Another night, another job.

Casta Mere quietly noted. Armed with his 2L-Blaster in both hands the dark Cathar stood about within a large warehouse. With him were a dozen more or so Cartel mercenaries maintaining guard positions around the numerous droid workers, hauling square-shaped containers into speeder trucks. Tonight it all seem just another blaster running operation to him. A moment later the Feline merc reminded himself that complacency during a job can be fatal.

Spotting a long blond haired pale skinned human male in an green fatigues dozing off alone at a corner to his right flank, Casta snarled. Walking briskly for that direction, the large catman grasped the golden locks of the human youth and harshly yanked him up. The younger guard swore in pain but fell silent upon face to face with Casta Mere who flashed sharpen teeth.

“Boy sleep on your own damn time! Do this again on the job and you’ll lose more than a few hairs.”

To emphasize his point, Casta Mere suddenly yanked, tearing off some of Golide’s locks and caused him utter a pained cry before saying.

“Okay, okay I get it man, sheesh.”

With blaster pistol in hand and whispering curses at the source of his newfound pain, Goldilocks went off to patrol at the entrance. Casta Mere watched him go to the opposite side with eyes full of contempt, thinking.

It’s fools like him that frak things up.

From her perched walking path on the catwalk above Eisley eyed the Cartel mercs and droids milling about in the warehouse below. All was going according to plan so far, but there was no real reason to believe that it wouldn't. Running guns was as common to the Cartel as moisture farmers on Tatooine. It wasn't a massive haul by relative standards but it was big enough to require a small contingent to keep an eye on it. Probably just playing it safe, something Eisley supported. You never really knew what could happen when you let yourself get lazy.

Standing with her arms crossed, Eisley couldn't help but notice that all of a sudden a rather large Cathar made his way across the floor to confront some blonde kid who was sleeping. It took all she had to stifle her laughter as the kid got lifted up by his hair and accosted. She agreed with the method. Complacency killed, and Eis wasn't in the game of getting jumped before the shipment even made it out of the warehouse.

Grasping the railing of the catwalk, Eisley lifted herself up and swung over, letting herself drop down a few feet onto a large crate. The drop from the crate was much more doable than from the cat walk, so she just stepped off the side and landed on the ground with a small thud of leather soled boots hitting duracrete. A natural athlete, stuff like that didn't really phase Eis. She'd much rather take the short route than the long route, almost to a fault.

Approaching Casta, Eisley greeted him with an approving nod. "Kids like that are how ops get rolled," she said, pursing her lips in disappointment. "Hopefully you scared him straight enough to at least pretend to be aware of what's going on." She laughed and rolled her eyes. Goldilocks probably wouldn't learn his lesson until the first time he got popped by some anti-Hutt thug. Hopefully he'd live through the experience and grow. Odds weren't in his favor, though.

"I think you and I should take point in the lead truck. We're almost done loading here I think. Sound good?" Eis didn't know Casta that well but he already appeared to be more capable than the others around. That, and he was huge. So if they did get jumped in their convey, she'd have something big to use as cover.

The thud caught Casta’s attention and he looked toward the source...Eisely T’Rahm. He could’ve swore she was on the catwalk above, the newly made Enforcer must have jumped down. That told Casta Mere that the woman preferred shortcuts, but further thought on the subject was interrupted when she approached. The Cathar stood and listen stoically as she complimented him and made her suggestion about taking the lead truck. With a shrug of his shoulders, Casta replied.

“Fine by me. Beats dealing with long-haired kids.”

Before they could start however, the center mass of the large garage door exploded. Acting on instinct Casta sought cover at the side of the speeder with blaster at the ready. Ears ringing he aimed at the gray smoke and that was when the Cathar saw a multiple of figures charging forth.

What the frak?!

He thought, seeing what it was revealed. Dozens of men and women, of various species in torn rags and blood shot eyes flooded in, armed with vibroblades and clubs, growling like beasts. The shocked Cartel mercenaries immediately fired their blasters unto the unexpected attackers, those in front were cut into pieces but the rest pressed on with reckless abandon. The worker droids ironically enough continue with their task behind the skirmish as if noting was happening. Casta let loose a stream of laserfire at the mass of bodies in front.

More just seem to coming though and one Transdosen sprang at him with a muderous cry. Dodging to the side Casta slammed the butt of his rifle into the lizard’s head but the fiend only slashed at his chest armor with both claws. The blows didn’t penetrate but Cathar fired up close into the face before the attacker corrected that mistake. The reptile dropped dead backward with a burned up face, meanwhile the crazed attackers were engaging in savage melee with many of the Cartel members.

Dropping the rifle, Casta Mere pulled out a pistol in the left hand and his sword with the other and uttered a defiant roar.
