Bandomeer

Given the chaos caused by the assassination of the board of a prominent guild in the Hydian Trade League, the Hydian Way was now vulnerable. The situation was there to be exploited and Thel’s eyes fell upon Bandomeer. More specifically, the mineral mines on the planet. Calling upon his Xexto syndicate allies, he put together a strike force. He utilised his mercenary contacts, obtained through his connections with the Hutt daimyo Skelgok, to gather additional transport ships and weapons. Those ships would bring the strike force to Bandomeer. He would lead the attack, along with a fellow Sith he had worked with on Skako. The attack would be directed against the largest of the planet’s mines, belonging to the Bandomeer mining guild. The aim was to wipe out the mine’s security force and gain control of the mining facility. It wouldn’t be too difficult to bring the other mines to heel, after that. Once all were under his control, he would install new leadership that was answerable to him. If anything leaked to the press, it could be explained away as the Xexto syndicate being given consent by the mining guild’s leaders to move in and ensure the operations continued security in response to the risk of pirates and other raiders. Those killed could retrospectively be branded as criminals and spies belonging to rival operations.

Arriving at the planet, in his transport ship, the strike force’s ships surrounded his. He signalled to them and the Sith champion. “Remember, I want any resistance dealt with swiftly and decisively. Show them no mercy.” There was one thing that would make it slightly more difficult for him and the other Sith. He instructed them to not use their lightsaber and to instead use a blaster. He didn’t want Sith involvement being leaked to the press. Thel wouldn’t be using his saber either, though he would keep it clipped to his belt and concealed. He instead chose a pistol.

Thel boarded his scout ship and flew from the hangar of his transport. Descending through the atmosphere and towards the facility, he was followed by the strike force. The mining facility had no anti-air defences, so there wasn’t anything to stop them from landing. The security would only have time to hastily get into defensive positions.

The ships landed and Xextos poured out. A hail of blaster fire from the Xextos was directed at security personnel and retreating mine workers. Thel leapt from his ship and opened fire. Utilising his force-enhanced reflexes he quickly shot down two security personnel. Thel had chosen to dress in his usual robes. The Xextos quickly forced the security to retreat. “Advance,” he called out to his allies.

The Sith Champion had been tagging along with the fellow superior of the Sith Order for quite some time now. He didn´t bring his ship with him to this campaign. Because transporation was provided to him by the Sith. This very Sith is the same one who helped him pay tribute for speaking with the Hutts. Now to return that favorite, he had once again teamed up with him to aid in helping him secure this outpost. He hadn´t really discussed the full plan of this operation or how it would aid the Sith Order. But he was sure that whatever was going on, the result would be in the pudding.

I look forward to not taking the lead and just kicking back. However, he wasn´t too keen on the restrictions for the operation. But his superior ensures that revealing their origin is dangerous. This hiding in the shadows is what a Sith member normally does. However, this was a really important factor; rather, using their powers in general is taboo. He felt an unwelcoming feeling that being a member of the Sith Order meant spawning a lot of chaos and death.
Snapping back into reality, Sith Champion Everclear had rode within the spacecraft of the same ship his superior flew into the operation in.
His attire wasn´t his normal style; instead, it was a gray hoodie robe, showing his sharp red eyes as he stepped off the craft. Arriving on the scene, his master skillfully took out two guards with his blaster. More importantly, the Sith Champion wasn´t alone and had the company of three Bx-Series Commando Battle Droids. The last one was left aboard his main vessel, hidden on Bandomeer, not too far from the area should something happen that requires him to flee.

Nod his head in approval; he had within his two of his blades tuck behind his back within his utility belt. While on his right and left, he held his heavy blaster. Should anyone try to attack him, he would carefully dodge them using his ehnance reflex, just as Sith Champion carefully dodged while returning Fi with his heavy blaster.

Otherwise, his droids follow their master's lead should a hostile attack befall either them or their master. He had told them prior that if conflict happened, they should find cover and return fire to the enemy if possible. But one thing was for sure: Shredder had no clue what to expect other than death. He replied to Ally and said,¨ Very well, and what are our objectives?¨

The BX-Series Commando Droid represents the most advanced soldier in the Separatist droid armies. The droid's design follows the bipedal, humanoid form of the B-1 battle droid, with skeletal limbs ending in large bifurcated digits, and an ovoid head containing two sensors resembling eyes. Unlike the B-1, the Commando Droid was constructed out of much lighter and hardier alloys. This, along with its advanced gyroscopic stabilizers and reinforced joints, made it quicker and more agile than the standard battle droid, and even some sentient soldiers. The BX was programmed for infiltration, assassination, and guarding the Separatist's most valuable commanders and benefactors. It displayed mastery of many different blasters, melee weapons, and explosives, and proved to be a match for ARC troopers and Jedi alike. Rather than being used en masse to swarm opponents, the BX Commandos were often dispatched in small groups on sensitive missions behind enemy lines. As such, its processors were highly adaptable and programmed with sophisticated analysis and problem-solving abilities.

BX-series droids, though feared galaxy-wide, are not nearly common as other battle droids of the era are today. Not only were they produced in much smaller numbers than their predecessors, but their advanced self-preservation protocols make the droid rather challenging to hunt. The exact number of functioning units is still a mystery, and sentients are advised to use caution if they encounter one. They are equip with 2 Heavy Blasters, and 2 VibroBlades.

To gain control of this facility and to capture the guild leaders here,” Thel replied to the other Sith. Ducking quickly, he spun around and shot down another one of the security forces. “Come on. Let’s move!

The security forces attempted to retreat towards the entrance of the main building at the facility but were rapidly pursued by the Xextos. Thel moved with the Xextos, as they approached the entrance. He could sense the terror emanating from those retreating. He didn’t derive any pleasure from it. This was about obtaining an asset. It was business, if you could call a hostile takeover business.

He stepped through the entrance of the main building. Bodies of security personnel littered the floor. “Spread out and crush any resistance. You all, come with me,” he said, gesturing towards the other Sith and a group of Xextos.

The Sith Champion Shredder quickly accompanied the Sith Master, otherwise known as Thel and Xextos. However, today was a day for both men to be successful. However, before success comes, blood is shed. In the moments and words of Sith speaking, the Sith Champion listens as he follows behind the group. Using his enhanced speed and the force powers to boost his speed naturally The boost provided by the force should give Shredder the needed boost in an attempt to catch up with everyone as well as quickly dodge the oncoming fire.

However, Shredder did confirm the Sith statement regarding their objective and instructions to follow along. "To gain control of this facility and to capture the guild leaders here," Shredder nodded his head in approval of this. However, Sith wasn´t done and told Shredder to follow him along with the troops. That was what Shredder did, with no problems on his end, so he listened.

Now, upon arriving at the entrance with the rest of the forces, several security officers released their own fire at the group. Which made both Sith decide whether to defend or attack. Some seek cover, while others continue to fire and move forward. Shredder positions himself along with the Sith, offering support by attempting to shoot his own heavy blaster at the foes directly in front of him or near his master as well. Honestly, Shredder wants to do some more damage but settles for this action to be on the safe side. He didn´t want to be separated too far from the group after all. That would hinder group efforts to overwhelm the enemy.

Bandomeer

The defenders were pushed back, and the facility was captured. Key members of the Bandomeer mining guild were detained, and then their families not long after. Thel wanted to ensure the guild would submit to him and threatening their families would help with that. Unfortunately, a few figures in the guild managed to retreat to a bunker on the planet. Whilst he now had control of any potential flow of information from the guild, the remaining members at the bunker were a loose end he wanted to tie. The Sith who helped him had decided to not assist with the rest of the endeavour. Quickly making a few calls, he managed to bring in assistance from another Sith (@Param Vour ). The guild members they were hunting may have tried to call for assistance, but, given the chaos along the Hydian Way, it was extremely unlikely any help would come in time. He had already established control, and had begun to set the narrative and control any information coming from the guild.

Thel, along with his Xexto strike team, landed not far from the bunker. A hail of blaster fire had greeted them. A small rocky area, populated by the guild’s security personnel, was all that separated them from the entrance. “Advance!” The Xextos advanced rapidly, shooting down defenders. “Remember, no lightsabers and no clear displays of force use,” he reminded his Sith ally. He didn’t want anything being traced back to the Sith. As far as the guild was aware, they were being attacked by pirates or criminals. He wanted to keep it that way. With her force enhanced reflexes, the other Sith could no doubt cause mayhem with more simple weapons. Thel drew his blaster and followed the Xextos.

No lightsabers or clear displays of the Force? That she could do. Param stared blankly at the blaster pistol in her hand. It was heavy, clunky, and she wouldn't be able to hit a damned thing with it. She didn't need to though; that job was for the Xextos crowded around her. From under her long, silver hair she glanced at the Sith Master just long enough for the transport's cargo bay to open and a hail of blaster bolts to interrupt anything she might have been wanting to say.

Param stepped behind the first Xextos, following behind them in the charge against the defenders. When her Xextos shield would go down she'd find another and move behind them. Every so often she'd fire a blaster bolt the defenders' way, if only to hit the barricades or miss way above their heads. She needed to get close; she could practically feel the warmth of the blood; sense their fear as they tried to retreat. A shiver of excitement ran through her body as the first line of defenders was reached.

Her vibro-knife was out and carving its way through the first man before her blaster pistol had even hit the ground where she tossed it. The scream that turned to gurgles, the blood, the sense of the man's life escaping into the void; it felt good. Really good. It took everything she had not to start laughing as she sliced through a second man, and then a third. Her natural agility and speed overwhelming the defenders as if she had been skulking in the shadows the entire time.

No... she was out in the open, and like a blur made her way through the defensive line. The Xextos continued to push while she deactivated her vibro-knife and admired her work. A painting of blood and entrails for fifteen or more meters. She was covered in the gore, her angelic silver features. Her tight fitted, leather tank top and trousers only saved by their black dye and the black half-skirt that mostly covered her left side from the belt down. A smile crept across her face. It felt good.

Thel moved carefully, picking off security personnel from a distance. The Xextos dexterity and reflexes made them difficult opponents for their enemies. Gradually they progressed closer towards the bunker’s entrance.

As they closed in on their target, Thel felt a sudden surge in the force. Anger, anticipation, bloodlust. The feelings emanated from the other Sith. Realising he hadn’t paid attention to her progress, he turned to look. Her movements were almost balletic as she cut a blood-filled path through the defenders. She would appear to be a blur to someone who wasn’t a trained force user. He observed as she sliced through the guards one by one, until the last was chopped down. It was an impressive display. She had talent. However, he could sense the pleasure she derived from the violence, something which displeased him. Killing was a means to an end for him. This mission on Bandomeer was all about gaining an asset; nothing more.

He approached the other Sith. There was no sense in raising any issue. “Good work,” he told her. He then turned to a Xexto. “Ready charges. Blow those doors open.

The explosion was a large one. The security personnel behind the bunker doors were either caught in the blast or flung backwards from the force of it. The Xextos poured into the bunker’s entrance, overwhelming the beleaguered defenders. Thel followed them into the bunker, alongside the other Sith. “Take point,” he instructed her. If she did so, she would find that the narrow corridors ahead led to a larger room where the guards had tried to set up improvised cover using barrels, crates and upturned tables.

Good work? Good work, he said!? Oh but it was bloody good work. She hadn't felt that good since she had driven the very same vibro-knife through her slaver's heart. Such a wonderful day that was. Param wondered if the blood still trickled like a stream from the false temple's steps, or what had befallen the rest of her slave companions. If only they knew the power they could achieve through breaking their chains.

Her silver eyes turned from blood streaked vibro-knife to the Sith Master as he spoke, her smile fading. So he wanted her to take point? More for her, then. More power she'd take from those that would falsely flaunt it over others. Passion, Strength, Power, Victory. That's what the holocrons said. That's what allowed her to break her own chains, and end her own slavery.

"As you command," she said flatly. Her gaze turned to her vibro-knife as she slowly lifted it up in front of her face and activated it. It was a shame that she didn't feel any more powerful from killing the men before. Maybe the next few would do the trick.

Without another word she was a blur again, sprinting down the corridor passed the Xextos. The few security the remnants of the guild had set in the corridors as a stop gap weren't even worthy of the title speed bump. Only one was able to fire a shot, and it missed by a great margin before Param sunk the vibro-knife into his collar. She dragged that one with her toward the larger room. She could sense their fear. Smell the fluids running down their legs.

Right before the door way, she flung the dead security guard inside, using the Force to help guide the carcass toward the middle of the room without it looking as if it were floating. To the people inside, it would look as if it was flung by a great beast. Blaster bolts filled the room, chasing the carcass as panic set in. Param's smile returned, and she burst into the room. One by one the remnants fell, screaming their fear, confusion, and pain.

Within mere seconds there was but one left, backed into a corner on the floor, trapped by what he could only think as the demoness that was Param. She held her vibro-knife, still activated firmly in her right hand, silver eyes fixed on the last guild member. She wanted his life; she wanted to sink her blade into his flesh, and see if he was the last straw to make her stronger than before. It wasn't like when she killed her slaver; at least he had given her a sense that she had gained something when the life faded from his eyes. This man wasn't hers, though. He would answer to the Sith Master behind her.

Thel watched as the other Sith raced ahead. The joy she seemed to be feeling from slaughtering the guards, appeared to quickly dissipate when he instructed her to take point. At least she complied. Following in her wake, alongside the Xextos, she made quick work of the security in the corridors.

He could feel the fear of their enemies as the other Sith entered the room ahead. He found no enjoyment in it. They were merely obstacles to be swept aside. Soon enough, screams of terror echoed through the corridors of the bunker.

He stepped into the room in time to see some of the last few security personnel vanquished. This other Sith was unrefined, but there was potential there. He advanced towards her and the last guard left, who cowered on the floor.

Where are the remaining guild leaders,” he asked the man calmly. He remained stony faced as the guard looked up at him, clearly terror-stricken. “They’re through there,” he said, pointing towards a large metal door at the end of a corridor to their right. His hand was shaking, and his voice trembled. “Thank you.” Thel turned away, leaving the guard for Param to finish off.

He approached the door, along with the Xextos. On the other side, the remaining guild leaders and security personnel looked for any cover or hiding place they could find. Two Xextos placed breach charges on the door. “Remember, I want them alive,” he said, glancing over at the other Sith.

Moving back to a safe distance, the charges were detonated. It was time to finish this.

Param took a deep breath, in through her nose- out through her mouth. There was no power for her here. The pathetic worms the Sith Master wanted alive for some reason weren't going to give her what she wanted. Strength. Power. How many had she killed thus far? Twenty-five? Thirty? And the only feeling she could put her finger on was a feeling of mundane sameness. She wanted to scream, and rip the whole place to shreds in her frustration.

A nod would be the only thing she gave the Sith Master this time. Param sauntered through the corridor towards the breached room. Her vibro-knife twirled between her fingers as she raised her hand up. The blade spun dangerously close to her own face. When she stepped into the last remaining room, there was a stillness in the air. The security were frozen in place, shaking, almost unable to breath. The guild leaders had stationed themselves behind some upturned furniture to try to make a wall. At a quick glance they didn't have any weaponry. Param's silver eyes focused on the security personnel.

"This was enjoyable, but the fun has to come to an end," she said. The smile that formed across her lips no longer held the bloodlust and desire to kill; it was warm and inviting. A trick she'd learned serving under Dejack. Slowly, like a nexu stalking its prey, Param approached the cowering security. She crouched down to the first one, blade still twirling next to her face, and used her free hand to lower the security's blaster. "Put the blasters down. It's over."

To their credit, the security did as they were told. Param was sure the one in the far back of the room had soiled himself. The vibro-knife stopped twirling in her fingers with a snap as her hand grasped the hilt fully. Her smile turned to a frown. It was a shame they didn't feel the same when she killed them. She wanted that same feeling, that sensation of freedom and power, that she had felt in killing Dejack in his own throne. These mining guild operatives wouldn't give her that. Her hand with the vibro-knife twitched with need. Oh how she wanted to try it anyway.

Param broke herself free from the security just as the Xextos entered and secured the area. She slipped the vibro-knife into her belt, and waited near the guild leaders for the Sith Master.

Thel calmly walked into the room, after it was secured by the Xextos and Param. Excellent. He approached the guild leaders, who looked fearful about what could happen. He loomed over them. “You have no need to worry. Your lives will be spared, just as your colleagues’ lives were. Control of the guild has been handed over to me. You will be allowed to continue with running the day-to-day operations, but I will have control.” One of the guild leaders, a corpulent man, managed to muster an answer. “Of course, whatever you say. Just… please don’t hurt us,” he said tentatively. “I won’t. As long as you all do as I command.” Turning away, he gestured to the Xextos to begin escorting the guild members from the bunker.

He was delighted, though he showed no visible sign of it. With the guild leaders in his power, the Bandomeer mining guild would be brought under his control. He would have command over the guild’s entire mining operation on the planet. This could potentially be far more profitable than his spice operation on Troiken, the connection with Fergriss on Balosar or the arrangement with the head of a Tibanna mining facility on Kril’dor. The guild leaders’ families would be held hostage to help ensure compliance and a Xexto security force would remain to keep watch on the main mining facility. The mining operation would continue to operate in much the same way, except now he would take a large share of the profits. Things were progressing just as he wanted.

There was still one other matter.

The other Sith had showed potential as a warrior, which caught his interest. He approached her. “You did very well. I would like to extend an invitation for you to visit me on Troiken, for training. I will provide you with the specific details at a later time. If you don’t arrive at the specified time, then I will accept you probably seek a different path.” With that, he turned to leave with the Xextos. He would give the other Sith time to think over the offer. For now, he had other business to attend to.

END THREAD
