New Jedi Order
Jedi Shadow

During the days of the Old Republic, the Jedi Order held expectation of a rumor organization called the Jedi Shadow. Their purpose was to eliminate dangers before they became a threat to the people of the Republic. Members of the Order were frequently required to make moral compromises in the betterment of the future. The Shadow had been known to eradicate relics and followers of the dark side, either by taking up ranks or hiding in the shadows among dark side cohorts. Their patience and timing to strike was precise, making them a danger to any adversary.

The New Jedi Order would find no need to reinstate the Jedi Shadow until the waning years of the Galactic Alliance. However, the effort would prove to be ineffective as the Sith took hold of the Empire and conquered nearly half of the galaxy. It wouldn’t be years until after the exile of the Jedi Order would the Masters of the Order decide to restore the Jedi Shadow. With rumors that the once broken Order was reorganizing, the Sith became increasingly aggressive in their hunt for lightsiders. The Jedi needed to be ahead of the Sith and their Hunters in order to continue to protect the Order.

The Jedi Shadow is separated into three divisions:

Shadows

Keeping with the traditions of the Jedi Shadow, those serving as shadows understand the thinking of the Sith and the Dark Side in general. The Shadow specializes specifically with countering the dark side, whether it is its followers, artifacts, or just gathering important information on them and their actions. To accomplish their missions, Shadows blend in with the ranks or by direct confrontation in order to eliminate any imposing dangers. Their purpose once infiltrating is to gather information of Sith and Dark Cults movement as well as their collective knowledge on the Jedi Order. All information is reported back to the Shadow Keeper and Grand Master and if needed, Shadows may act if the situation calls upon to do so. Shadows are trained both body and mind to resist the dark side’s temptations and are often called to commit acts that question the Jedi morals and values.

Infiltrators

Infiltrators are responsible for the intelligence gathering and sabotaging of non-Force sensitive groups across the galaxy. Infiltrators blend in with ranks of civilians, criminals, and other societies in which the Order believe they should keep a watch upon. Jedi infiltrators rarely encounter followers of the dark side, but it does not imply they lack the skills to do so. Members involved in the Infiltrators listen for information on criminal movements and the information gathered is reported back to the Shadow Keeper and the Grand Master. If needed, Infiltrators may act when necessary to protect members of the Order as well as innocents in the galaxy. Just like the Shadows, Infiltrators have been trained extensively in both mind and body and carry whatever skills needed to blend in efficiently with the crowd in order to avoid compromise of the mission.

Antarian Rangers

Even in the direst of times, the Jedi had allies. The Antarian Rangers date before the fall of the Old Republic assisting the Jedi Order in missions that would not seem to fit a Jedi Knight. Members consisted of non-Force Sensitives as well as those who were not enough Force Sensitive to be fully trained as Jedi. The Antarian Rangers take on a variety of tasks and missions or even assist in helping supply members with materials and assets needed to defend peace and justice throughout the galaxy. There is not just one specialty within the Antarian Rangers making their unique make up, training, and knowledge invaluable to the New Jedi Order. Those recruited into the Rangers are selected under strict guidelines and go through extensive training in order to fully prepare them for whatever mission they may come upon.
