The countdown begun to return to realspace, the swirl of blue and purple stars seemed to be just as lost to her as her thoughts. She threw her face into her palms, hiding herself from the rest of reality as she tried to figure out what she had just done. Hearing footsteps, the redhead sat up straight, clearing her throat as she realized the alarms were sounding closer together. Altair sat beside her, not making an effort to look at her as she quickly flicked some of the switches to silence the alarm. Tia, however, did, taking a few quick glances, her cheeks felt like they were on fire.

What if she just like said those words, would he even bother to respond? Wasn't she like ancient to him? He possibly couldn't have been into her, they just...get along good? More questions flew through her thoughts as she readied the ship from lightspeed, pulling back on the lever and exhaling slowly from a deep breath she took in. If she were honest with herself, she really didn't want this entire trip to be uncomfortable.

"So...you want to see a holo? Like for a little date night, or it doesn't have to be a date. Just something...fun, normal?" she said softly, then realizing if he said no, it was going to be a really uncomfortable journey for the rest of the way. The stars before them settled back into realspace and they would quickly see there were no signs of the purrgil. Tiamat frowned, guiding the ship through what essentially looked like no where.

Altair watched as they jumped out into realspace. He had never really jumped out into the middle of nowhere, and the endless stars and distant galaxies looked haunting. He leaned forward in his seat, smiling, “Beautiful…” He marveled at it in direct contrast to Tiamat being disappointed at the sight. He didn’t see any space whales, but he considered the view brilliant all the same.

The tiefling glanced towards her when she repeated her question from earlier. He froze again when she used the word date. She was the worst at giving any kind of signals and this trucked him out of the blue. He vacantly stared at her for a moment before clearing his throat again as a smile found itself on his face, “Yeah I’ll see one with you,” He said, his gaze lingering on hers for a while, “I’m guessin’ no scary ones, though,” Altair chuckled softly, recalling how easily she spooked.

After a moment, there were some beeps going off to suggest some external sound was being produced. The notion was fascinating and was likely only possible by the dust trails left behind. Altair stood up from his seat, walking over to press his face against the transparisteel to see if he could spot any movement.

“C'mere I think I see something!"

Her blue eyes rested on the tiefling as she waited for his response, he seemed shocked, though she was feeling just as shocked she was even asking, she never did this sort of thing. Eventually he cleared his throat, giving his response that felt like it took ages to come. The wait was rewarding as he agreed to see a holo with her, a grin crossing her features as her blues lit up with excitement, even with his added suggestion they should avoid any of the scary holos that were out right now. She glanced away briefly as he held her in his gaze, cheeks glowing as she reached for a strand of hair by instinct, only to find a small thin strained that found its way out of her bun.

"No, no scary ones." Her attention turned back to the sensors, turning in her chair to switch some of the cables, her droid helping and speaking in its series of beeps and chirps. "Turn it up, Gee-gee." she directed, hearing the sounds, a combination of high and low tones. Her eyebrows rose in thought as she heard Altair call her over to look out the viewport also. She walked over, ducking under his tail to see what he was observing.

Through the star dust in the distant nebula, there was movement and then, the sensors run again, "Cronau radiation, Gee-gee, be ready..." she said turning back to look again. She could feel her heart thumping quickly against the inside of her chest as she watched with anticipation. There was a blink of blue and purple within the backdrop of space, the stardust swirled and stopped, and within a blink a dozen purrgil arrived.

They were surreal, larger than she could imagine, blue and purple streaks along their bodies as their tentacle tails blinked with their illuminating biology. Their calls, translated through the sensors echoed in the ship and Tiamat was stunned by their beauty and magnificence. She glanced up at Altair as the other pod that he was seeing in the guise of stardust met with the new arrivals. "What do you think?" she whispered.

Altair could only stare with his jaw dropped, watching the movement and the whales serenely coasting into view. The lights in the cockpit were completely dimmed to offer a better view. It was empty space with vibrant galaxies with a stunning nebula far in the background. Against the backdrop, they could see the magnificent creatures slowly floating and twirling in space. It was ethereal, and for a moment it felt as if he had been transported to an entirely different plane of existence.

The tiefling felt very humbled by the sight, gaining an appreciation for all the science and tech that he often brushed off as dull. All of that was what allowed them to be here today and gaze upon a sight almost everyone would go a lifetime without ever seeing. It also made him suddenly aware of how small and insignificant he was and how little he truly knew. His violet gaze was fixed ahead as she came up to stand next to him, watching the purrgil with nothing but fascination.

There was nothing but a moment of silence as they stood in awe of what they saw. It was just them out here for lightyears in any direction, no planets, no civilization, nothing all around. It was nothing but them and the vastness of space and these elusive beasts thought to be nothing but legends and myth.

He kept his gaze ahead as Tiamat asked her question, watching one of the whale calves do a spiral and leaving behind a trail. Their song carried through the frequencies.

“I think…” Altair turned his head to look at her for a moment, the vivid hues of space reflecting against his rich, violet eyes, “I wanna dare you to do that truth you said at the pool party."

He was completely stunned and amazed as he started, searching for his words as he turned his head to face her. The redhead's own gaze flickered quickly to focus on each eye, the beauty of space and stars floating across each, creating an illusion of entirely separate galaxy within themselves. A warmth flowed through her, a passion from the love she had in her work, and it was the beauty she saw now, and reflected in others that drove her to learn more, create more, to be more.

He spoke his dare, and for a moment she didn't say anything, thoughts spinning until they suddenly stopped. She blinked, stood on the tips of her toes and kissed him, a brief taste as she touched her lip, looking as though she were going to back away. But instead, she reached up, pulling the tie out of her hair, and let her red locks fall along the sides of her face and over her shoulders, . She absolutely remembered what she had said, however, with a dare, well, she had a hard time backing down from such requests.

Her fingers ran down his front, feeling the muscles under his shirt until she grasped a handful of cloth and pulled him to her, pressing her back against viewport. She wrapped a palm around his neck to pull his head to her own, lips finding his, tasting more of him, not wishing to stop until they were both satiated.

While he was normally shy and stupid in these situations, he felt suddenly at peace and confident regardless of how she responded. He had been humbled by what he saw, he was still in complete awe of the beauty and the serenity all around them. However, his leap of faith panned out as Tiamat leaned in and touched her lips against his. Altair leaned down, tilting his head to meet the kiss. He wasn’t shy about this, and he knew exactly what he was doing.

He felt her soft hair drop down to her shoulders, the shock of red framing her face. Altair felt himself tugged towards her as she pressed herself back against the viewport. The tiefling’s hands slipped down the sides of her body, sliding down past the sweatshirt and down against her thighs through the leggings. Altair savored the taste of her, his tail swaying back and forth as he pressed against her just as she pulled him towards her. He didn’t think about the turn of events, what it meant or anything like that. He simply knew he was in the moment here and now and that’s all that mattered.

One of his hands came up to brush along her jawline as he finally drew back briefly from the kiss. He didn’t pull back entirely, smiling at her, “This can stay hidden up here if you want..” He said barely above a whisper, unsure how she would feel about all this, especially since this happened before they ever went to see that Holo. Altair purposely didn’t step back, making it clear he was entirely comfortable where he was.

Tia wanted him to touch more of her as she felt his hands press against her thighs; she wanted him to feel all of her, and she, feel all of him, right here. A leg slid up along his, hooking herself closer, feeling a part of him that was very much in tune with what was going on. Her own hands continue to explore, down his sides, under his shirt to feel the etching of abs and other indents that felt like scars. She continued to embrace him, lips locked, the smooth and unusual sensation of his piercings ran along her own tongue, making her grin to the sensation.

He pulled back for a moment, speaking softly about keeping this hidden here. Her brow flinched, looking as though she were going to go into her deep thoughts, but instead relaxed; a hand coming to his own jaw line, reciprocating his touch, "I don't care, I don't need to earn their approval." she whispered back, withdrawing her hand from his cheek as she slipped the sweatshirt over her head and helped herself from the rest of her clothing, allowing him to see her fully.

The soft glow of the galactic light shone against her skin and her hair seemed to shine gold in the light of the nebula. She could feel her heart once more pounding, a bit of nervousness and excitement ran through every nerve of her body as she flashed a sheepish grin. Tia ran her fingers around the lip of his pants, guiding him to now stand where she was, pushing him gently against the wall as she kneeled before him. Fingers grasped tightly against his buttocks after removing his pants to give them both a blissful sensation.

Altair thought she would push him back, would shy away just as she had before, would fumble with her words and make some excuse. However, she did things he couldn’t have predicted in a million years. His eyes widened slightly when she spoke, but even more when she casually removed her clothing. For a moment he could simply stand and admire her, watching the way the different hues reflected over her pallid skin and all her curves. His heart began to rapidly beat against his chest, desire burning hot at the sight of her. The tiefling was completely surprised by the turn of events, especially as she seemingly took charge.

As she turned and pushed him against the pane, he reached down to remove his own shirt and toss it aside. He wanted to feel her touch, exhilarated from where she had brushed her hands thus far. There was a sharp intake of breath as she lowered down to her knees, the shock still on his face mixed with anticipation and excitement. His tail betrayed him, swinging erratically as she grasped him.

“Tia…” He half groaned as she pulled him into bliss. The lights of the galaxy bathed his dark skin, his violet eyes gleaming. The purrgil continued to pass serenely through the air behind them. His hand curled into her silky hair as he sank further into ecstasy.

—

The pane was fogged up from Altair’s breath against it as he drew back from the glass. His hands were hooked beneath Tiamat’s legs which were around his hips. The tiefling was breathing heavily as he briefly buried his face against the crook of her neck. He kissed and lingered there lazily for a moment before he finally set her down on her feet gently. Altair was still deeply surprised by the turn of events, but he had no desire of stopping and overthinking.

He felt relaxed and satisfied, feeling a sense of exhaustion over his entire body. The tiefling reached over and brushed a strand of hair away from Tiamat’s face, both of them lined with sweat. His gaze flicked over to the pane behind her that was now smeared with sweat and the fog of his breath. He couldn’t help but grin at the sight, realizing the whales had long since disappeared.

“Well you sure know how to surprise a guy,” Altair said with a smile. He stepped towards her and reached down to easily scoop her up in his arms bridal style, “But you ain’t burn me yet and I ain’t done with you.”

Without another word, he carried her towards her quarters, fully intending to get his fill until they both collapsed.

She'd never had so much metal in her body that caused her to moan and whimper; from his tongue to Elix, it was hard to focus on anything else except for everything she was feeling. Her head rolled backwards as he finished, her blue eyes focusing on the swirls of stardust, the whales long gone. The woman breathed in, able to finally catch a filling breath; she was drenched in sweat and so was Altair as he buried his face into her neck. The spot he kissed sent a welcoming chill through her body, her legs squeezing him him a bit tighter as she gasped something unintelligible, suddenly unable to find her words.

Did he just literally fuck her brains out?
"Altair..." Tia spoke in his accent, but she was really having a hard time thinking; she just wanted to continue to feel him, holding him just a little bit tighter as she bowed her head, nuzzling him, catching how good he smelled. He gently set her down, but despite how ready she thought she was, her legs felt like complete jello and she continued to use him to hold herself up. Tia grinned as he brushed some of her hair out of her face, commenting about surprising him.

"I-ah!" she was taken aback by the sudden sweep, wrapping her arms around his neck and shoulders until she realized what he was doing, "You will only get burned if you allow yourself-" she paused realizing he said he wasn't done and a giggle escaped, "If you keep fucking my brains out, I won't have enough to do my work, I already can't walk right," The woman combed her fingers through her hair as he them to her quarters, "but, I may be more okay with this than I know..." she answered herself.

Her quarters were quite different from what others would see in her labs and even in the main hull of he ship. It was first, neat and clean, nothing out of place. However, it was more intimate than what others would see normally, a reflection of the hard, rough, and even chaotic exterior she wore, it was inside, she protected pieces that were valuable to her. Blue eyes quickly glanced around to ensure nothing was out of place before looking at Altair to see his impression, hoping he didn't think it was absurd that a Sith Master would have such details of themselves. Altair would notice old, worn pictures of a man and woman with a child of different ages on the wall, trinkets she had collected as she researched her work, and someone had painted the stars on her ceiling. A small shelf next to her bed had another portrait and a box of glass pieces with small tools stick out. Her bed looked as though no one has ever slept in it.

Though, they certainly would have some business on it.

Tiamat was glad they were so deep into space, she certainly felt like she was incredibly too loud in this most recent round. She straddled his hips, taking a moment to come back to the present, arms over her head as she had tangled her fingers in her red locks. Sweat dripped down her body as she looked down at Altair, her fingers slowly caressing down her own body until they met Atair's tail that was wrapped around her center. Tiamat leaned forward, lovingly kissing up his torso, then along his neck and jaw, until she found his lips, savoring the tiefling before laying down beside him. A leg and arm draped across him as she laid in peaceful silence.

"Do you feel done with me now?" she asked softly after a while.

The time whirled by both in a flash but he also recalled every last painstaking detail. It was exhilarating and a thrill that he hadn’t expected. He explored every bit of her, memorized the ways she sounded and moved and what drove her wild. Altair lazily looked up at her as she straddled him like a fiery goddess and he was getting used to her comfortable weight atop him. His hands languidly ran back and forth along her thighs. His chest rose and fell, his tail loosely curled around Tiamat’s hips almost affectionately.

He felt her kisses along his chest and up his collarbone, his hand coming up to gently brush against her hair. Altair returned the kiss, holding her close until she moved to lay by his side. He stared up at the ceiling and exhaled in contentment as she draped her leg and arm across him. Altair chuckled softly at her question, tilting his head to look at her.

“Not even close,” He rolled over to his side to face her and pulled her close with her leg around his hip, letting her feel exactly how truthful the statement was, “Gonna take a lot more to wear me out,” Altair said as his hand traced down her back and towards her rear to cop a feel. He pulled her even close, entirely shameless about how he pressed against her.

“What made you go from a shy girl that could barely ask me to the movies to…”
His gaze flicked down and then back up, not needing to finish his sentence.

It seemed far from done as he rolled over to face her; she smiled as he pulled her closer to him, emphasizing his determination. "What else do you want to do to me?" Tia asked as a shiver followed his finger tips while they moved to her rear, pulling her even closer, hips pressed against his. Her heart fluttered, making it hard to think again as he asked about her change in demeanor earlier. She reached up to brush back his hair, fingers tracing along his horns.

"I..." she frowned, trying to think of the words that would describe the change, "I took a gamble, to see what it would be like if I changed tempo." she explained, "I know, if I don't like it, I can always end the dance." Tia gently touched his cheek, falling quiet to take him in, his violet gaze despite the hunger she could sense, they also held a warmth.

"I am," she started but paused, it would be clear she was still cautious about the things she would share with him. Realizing he had picked up on it quickly prior of her sudden pauses, the woman continued despite feeling the deep pains that still reared their presence, "I've been hurt in ways that destroy a person, things were done to me that deserve no forgiveness, Altair, I respond with harshness, pain, fire." Tia explained, "So, I have learned to keep to myself, more careful in my gambles, but there is something different about you, Altair. Maybe it's that 'normal' or something else, so maybe its okay to let you in."

Altair grinned as she asked her question, preparing to flip her onto her back and show her exactly what he intended. However, he paused when she continued, gazing at her as she brushed a hand against his cheek. His violet gaze met hers, a calmness to the lavender hues. Altair thought about all the times he had been hurt, but something told him she meant in far worse and traumatic ways. The tiefling lazily traced his hand up and down the side of her body.

“Prolly that I’m too stupid to know better,” He smiled at her. He knew he wasn’t the smartest, and he didn’t calculate and measure every step. He made mistakes and sometimes he learned from them and sometimes he didn’t. Altair reached over to brush aside a strand of her hair, “But I ain’t ready to think about shit and complicate ‘em,” He admitted. He had just gone through a breakup and he wasn’t ready to jump into anything and he doubted she was either, “So let’s just have some fun and not worry about it.”

The tiefling followed up by finally rolling her onto her back. He traced kisses down her neck, collarbone and below, pausing for a while at her chest. Altair knew more about her now and how to navigate her. His path took him down lower where his arms hooked beneath her knees and he kept going lower towards her thighs. Altair had no intention of stopping, and he would linger until he had his fill and she was nice and satisfied.

Altair drew back after a while, grinning lazily down at Tiamat before he ran his tongue over his lips, still savoring the taste of her. He casually rolled off the bed, grabbing her by the hand to get her up as well, “Come on, let’s go shower,” He said, “Since you got all this nerdy tech and a nice ship, we should go galaxy hoppin’.”

...Too stupid to know any better...

Probably the same for her also, to be naïve at times seemed like a its own blessing, and one she could at least enjoy for a little while longer as he suggested to having fun and less worries. A wide smile returned to the red haired woman as he rolled her onto her back and him leaning over the top of her as he trailed his lips everywhere she wanted him to be and not be at the same time. As much as she enjoyed it, her whole body seemed to submit to his touch and her whimpers seemed to betray her inner thoughts. He paused at her chest and despite the nudging against his horns for him to keep going further down, he seemed to have spent an incredible length of time that the rest of her seemed to agonize in its wait.

"Altair..." she begun to protest, but then he seemed to continue his journey. She felt like she was seeing stardust where she laid, her mind turning into mush as she murmured extra guidance when he did something pleasantly well, "I'm starting to think you don't ever want to be done with me..." she gasped.

His piercings added a flavor that caused her entire body to react under his touch. Her fingers found their way back up her body and tangled in her hair as her back arched and her hips buckled under the intensity before it seemed to explode. Tia cried out his name as warmth trickled from her center and to the tips of her limbs, her heart pounding quickly against her chest as she completely relaxed around him. She took in all the sensations of pleasure she felt, savoring it and hoping not to be disturbed until she was ready.

When she felt she could move again, Tia looked up and saw Altair licking his lips and suggested for them to shower. "You might have to carry me there..." she warned as he helped her up, "But then we can certainly galaxy hop."

________

Smelling of sandalwood and her hair less tangled than earlier, she was back in the cockpit, watching the coordinates as they had entered hyperspace to their next destination. Tiamat was back in her lazy-day clothing, something frumpy, albeit cozy as she relaxed in her seat. Her hair was still damp, loose natural curls seemed to peek their way through as she didn't bother with it too much knowing it would be pulled back and out of her face at some point. Her droid, who was smart enough to tuck away when they had gotten intimate was back and took over navigation for the time being.

"Any place you absolutely wanted to see?" she asked Altair, ready to enter in another set of coordinates.

After the shower, Altair was definitely exhausted. He hadn’t exactly kept his hands off her even in there, and after the relaxing steam and warm water he just wanted to sleep for several hours. He changed into a loose hoodie and some sweatpants. Altair yawned a few times, his tail lazily swinging back and forth.

The tiefling thought for a moment about her question, never having faced it before with the entire galaxy open to him. His hair was still damp and messy from the shower and he ran his fingers through it, “Uhh..” He blinked a few times, “Well I ain’t ever been out to parts of the unknown regions. Or Chiss space,” Were they even allowed in Chiss space? It sounded fascinating to him, “Don’t they have cool shit or something? Nerdy stuff?”

"Chiss space?" she questioned, giving him a concerned look and one that said she was not too interested in visiting the narcissistic navigators. She shook her head, "I know some things in unknown regions...smuggler hide outs, cities..." she said typing in the coordinates on her navi-computer. Tiamat was uncertain how Renfry would feel if she ended up starting a war for a funny look from the xenophobes.

"It'll be a while, get some rest." she explained, not missing his yawning and they way his tail swayed. It was certainly contagious as she yawned herself, thinking a quick nap would be ideal. Pressing a few more buttons to ready the engines Tiamat launched the ship into hyperspace. "I can talk you to sleep if you need me to, we can start on chapter one of the theory of astro-physics and navigation and how early beings theorized space travel would only be accomplished through higher intelligence." she started, even realizing how boring and sleepy it made her. Her droid also found it incredibly boring and rolled away to find somewhere else to hide on the ship.

Altair shrugged, “Don’t gotta be Chiss space. I just wanna see shit I ain’t seen before. Like those whales,” His thoughts lingered back on the ethereal beasts. He kicked himself for not even taking a video on his datapad. Who the hell was gonna believe he actually saw those things? Then again, Tiamat was very distracting and he forgot all about the whales…

As soon as they jumped into hyperspace, Altair reached over and grabbed her by the hand, “Yeah okay, you can ramble on about that as long as I get to use you as a pillow,” He said with a grin as he all but dragged her back to her quarters. It had been some time since he actually slept next to anyone and the thought, even for just a nap, sounded comforting, “I promise I don’t snore.”

Her threat of scientific ramblings didn't seem to deter him, inviting it even as he took her hand and pulling her to her quarters. She looked at him a bit bewildered by the gesture, uncertain how to respond, but she welcomed it and smiled.

Despite some apprehension as she fought with her thoughts on how one cuddled, she eventually settled in, comfortably. A part of her wanted to fight it, tensing under his touch, but she decided to embrace it. She felt vulnerable, and surprisingly comfortable as she hooked a leg over him, her hand slowly and gently rubbed along his chest, noting how he smelled particularly good. It was hard to recall the last she was ever this close physically to someone willingly and to feel as she did, not even with Emryc she felt she could lay like this next to him. Though she was also a different person now compared to years past.

One thing she didn't like about this feeling of peace was it dug into memories she had forced herself to forget. Moments she never thought she would return to and whatever Altair was doing to her with his presence seemed to bring them all to surface. Grief, love, sorrow, longing, and even pain, but whatever sleepiness she was feeling was gone as she stewed in her thoughts and emotions, trying to process what was happening to her in silence.

Or at least tried to.
She waited until she thought he was asleep before sitting up, resting her back against the wall as she combed her fingers through his hair as he rested against her thigh.

It wasn’t long before Altair passed out asleep. Their activities combined with a nice, hot shower and a warm bed that wasn’t a solid block meant he stood no chance. The tiefling curled up against Tia, his tail wrapping around her as well as he dozed off. He remained like that for almost two hours before he began to stir. Altair slowly blinked his eyes open, rubbing them. His tail was still coiled around Tia and for a moment he thought to quickly draw back. He was reminded of the woods where they had camped and she had been uncomfortable.

However, many things had changed since that day. Altair quickly remembered everything that transpired on the ship, still finding most of it difficult to believe. The tiefling slowly gazed up at her, yawning to reveal his pointed teeth, “You didn’t sleep?” He asked almost with a pout.

Her mind danced through her thoughts, some causing a visceral response as she could feel her gut twist in unease, and others she could feel her eyes well with tears. Luckily, Altair was a sound sleeper and by the time he woke, she was at least a bit more at ease. She watched as his tail retracted itself, not seeming too bothered by its own agenda to hold her close to Altair. At times it was as though it were working from its own impulses even taking the tiefling by surprise. Her blue eyes quickly glanced down to see him gaze at her, seemingly disappointed that she was not also sleeping.

"No," she shook her head, "I started thinking about things and there was no way I was going to sleep." she grinned, making it seem like it was no big deal.

"You're right though, you don't snore." she said still gently combing through his black hair, and then glanced at her chrono, "We still have some time until we exit, so you can still sleep if you'd like." she said softly, "I can stay right here too."

Altair almost went right back to sleep as she continued to comb through his hair. His tail lazily moved back and forth in contentment as he simply laid there in silence for a while. This trip certainly took many turns he hadn’t expected. He smiled at her as she mentioned remaining there even if he fell asleep.

“You’re pretty damn sweet, you know,” He said with a knowing grin, “All that ice and frost ‘round the outside and ooey gooey warm at the center,” Altair knew she would fight against the assessment, but he didn’t care. The tiefling yawned and sat up, propping some pillows behind him to lean against.

For a moment he glanced around the room, taking in the details for the first time. He looked at all the pictures of the man, woman and a child, “Tell me more about your family,” He said as he glanced at the images, “Did they know you were a Force user?” It wasn’t until he was already a Sith that he learned that most of his classmates had families that either originally didn’t know their child was a Force user or were deeply ashamed or fearful of it. In his own family, it was a cause for horror if a child was not born Force sensitive.
