Zeri had always heard that Theed was a beautiful city but no description or picture in a book came close to doing the place justice. Granted, the young padawan wasn't the most well travelled person, but Zeri would put dollars to doughnuts that there were very few other places that could possibly hold a candle Theed, or hell, Naboo in general.

Of course, she hadn't just come to admire the architecture or take in the museums. Much to the contrary, Zeri was in Theed for something much more spirited and vastly more fun - the galactically renown Nabooian Wine Mixer. A huge event where all of the rich elites brought their yachts to sail on the massive lakes just outside the city, mostly to show them off and also a little to actually win a race.

Zeri herself wasn't particularly interested in the yachts, she was here for the wine and food, and the live music plus the after party. At the current moment, Zeri was headed down one of the piers that jutted out into the lake. Normally the pier was just a long boardwalk where people could get some views of the lake and maybe cast a fishing line here and there, but now it was lined entirely with food stalls, some carnival games and most importantly: Booze carts.

The day was absolutely beautiful, the sunshine beating down just warm enough to keep the cool breeze from the lake from sending shivers down your spine. Zeri was wearing one of her favorite swimsuits, flipflops flip-flopping as she walked. Evetnually, she picked one of the less crowded booze carts to nab a glass of wine. Something rose colored and bubbly, she had no idea. It smelled alright and tasted better, and that's all that really mattered to her anyway.

Looking around, Zeri couldn't help but crack a small smile as she watched all of the people milling about, wondering if she would stumble into anyone she knew. Or, even more fun, make some new friends.

Despite her extremely busy schedule, filled with Academy classes and the Junior Legislators program, Jayna wasn’t going to miss the annual festival on Naboo. It was a social event that she simply needed to be seen attending, and was a welcome bit of relaxation from the previous few weeks. Nearly being kidnaped - twice, as a matter of fact - was a stressful affair, after all. A bit of food, drinks and boat racing was precisely how she wanted to forget about all of it and unwind for the day.

Naturally, Jayna had entered one of her own
private Yacht’s into the races - selecting the smallest one to better fit across the serene lakes. It’s sleek, Nubian design blended well with the traditional aesthetic of Naboo - and had earned the Heiress some compliments from other socialites upon arrival. For the moment, she began to make her way towards some of the Booze Carts and tables of food - enjoying the sun along the way. There was still several minutes before the races started and Jayna didn’t feel like schmoozing with the upper class the entire time.

She was dressed in a designer,
white swimsuit - coupled with a few bracelets and anklet that glittered across her skin. Her black hair was tied back into a loose ponytail beneath the sunhat she wore, several strands of loose hair falling down to frame her face.

It didn’t take her long to reach one of the carts - snapping her fingers to catch the attention of the attendant. A few different options of beverage were offered before Jayna was finally satisfied with a Sparkling Blossom Wine. It certainly wasn’t top shelf or up to the Thorne’s standards, but it she would make do for the time being. Her silver eyes swept the party all around her - briefly settling on the woman standing nearby, similar in age to herself.

“Nice fit,” She said, allowing her silver eyes to linger for a moment before glancing back ahead.

She wasn't sure if this was an official authorized escape from the temple met with approval, but Mariel had heard some of the other padawans talking about this yacht event on Naboo. Her interest naturally piqued, she decided to check it out since she really didn't want to be stuck inside the temple halls. Ithor had entered its rainy season and it seemed there had been no sunshine in nearly two weeks. So catching a shuttle, Mariel dressed in her swimsuit and sandals, throwing on some street clothes over it and changing once she got to Naboo.

Her beach bag slung over her shoulder, she walked around to see who was providing drinks and food; visitors moved easily about, the air smelled of fried goods, fruit, and sunscreen. It was certainly hard to choose since everything smelled and looked so good and ultimately she decided to pick some sort of food on a stick from three vendors to combine together on one stick for herself. Access to booze was just as everywhere too and the girl found a cider that had the most unusual fruity smell to it.

Satisfied with her choosing, she looked around to see if she could spot anyone she recognized from the temple, eventually noticing another blonde hair girl. She waited until the girl's gaze reached her direction before giving a smile and a wave, hoping that she would recognize her from the temple also, and not look like an idiot waving at the air.

Annacri had never really been one for ships- her home had been farmland, with miles and miles of green fields. Her mother had only ever taken her out on the water a few cities away maybe twice growing up. The deep waters had always unnerved her just the slightest. In fact, she had been hesitant to come when another padawan had invited her to Naboo. While she was hesitant about water, Annacri had never been one to turn down an invitation to party.

So she had donned a bathing suit with a white cover up and a big hat and followed the boy out to the shuttle. It was her first real outing after being transferred to Ithor, and she was immediately separated from the boy whose name she’d forgotten. Not that she really minded being by herself. Growing up, it was a common occurrence for her to be by herself. If anything, the wide crowds threw her off.

Rows and rows of carts lined the boardwalk. Annacri took her time walking between each and every one of them, eyeing all of the different foods and drinks that were presented. Back home, in her small village, she’d never been exposed to this kind of fare and was taken in by all the different options. Having made her way down to the drinks, she eyed a fizzy drink that smelled somewhat spicy- maybe like ginger? She picked one out, turning to head back out to the main walkway when she bumped into another girl, nearly spilling her drink on the blonde in the black bathing suit.. “Oh, I’m so sorry. Excuse me, I didn’t see you there.

The sudden compliment from a stranger caught Zeri by surprise, almost making her blow into her drink as she brought it to her mouth to polish off. Luckily, she'd been able to stop herself just in time before spewing wine all over herself and the unsettlingly pretty girl with the silvery eyes.

Thanks! Zeri replied with her trademark smile. I like yours too, especially the bottom. Well, that came out sounding a lot more forward than it had in Zeri's head. You got a boat in the race or just passing by?

Before Zeri could say much more, she caught the gaze of someone she knew! Or well, at least someone she'd seen before around the temples. That was pretty much the same as knowing someone, right? Close enough, especially in a place where she expected to find nothing but strangers.

Waving back at Mariel, Zeri motioned for the girl to join them. Then she watched as another girl, one with horns that looked dope as hell to Zeri, nearly crashed headlong into Mariel. Ah, so that is what it was like watching someone uncoordinated. Zeri was used to being the smasher and not the onlooker. She preferred the latter, all things considered.

Nice save, Zeri said to Annacri, noticing the girl had managed to keep most of her drink in her glass. I'm Zeri, by the way, She said to the two new arrivals. And this is.. uhh... It had just occurred to Zeri that she had never gotten the white swimsuit girl's name.

Well, that was embarrassing.
