Siria waited in the lounge area of Kween Space Station. It was the second to last stop before she and her relief force, could leave and make it on to Keldooine. The Senator of Tirahnn was not sure if she was ready to see the virus up close and personal. A small droid hovered close by as her personal recorder. Taking a page out of Emryc Thorne’s book, she thought it best to document everything about this. This would be the closest the woman had ventured towards Hutt space save for when she tried to send aid to Tol Amn.

The protective suit she wore felt snug in areas she wasn’t used to or expected but she was none the less inclined to keep it on. There was some issue with her security transponder codes on the ship and the nature of the ship's offensive upgrades. This wasn't the first time her family had to deal with this sort of thing as money often gave her access to privilege others did not. Usually it was just a power move the local authority pulled but sometimes it was a pleasant meeting. Whatever the case, Siria did not feel like she was being patient today. All of her affairs were in order and she felt like this was a waste of time sitting on her butt.

A few years had passed since Siria Zale had last visited Kaldooine for anything but a stop over. The planet was as standard a backwater planet as they came in her opinion. If not for its placement along a decent hyperspace lane it may have been overlooked by the rest of the galaxy. However Keldooine’s recent publicity was far from good news. The planet had a high percentage of infected individuals and more so the planet's inhabitants, the living and the dead, had all formerly relied on trade to have their needs met. Cries for aid were acknowledged finally by the Senator, but that did not make following through any easier.

"If the Station Master is going to be any longer I might just forget to pay for the fuel." She muttered to herself as she walked further into the station. The expensive wrist chrono she fished out of her pocket adjusted for the local time automatically and had navigational direction. Beautifully crafted, the accessory served only to remind the Senator of her own anxiety and the dread of bureaucracy.

The sound of numerous hurried footsteps had Siria look up from her trinket. Some shouts followed of indecipherable words. Looking over her shoulder she looked back towards the hangar she had come from. Three figures at the far end entered and began running towards her. No, not towards her. Away from something. Some were dock workers, others travelers.

Behind them Siria's blue eyes finally saw what was coming. A growing shape leaving a trail of smoke in the blackness of space beyond it. In only a few seconds Siria witnessed the starliner grow closer. Before she knew it Siria had turned to run deeper into the station.

A world shaking explosion made Siria hesitate. It felt like an earthquake had shaken the entire space station which was saying something for an installation that could service star destroyers. The sequential heat wave and blaster threw threw the woman from her place. Just as quickly as the explosion had come she then felt a pulling sensation on her entire body. Klaxons blared and lights dimmed. Siria felt herself moving along the deck against her will like gravity had just changed. Someone screamed and cried for help out of sight.

Thunk

The sturdy blast door closed a foot before Siria reached it, causing the woman to slam into it with the momentum. Beyond the blastdoor was likely the depressurized compartment she had been pulled towards. Siria let out a cry of pain and rolled onto her back. Around her head stars were spinning. A drop of blood fell onto the deck from where her face had smacked the surface of the door.

Emryc was on his comlink, rapidly speaking with hints of irritation creeping into his tone. He had a freighter coming in with Blackwell droids that were programmed to help combat the infected. However, logistics managed to get fumbled and they were stuck at a customs checkpoint still out in orbit. As a result, he was on the station by himself attempting to coordinate things to get his droids on the station.

He opted to wear a nice shirt, blazer with some jeans to go for a more business casual look this time. As much as he liked suits, he found them a bit monotonous at times. Emryc checked his chrono to track just how late all his scheduled meetings here were running.

The half Sephi was near the lounge area, standing in a designated smoking zone. He exhaled a cloud of smoke as he got back to his arguing, but he paused for a moment. Ears twitched slightly as he heard some faint yelling and noises. He said a rushed goodbye and clicked off the comlink, turning to look up at the source of noise.

He felt a sense of dread as he looked in that direction, his instincts tipping him off moments before the starliner crashed through the station. As the debris all came his way, his hand gestured lightly to toss up a barrier to block anything incoming and also ground himself.

And then he saw other people flying right past him.

Emryc had to remember he was a weak and pathetic politician right now. Mercifully no one saw his little trick. He put out the cigarra, threw on his best panicked expression and purposely threw himself into the air using the Force. It gave the appearance of him sailing through the air from a gravity shift just like the others.

He collided against a wall near a blast door and scrambled to his feet. A quick glance to the side revealed a familiar face.

“Senator Zale?” He called out, visibly perplexed. However, there was no time for small talk.

Unnatural growls and groans could be heard along with frantic screams. He looked up to see an infected hunched over a woman several feet away. The creature was pulling out viscera while she was still screaming. Emryc grimaced and turned to look at Zale.

“Come on,” He grabbed her hand and bolted in the only clear path he saw.
