Dueling Armor​

Dueling armor originated as safety gear developed by the Jedi for teaching dueling to young initiates. The simple system of attachable plates protected the arms and shoulders- the most commonly extended and vulnerable areas subject to strikes from blunted swords and training sabers- without significantly limiting the wearers mobility and range of motion. As war between the Jedi and the Exiles developed, many Jedi and former Jedi turned to the readily available and familiar armor and modified it with phrik plating to protect against full strength lightsaber strikes. After nearly 100 years, the armors basic design and functions have not changed significantly, and it is still a common feature of clashes between the two sides.
