JEDI GUARDIANS​

THE SITH have returned. They made their presence known by attacking a prison on Coruscant, in the heart of the galaxy. They hunt down and kill JEDI KNIGHTS. Their intent is clear: to destroy the JEDI ORDER and sow chaos across the galaxy.

NYKORIA TALLIS is one of the many Jedi who recently encountered the Sith on a mission. But it's the news of the second attack on her homeworld of Coruscant that spurs her into action. Resolute to keep people safe from this menace, Nykoria calls for fellow members of the Order to take a more active stance.

The Sith blame the Jedi for meddling in galactic affairs; so the Jedi would do just that. They would forge closer ties with the governments of the REPUBLIC and FREE WORLDS once again. They would put their skills to protect the weak. They would fight crime and Sith influence everywhere they find it.

They would become the new JEDI GUARDIANS...

Arc 1: Getting the Team Together [COMPLETE]​

Arc 3: Crises [COMPLETE]​

Repel multiple simultaneous Sith attacks throughout the galaxy	Galaxy in Crisis! The Battle of Ryloth	On Coruscant, the Jedi assist Sector Rangers in the aftermath of the explosion at their HQ. They manage to lower the casualties and save Sector Ranger Chief, while the Rangers avert the theft of sensitive data. On Nar Shaddaa, the Jedi try to contain an infestation that turns sentients into mindless monsters. Their investigation leads them to the Sith who is behind the BOW outbreak. The mastermind is killed, but some samples of his modified BOW are missing... On Ryloth, the Sith deploy a Star Destroyer to subjugate or ravage the planet. The Jedi join forces with the defenders to prevent that. The Star Destroyer is eventually brought down by coordinated attacks from the inside and the outside.	Too many to list here ;)
Deal with the aftermath of the crises. Give people hope and make them trust in the Jedi. Let Others Do Your Politics Not an Empty Threat Forging Bonds	A Jedi, an ex-Jedi, and a Mandalorian manage to avert the assassination of a Senator who is a staunch proponent of the Sentinel Fleet. The Senator's family has been kidnapped, and it fell to the Jedi to investigate their disappearance while the trail was still hot. Nykoria Tallis almost secures an upgrade for the Jedi corvette during negotiations with dignitaries. But then the ship hosting the event is captured, along with the Jedi. Although the strike team manages to rescue most of the captives, Nykoria Tallis is taken by the pirates as they escape. Few would know of the Sith involvement in the matter. I like the idea of that first 'open' discussion. A meeting of interested Jedi who want to know more and it provides a good way to hash out ideas in an in-character manner.

They're all superb ideas though. I'm totally down for any and all of these with Nara. Maybe not negotiating with the Council though. "Let us do this you passive idiots" isn't the most persuasive tactic.

Of course Masters are allowed and welcome. I didn't mention them because Nykori only met only a couple, and not quite as well as other Knights. They Masters also probably be wise enough to know of the dangers of the path she is about to take. "We have these powers, let's be more active and public in using it for good, yadda yadda."

Thanks, everyone! I'd like things to happen organically and through RP. Here's the current plan:

• Once the event is over/close to completion, I'll start an "Open" thread. I'm not doing it now only because who knows what might happen to Kori on Coruscant? It looks like the even might affect a lot of characters.
  
  
• In that thread, I'll tag everyone who expressed interest so far. It'll also be open for anyone else, naturally.
  
  
• The story is pretty emergent, and can branch in any direction. I don't know how the Jedi Council and Jedi Masters will react/are supposed to react. That's why I haven't written specific future threads and participants yet. It will all start in the "Open" thread.

P.S. It turns out that waiting for the event was a right decision. Kori's priorities are already changing. Some Jedi might say that it's not for the better ;-)

As mentioned elsewhere, there is a difference between being really excited about the concept - and your character being totally on board. I know Fiach will be intrigued and conflicted. Maybe her pragmatic side will realise it's a necessary step (whereas her idealistic side will always seek alternative solutions).

So...absolutely want to be part of the story - and I will allow the RP to determine which camp Fiach eventually pitches her tent in :)

So while Jago is not a Jedi, I may have him somehow interact with the Jedi on this. I kinda have his overall plan to be helping the Matukai order also rebuild and taker a larger role in the galaxy. Figure that maybe the Matukai can become allies with the Jedi, or hell even become like a side branch of the order in way.

I've updated the list of threads, so that it would include only the relevant goals and objectives. So far, there's one thread that could use a participant or two. First come, first served.

A Favor for a Favor: The Guardians need a ship large enough. To that end, they try to secure the aid of a corporate CFO from Fondor. She might not get them a corvette they seek, but she has money and influence to have a derelict hull repaired. But even though the Jedi helped her in the past, she wouldn't just help them in turn...​

But there'll definitely be more threads. In fact, I'd encourage you to get in touch with people, coordinate on Discord (or here) and go for our goals. At the moment, the goal is to acquire a ship and supplies for the mission. I know that @Charndley had some thoughts about getting an old CR90 Corellian Corvette hull.

Also, if you start a thread that relates to the plot, let me know, and I'll add a link to the "Story arc" in the first post.

Hmmm so I had an idea that I think would help out and was something I wanted to do for Jago's character development. Would anybody be interested in joining Jago on a meeting with some Matukai elders? Figured this would be a way to get some more allies and have fun with some martial arts mysticism and whatnot lol.

@Nykoria Tallis would love to, but I'm a bit overwhelmed with all the threads and management at the moment. I'd appreciate it if anyone stepped up.

P.S. I totally forgot that the ship will need a crew too. I mean, apart from the Jedi. Perhaps it's something that people could tackle as well. Especially if they've earned some favors with NPCs and characters in their past threads.

You could always get the ball in motion with the Ship, imagine it will take time for the hull to get repaired and ready to go. Which can allow for the Jedi to just run around on small ships as they amass and assemble a willing crew?

EPILOGUE​

The Jedi had mixed results in their fight against the Sith. They stood with Sector Rangers during the Sith attack on Coruscant Ranger HQ, and even saved Sector Ranger Chief Douglas Hudson. On Nar Shaddaa, they prevented an outbreak of a dangerous disease and stopped the perpetrator. It all culminated in the battle of Ryloth, where a Jedi strike team helped to take down the Sith star destroyer.

This streak of luck was interrupted by Sullust. The Eternal itself faced the Jedi strike team and forced them to retreat. At the same time, a group of Sith raided the Jedi Temple on Ajan Kloss, slaughtering many Padawans and forcing the Jedi to retreat to their last temple on Yavin 4.

Those who returned from Sullust would find out about the tragedy. To prevent a similar mistake in the future, the Council disbanded the Guardians. However, Master Hannibal Grayza was promoted to the Council and took over the more militaristic operations of the Jedi. The Order may've taken a harsh blow, but they weren't beaten just yet.

As for Nykoria Tallis, she was presumed captured by pirates aboard a corporate luxury yacht. When the captives were freed, Nykoria was nowhere to be found. Time would tell if she'd ever make an appearance again...

Well, given the recent developments, I guess we can finally wrap most of this stuff up. Thanks to everyone for taking part! I hope this thread will provide a good reference for some of the events of this timeline in the future. Personally, I'm kind of glad I have fewer things to update now. But I really appreciate all the stuff we've done together!
