APPEARANCE:
Skinny with a somewhat athletic build. He mostly wears his robes loosely. He has extremely messy short hair. Both his skin and hair are dark (a staple of his race) and he has silver eyes. He has a small round face with a smug frown constantly being worn on it. He has a scar on his right arm that goes all the way to his elbow.
ATTRIBUTES:
His inability to control the force well frustrates him to a very high degree. He has some acrobatic skill but prefers a direct approach when fighting an enemy, and works to close in on them. He is rather physically strong, but would probably lose against an opponent if they could outmanuever him well enough. He can also take a few hits so long as he is prepared to take the blow. He isn't too knowledgeable in regards to most of the current Galactic History. He is aware there is a war going on and knows who the Jedi and Sith are but his knowledge beyond that is limited.
He has a lot of stamina, but tends to move slowly at the start when in combat,trying to pick up on his opponents habits. His biggest strength is his ability to out maneuver his opponents with his agility or attempt to overpower them with his arm strength.
PERSONALITY:
He is the type of person to run at problems head on the first time, learning from any failures that results from it. He rarely stops to think about what he says before he says it, leading to weird sayings constantly spewing from his mouth much to the dismay of others. This same quality also flows into how he enters a fight. Though through all of this he believes in doing the right thing even if it hurts, and is willing to give up a lot to keep the peace in disagreements.
He enjoys fighting (a bit too much for a hopeful Jedi) but only for the sake of training or getting to know someone. He will attempt to rise to most challenges, even if he knows the attempt will be unsuccessful. Given that most of his life has revolved around combat he is a bit bad about talking to people normally, preferring to spar with someone rather than sit down and chat with them to get to know them.
BIOGRAPHY:
Jalen was the son of two Thyrsian nomads who long since abandoned Thyrsus due to the constant political struggles on the planet. They had made their way from planet to planet traveling by way of a stolen freighter and surviving off security or mercenary jobs. Jalen had spent most of his time on a ship, learning how to fight with a vibrosword and staff, along with the Thyrsian combat etiquette.
His family were aware early on that he was force sensitive, using what little they knew of the Jedi to try and get him to harness his abilities. This was no easy task as they had no idea what they were talking about and tended to confuse him more than anything. This rudimentary training caused him to be rather impatient when it comes to learning the force.
During one of their jobs where they were sent to capture a possible rebel spy for the Empire, they ended up getting into a heated conflict with the insurgents. Jalen ended up separated from his parents during the conflict, along with getting the scar on his right arm. His force sensitivity and young age were quickly taken note of during his wild flailing in his attempt to evade capture, and he was taken in by the rebels (Though they were tempted to put him down right there). He is unsure where his parents are or if they even came back for him, However he jumped at the chance to be trained more formally in the ways of the force, though he is a bit too unfeeling about the rebellion at large. He was around 14 at the time.
Having spent a few more years honing his skills with the force he was able to make sense of some of the what his parents were talking about, though even then they barely made any sense at all to him.
SKILLS:
He is talented in combat with swords,staffs, and hand to hand. He might have a knack for saber combat if he is ever trained. He has gone through the basic Echani training and minor training with the force, although using it is one of his weaknesses. He is completely inept with blasters and refuses to use them at all. He is terrible with all technology.
When it comes to the force his knowledge is rudimentary at best. He can use it to protect himself in combat and push/throw objects or people so long as they are light enough, but nothing special. He mostly relies on it to enhance his physical abilities to some degree, though this is unpracticed and can sometimes lead to him getting hurt if he pushes it too far.
