Invasion of the Mind-Breakers
The Holonet image crackled to life, showing an attractive couple sitting at a desk, worried expressions on their faces as they began to relay the day's top news story.
We've just received breaking news that several elements of the Imperial army and the Sith forces have attacked Zygerria and the surrounding Imperial border worlds. Images from our on-site reporter showed that Imperial troops were killing one another in one of the largest uprisings in recent history, the woman began, as images of Sith killing Sith and Imperial warships firing on ground targets filled the screen.
Although reports are currently unconfirmed, we will have continuing updates for you as this... wait, I'm just getting something in right now, the man said, holding a finger to the receiver in his left ear.
Our sources report that the ships currently attacking Imperial space have been labeled missing in action for nearly 4 years, and are currently carrying thousands of armed civilians, begging the question: is this an attack by the Galactic Alliance?
This is Ada Yaven coming to you live from Korriban where Imperial forces prepare to defend against the onslaught of the mysterious force that has begun to attack Imperial and neutral space. With Zygerria, Troiken, and Toola having already fallen many suspect that this mysterious march will continue on to the heart of the Empire, the reporter said, stepping aside to let the camera pan across the Imperial defenses being erected.
Anti-aircraft guns, repeating blasters, and Imperial fighters were being readied for the coming battle. The civilians were being loaded onto transports while others were being handed rifles to prepare to defend. The planet would soon be a war zone, and anyone caught in the crossfire was liable to be killed.
Our reports show that every Imperial world that has been taken has not only been left in ruins, but its population has bolstered the attacking force. Even radically loyal Sith Lords seem to have succumbed to the manipulation of this mysterious invading force and lead campaigns against their former nations. One has to wonder if the defense forces here will be enough. Back to you, she said, as the camera cut back to the main Holonet broadcast station.

From beyond the edges of known space, a new threat has emerged. After the fall of several neutral and Imperial border worlds, the Holonet began colloquially referring to these invaders as "Mind-Breakers" because of their method of gaining soldiers and warriors. Although no one has ever seen one of these Mind-Breakers personally and has a free will to tell about it, they are thought to be the mysterious force behind the attacks.
Known to swoop in on worlds without warning and seize soldiers and civilians alike, these captives are only seen again when they appear bearing arms for their former captors. Men and women of all walks of life, all ranks, and all skills find themselves subjected to the singular will of the Mind-Breakers. Although some survivors may remain on conquered worlds, most communications are jammed leaving them isolated on a world in flames.
With this threat moving through the galaxy, killing, destroying, and bolstering its numbers from the civilians and soldiers of the worlds they take, it has become the leading threat to every man, woman, and child in the Empire, Mandalorian space, the United Protectorate, and free space.
Welcome to the newest event taking the galactic stage. Whether you have a Jedi, Sith, Imperial, Mandalorians, Rebel, or Indie, there is a place in this story for you. With the Mind-Breakers seizing worlds regardless of alignment, every one of the factions has a stake in defeating this force.
In order to defeat this new enemy, there will be several upcoming events involving investigating and combating this new and mysterious force. Because its origin and method of controlling its victims is unknown, it will be up to the existing factions to slow or stop the advance. This will also usher in the beginning of a 10 year timeskip for the site.
