The Imperial Palace, also called the Imperial Citadel and the Grand Palace of the New Sith Imperium, was the center of affairs for the Galactic Empire, as well as its successor, the Sith Imperium, and was the personal residence of the Dark Lord of the Sith. Located on the Imperial world of Anaxes, the Imperial Palace was a gargantuan sized structure with thousands of rooms and interconnected - as well as secreted - chambers, and was the capitol of the Sith Imperium. Massively complex and towering in stature, the Imperial Palace housed several of the Empire's most important governmental elements.

The Imperial Palace is considered to be the most fortified and heavily secured location in all of Imperial Space, and quite arguably the entire known galaxy itself. As his private force and the most elite and tempered soldiers that the Empire had produced, the fanatically loyal black-and-gold armored Nova Guard act as the Sith Emperor's personal royal guard, ensuring that the grounds of the Imperial Palace are secured to the highest possible degree.
