Lillianne listened as he began, but stopped him when she realized he was not delving deep enough into the meaning of the Code. For him to become a Knight, he had to understand just what their beliefs were and not just the jist of them.

"Please, Isiah, go line by line and explain to me what you think the code means. It's important that you understand it fully," she said politely.

"Alright... sorry."

Isiah hated these parts of training. Yes, it was stupid to think this way but he was more about physical goals than learning the meaning of the code. He recognised its significance but he didn't want to upset his teacher. Or his friend.

"Through the Ashla, we find emotion... we need our emotion to truly feel compassion for our allies and frineds. Ignoring them would be an injustice whose magnitude cannot be fully described in words. The feelings expressed may not be able to be conveyed in words either. But whatever actions you take must be heart fealt and sincere. Even if your emotions are more... darker, you still need to embrace them if it is appropriate. Don't let them consume you but live in harmony with them."

"Through the Ashla, we find peace... harmony is the key when trying to understand what we are to do. First, we must deal with centering ourselves before taking any action that may be unwise or foolish. Through further thought and contemplation, the fog will clear."

"Through the Ashla, we find knowledge... understanding our surroundings and the people who occupy them is key for easier and unrestricted movement along the path. Learning the beings language would put them ina more comfortable setting and helping them or gaining help from them would be easier and more fruitful if time is taken to understand thier people, habits, and personal tendencies."

"Through the Ashla, we find passion... empathy is required to relate to those who are hurt or saddened. Feeling everyone's pain may be a burden but it is required to help them to the fullest extent. Understand their feelings and feel sincere about the solution, when we feel what they feel we will also want to have this burden lifted fromus. When we lift our own we will be helping the other person with theresr. Do not advise out of habit. Help out of love and kindness."

"Through the Ashla, we find courage... to stand in the face of those who oppose us we need to dig dip and find the resolve necessary to stay put. The only way to face a problem is head on and having the will and determination to do so is half the battle. There is degrees to this. You may be able to stand up for your ideals in words but no action. But when you are ready to die for the cause because you believe solely in the moral code you have set for yourslef, then you cannot be beaten or destroyed. Never loose your resolve. It is the guiding force behind your way down the path."

"Through the Ashla, we find eternal life... unifying ourself with the Ashla is a natural duty. The ashal is eternal and when we become a part of it, we also shall share the immortality. This joining is forged in faith and devotion. Unwavering loyalty and conviction. This bond may take years or seconds but in the end you will yield the same result. We are also connected to those who have previously joined with the Ashla. Instantly filled with their love and devotion."

"Through the Ashla, we find love. Love is the answer to the darkness. Love can ignite the stars... when the bond is formed, we can see the way things are. The inner good of some and what lays ahead of them. To see the good that is to come we instill us with hope and adoration for a person. But if there is something bad coming it will tell us to stay at that person's side, for when they need us and to offer our full assistance. Even the darkest places cannot hide from the radiance of love. It seeps through even the opaque walls of the blackest soul and brilliantly illuminates the inner good within."

Lillianne's smile deepened as she heard him explain the code to her. It seemed he had been listening and studying the texts of old that the Priests poured over them time and time again.

"That's right, Isiah. We have brothers in the Ashla, though they call the Force of Others by another name. Some of their beliefs are similar, yet there are differences between them and ourselves. Have you studied about the Code of our brothers in the Ashla, the Jedi? Do you know what sets us apart from them?" she asked, wanting to push him further, just as the High Priest had done with her.

OOC: Hope you enjoy my butchered Jedi Code.

"Well, for one they use those nifty lightsabers," Isiah chuckled. A smile now apparent on his face as he finally got the code expressed in the right words, "They're code goes something like this... I think.

There is no feeling; there is peace.
There are no who are ignorant; there is knowledge.
There is no passion; there is ser... serenity?
There are no dead; there is the Force.

It seems that the main difference is that we go towards passion and they turn away from it. Though everything else their is similar. They look for knowledge and an everlasting life with the Ashla."

OOC: LOL...awww....you could have butchered it even more if you wanted to...lol

Lillianne's light chuckle was musical as he brought up the Jedi lightsabers. Yet, as he grew more serious, her laughter died down to a smile instead.

"A bit, yes. Here," she said, handing him a small datastick upon which more information about the Jedi was contained. "Take this and study it tonight. It's important to understand the beliefs of our brethern," she told him. "We must be courteous to all, no matter their beliefs. If you take a moment to see things from another's perspective, you might be surprised to see how much you have in common with them. However, we must be careful to not stray from our own beliefs. The ways of the Bendu protect us and others from the effects of the Bogan. Yet, we shall talk about the Bogan on the morrow. Have you any questions, Isiah?"

"Nothing that can't probably be answered when I read this or when you speak to me tommorow," Isiah bowed a little before he turned to leave, "Until tommorow then. Goodbye and goodnight if I don't see you again, Lilliane."

Rising from his bow he turned away and fiddled with the datastick in his hand. He always had to occupy himself somehow and he almos always did this subconciously.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was currently at the late hours of the night. Isiah was poring over the information that Lilliane had given him. He had only stopped for a shower, bathroom break, and was currently nibbling at the plate of food that sat next to him. He was determined to be better than he had been earlier that day. his performance was poor when it came to the beliefs of his people and since he had his focus on melee combat, then that made hima mindless brute. Though the lack of knowledge he had in his heritage was a little dissapointing that didn't make him stupid. though in his eyes it did.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another hot day. He wore the same attire he had the previous day. Though this time he wouldn't have the surprise of his friend being his teacher. This was now a piece of pleasent knowledge though their expanded time together wouldn't most likely be entertaining. He approached the same tree that he had been to yesterday. Thankful for its shade now though.

Lillianne was already waiting for him a few feet away from the tree, still engrossed in her meditations. Face upturned in the sunlight, smile upon her lips, she sensed the fluxations in the Force of Others as Isiah made his way to the treeline. Taking a deep breath of the clean mountain air, she opened her eyes and glanced at a flock of birds flying overhead. Today would be the day when Isiah would go further in his lessons than his past mentors.

Rising from the ground, she turned her head to see him waiting patiently under the tree. Slowly, she made her way toward him, ready to begin another day of of his training, knowing Yahweh was watching over them.

"Good morn, Isiah," she said to him as she approached. "I hope your assignment didn't keep you up too late last night."

"Good," she said, sitting down in front of him and placing her hands on her knees. "You can tell me how the Jedi are similar and different to us and our beliefs."

OOC: I know you hate me right now...lol. PM me if you need help, dear.

OOC: I will only express my rage through this . There, I'm better now. If I do it wrong just PM.

"They believe that their is a energy Force that binds us all to our surroundings and to eachother. They learn how to manipulate this energy aswell and also try to stray from darker deeds. We differ in the way that they believe the Force itself is an enitiy. We believe that the Force of Others binds us to the Ashla. They seem to reject passion and emotianla attachement while we embrace it."

OOC: I'll be nice and let you off the hook on this one. ;) Jk...I expected you to have trouble with this one and asked it for that reason. She does afterall have to teach, dear.

Lillianne listened carefully, not wanting to interrupt him as he spoke, nor giving away her own thoughts on the issue away. She wanted him to be truthful with what he believed to be the similarities and the differences. Any motion from her for an incorrect answer would only cause him to back away and become less sure of his actions, something she didn't ever want him to do.

"In a sense, yes. In another sense, no," she said simply. "However, do not worry about it. We all make mistakes and it's through mistakes that we truly learn and better ourselves. As I said earlier, we are brothers and sisters in our beliefs. In some ways we believe similarly; yet, in another way we differ greatly."

Smiling sweetly at him, she moved behind him and leaned close to whisper in his ear. "Close your eyes and listen to these words. You see, when Yahweh created the universe, a connection was created between all living things. Even as their lives ended, this living essence continued on. It flows through all of the universe and all life, similar to the way the Jedi's Force behaves. However, they do not believe in Yahweh as we do."

Stepping away from him, she began to walk around the tree while continuing speaking, "also, their code, the one you studied restricts them from letting their feelings and emotions to guide them. They believe that emotions can get in the way of thinking rationally and in turn cause them to make decisions that will cause others to suffer in the long run. However, it is often through our love for others that we truly see what may befall others do to the actions we take on. To them, love is a distraction, something that will cause us again to think irrationally, yet it is through love that we believe the impossible can be done, that the world becomes a brighter and happier place. While their ways are somewhat similar to our own, their way of life is sad and lonely compared to ours. They deprive themselves of the very things Yahweh wanted us to share in. Where they are restricted from loving, we are encouraged to love, yet never let love overshadow rationality. We must always do what is the right thing to do. We must follow the will of the Force of Others that Yahweh has provided to help lead us.

"Finally, they believe in the way of the Ashla, what they call the Light Side and the way of the Bogan, the way of the Dark Side. Though they have different names, they are one and the same. Still, we should not push our beliefs upon the Jedi, our bretheren. Once a great battle was fought over such ideals and resulted in great harm in the universe."

OOC: Previous  retracted.

Isiah closed his eyes. He did think it was a bit wierd for him to do so when she was talking but if she wasn't offended by no eye contact with an instructor then so be it. Now focusing on his words he nodded at times, as it fealt almost customary to do so. He also fealt wierd not doing anything while she was talking. When she finished he slowly opened his eyes and waited for the next bit of instruction. So far he was 0/2.

"I ask that you continue your studies and continue to learn from the priests of old," she started. "Yet, it is time for us to change avenues a little. I know you'll be pleased with our next lesson. Do you have your sword with you?" she asked him, knowing he would probably not even leave the temple without it.

Isiah reached up and placed his right hand on the hilt of the large cleaver like sword that laid on his back. He was wearing his shirt open again today and he could feel the now cool leather tighten slightly across his chest. Smiling slightly that he would soon be able to show Lilly that he was fully competant in some fields. He would say this out loud but she was never fond of him calling her Lilly.

As he drew his blade, Lillianne turned her back to the tree and began to rustle around in the dirt along its base. Finally, she uncovered an item covered in a rich red cloth. With careful hands, she unwrapped the sword hidden beneath and drew it from the cloth. Its gleaming scabbord looked as if someone had scoured it to shine with a brillance, unlike the darker scabbords most Priests carried.

Bowing her head in what seemed almost like a prayer, she placed her hand gently on the hilt, her brow furrowing as she did so, pulling the gleaming sword from its scabbord. Then, placing the scabbord on the ground, she stood up and turned to face Isiah. Sword in hand, he could see the fluttering of pure white ribbons streaming from the hilt. It seemed she had used these ribbons to cover the grip of the blade, but why? One who knew little of Lillianne might assume that the sword was merely an ornament which hung at her side.

Holding the hilt loosely, she finally let her eyes meet those of Isiah's. "Now, I want to test you on what you've learned from your previous tutor. So, without holding back, I want you come at me with all you have."

Any opponent who saw Lilliane's grip on her blade would assume a battle with her would be over quickly. How would Isiah approach her?

He did hesitate, at first. But she requested for him to come at her with all he had. Isiah knew that Lilliane wouldn't throw here life away in a simple training accident. She was also his superior, she had to atleast have some skill. With an almost invisible breath out Isiah swung his blade and took a step forward. Forcing himself into her area and bringing the sword toward her midsection at a moderate speed. Definately blockable but it would atleast tell him he could escalate from there if she had no problem.

Lillianne didn't seem to move at first as the sword came at her. Yet, waiting until the ideal moment, she tightened her grip on the hilt and the ribbons hanging from the hilt responded to her urging through the Force of Others, lacing each ribbon up her arm, securing it there like a ballet slipper. Bringing the blade up in a swift motion, she blocked his attack with relative ease.

"Do not fear what may happen if you give it your all. I've asked you to show me all you have for a reason. If I become injured it is my own fault. Please, do not hold back," she urged him once more, ready to react appropriately if he disobeyed the second time.

Isiah smiled as his blow was parried. Looking back to her face, "That right there. Is all I needed."

Swinging his blade back in a high arc, Isiah brought it back down. It wasn't fancy but he put actual force behind this attack.

OOC: Alright, Itsygo...lol *said in Nel's voice*

Lillianne nodded her head once, noticing the satisfaction he was taking in fighting. It was a lust she knew he dwelt upon and one in which she hoped to lessen in time. Still, she needed to feel him out, no matter how much it would hurt her.

She had pulled her blade back down to her side as she locked her gaze with his. Before he could even pull his sword back, she felt his movements through the Force. He was doing just what she expected him to do. Right after a comment about his weak attack, he went all out.

Before his blade could come down upon her, she grabbed her sword with both hands and swung upward, blade crashing against blade. The jarring of the blow moved down her arms as she used the Force to help strengthen her arms against his superior upper body strength.

"Your moves are predictable to even an untrained eye. Do not let the words of your opponent rule the way you strike upon them. Force is not always better than a well planned and executed strike."

Isiah nodded, he crouched low and focused. Concentrating on the Force around him he sprinted forwards in long bounds but kept his over all body compact and low. Once he was within striking distance he aimed his blade so that on it's path upwards it would firts it her hip then travel upwards from there. If of course she didn't block, he had the upmost confidence that at this point he was no match for her so she most likely would.
