(Interest) Battlefield 1 RP

Hey folks I have an idea for roleplay involving Battlefield 1. The idea is that writers can take on the various roles/backgrounds of soldiers of one faction, fighting in an massive battle like out of Battlefield 1 Operations mode on Multiplayer. The reason why roleplayers could do only one faction per scenario in order to avoid PvP drama. Instead we can have fun RPing a story together. You wouldn't have to be the same character for every post in each of your turns but could switch around too.

For example, I could play as a fresh recruit going over the top with his company against strong enemy positions. In my next post when it's my turn again I could choose to be a pilot or tail gunner in an biplane flying across the same battleground or stick with the original character if I want him to survive the initial intro. Each roleplayer can portray from one or more different/similar characters in an battle scenario, competely optional. Yet it would have to be one character per post until the round or scenario is completed.

I'm looking from between two to ten roleplayers who would like to take in this venture. Anyone interested and have questions? If so we can dicuss the possibilities here on this thread. Discussion about the possibilities can improve the roleplay even better. Also here music video about the Battlefield 1 game by mircaleofsound to fit with the tone of this idea.

My only question at the moment is what the setting will be for this RP? The history nerd in me is positively giddy at the possibilities of roleplaying a major battle from the war - like the Somme, Ypres, Cambrai, Verdun, the Marne, etc...

I was thinking along the lines of doing one scenario to test how things would work out. If successful we could explore different theaters of the war later on, such as East Africa, Middle East, Italy, or even the Russian Front. In the story mode for the Battlefield 1 the POVs while diverse and cool were only focused on the Allied Side. I hope we could RP as combatants of the Central Powers in some of these scenarios, to spice things up. I will set up a vote poll for which battle to choose as the first RP, between a number of choices.

It is settled then. We will RP the Somme Offensive first and from Allied POVs(British and Canadians). The setting itself will be months into the offensive around September when tanks were first introduced. I'll set up the battle thread, hopefully by tomorrow.

Don't worry, in the next scenario we can roleplay as soldiers of the Central Powers. Speaking of it, which CP faction would you folks like RP first when we reach that stage. German, Austro-Hungarian, or Ottoman?

Aye, same. I presumed we could be able to role-play out both sides, rather than NPC in the enemies ourselves. My imagination is a such limited thing, unfortunately. Of course, I suppose latching to one side might help clear out a prospective mess of battle.

Can't wait for the thread tho! I love both World War I and BF1 so much, ugh.

Of course, by all means Noirceur you can. Also I decided that beside British and Canadians, we can also RP members of the French military as well in this scenario. After all the Somme Offensive was a joint British/Commonwealth/French operation.
