A Jedi fortress sits empty and in ruins in the Asonel Mountains on Prakith. In the ancient past, the fortress served a myriad of purposes. Like other Jedi temples, initiates into the Order were frequently trained at the fortress. Most of the Jedi trained at the Fortress were Force-sensitive individuals discovered on Prakith. The temple's second primary function was research and development, and it was responsible for developing technology for the supposedly extinct Order to use in its initial war against the Sith Empire.

The fortress is built over the top of a cathedral which was once a sort of temple for the Jedi Exiles during the Hundred-Year Darkness. The cathedral extends deep beneath the surface and is a place of tremendous dark side power—a nexus of dark side Force energy—and is a place were kyber crystals naturally grow. The original structure was constructed by the Sith Lord Leviticus, when he was still an Exile Warlord, though very little of his original structure is still standing.
