"That is right everyone, as of recently, of the Galactic Senate governments, the ISC is the most powerful, it's military strength exceeding even what the Republic is capable of. The ISC has completed construction of their very first dreadnaught class ships, the largest ship class as defined by the Anaxes War College System and coming in at nineteen-thousand meters long. The first of the TL-1 Dreadnaughts produced has been christened the Thorne's Legacy, which is the namesake of the line as well. This is a great achievement for the ISC who has come a long way from when they first started." it's true.

"We were able to get a brief question/answer interview the ISC Secretary of Defense @Carrick"

"Thank you for taking the time to meet with me and answering a few questions."

"Of course, I'm always happy to answer some questions to the press - the people have questions after all."

"First of all, congratulations on construction of your own brand new Dreadnoughts. They are very powerful and very large, on par with the Sith Super Star Destroyers if I'm not mistaken. The ISC Navy has grown a lot too, and has become very large and very powerful. It's clear that the ISC navy eclipses the Jedi, Free Worlds, Republic, and the Syndicates; but where would you rate it's effective strength compared to the Sith's?"

"Thank you, I must say that I am very proud of both the TL-1 and TL-2 line of starships. You're right in saying that the TL-1 is something of a match to the new line of Super Star Destroyers we've seen cropping up on rare occasions across the Galaxy. As a dedicated military to a state on the rise, I'd say its expected we are beginning to overtake the Jedi, FWA and Republic with their smaller standing forces. Against the Sith? Thankfully there doesn't appear to be any chance of an imminent confrontation but I would say that the ISC Navy has stepped up - before we could probably give the Sith a bloody nose. Now? Well I don't think either side would be flying away without deep regrets, lets put it that way."

"I'm still wondering how the ISC has been going leaps and bounds over the others despite starting with mainly underdeveloped and neglected Outer Rim worlds. The ISC debuted their crown currency stronger than the Republic credit, swayed Core founder worlds, and you've made these big accomplishments for your navy. Just how do you all do all this?"

"Haha would you believe me if I said 'Hard work, hard work and more hard work'? But seriously, from the top down we've cultivated an identity that really does show that hard work can get us anywhere. The President himself comes from humble origins and now he's one of the most powerful men in the Galaxy - we're happy to follow in his footsteps and take every chance to prove those who might have written us off in the past as short-sighted fools."

"We haven't heard much from the ISC in regards to what many are calling 'Shipgate'" referring to the debacle where Senator Du of Kuat sold Republic-owned ships to Grace Zann, even a whole battleship and more than a dozen frigates and hi-grade starfighters "Are you able to give us some insight into that? And any implications of what it poses?"

"Hmm. The idea of the Zann Consortium, or any criminal organisation, running around with a battleship is a massive concern but one arriving in time to meet our bolstered defences so I'm less concerned than I might have been for my people months before. I will admit that the conduct of the Senator of Kuat is... distressingly not surprising. I wish I could say that the lack of effective anti-corruption measures by the Republic surprised me - but I can't."

"The Five Syndicates have been gathering strength and have been trying to bring worlds into the fold, do you see the Syndicates coming into conflict with the ISC again"

"As Secretary of Defence it is my job to be, shall we say, 'suitably paranoid'? I assume everyone is a day away from invasion and work backward for there - so far I've been pleasantly surprised that way. Having worked on the peace treaty with the Syndicates, I would hope that the peace lasts longer but we will be prepared should certain elements of the Syndicates start trying for a second round."

"Those are quite the words to live by" she said in reference to assuming everyone is a day away from invasion. In this galaxy, can never truly be too prepared.' "Next question: We talked quite a bit navy, but what about the ground forces? How would you compare them to some of the factions?"

"The ISC Army has seen some updates of its own - we've recently been in contact with Blackwell to commission several new pieces specifically for the Army. The ISC army should be a projectile to be fired by the ISC navy and we're making sure that projectile is just as deadly as any of our contemporaries."

The galaxy can now expect their ground forces to be as formidable as well, but Carrick didn't go into detail, not wanting to show their cards if they can help it clearly."One last question Can we expect the ISC to maintain it's current course of neutrality, keeping away from the conflict between the Free Worlds, Jedi, and Sith?"

"The ISC has a long and proud history of not involving itself in the messy affairs of other states. However, I would like to reiterate to the people of the Galaxy that the ISC offers itself as an alternative to those tired old conflicts. Worlds that once called themselves Free World Alliance, Jedi or Sith... all are welcome to join the ISC and step away from the madness. The ISC protects its own."

"Thank you for your time Secretary Carrick, hope to see you again"

Interview ends.
