of security redundancy protocols, many of the Knight-Commander's roles and secrets are fragmented and vested onto the person of Seneschal/Einharjar. His role tends to be based more on the political and economic side. Second in command.

Lancer: The trusted friend and bodyguard of the Knights. Deals with the combat side of the faction more than the Einharjar. Third in command.

Justicar: Leaders of their respective retinues, Justicars are the tacticians and strategists on the ground, setting up local objectives, enforcing Imperial Knights mores and codes and waging the war on the frontline. They may call Enclaves when seconded, and generally are the members of their retinue who have the most contact with HIGHCOM.

Knight-Errant
: An independent and fully trained operative who operates semi-independently of retinues, taking on missions that require even smaller and more independent units than the usual IK composition. They report either directly to either HIGHCOM 1 or HIGHCOM 2 or collaborate with the nearest Justicar.

Knight
: The bulk of the Imperial Knights forces, a Knight is fully trained in the ways of the Force and in the New Imperial Knights is given further training in espionage, asymmetric warfare, and all the other military doctrines of the New Imperial Knights

Squire: The new recruits of the Imperial Knights, they are taken under the wings of their retinue and trained in the ways of the Force, military protocol, intelligence, etc. Each retinue will have different standards and methods of training and the Justicar of each retinue is the ultimate authority in terms of deciding who shall or shall not be knighted and at what point.
