The first summer rain arrives on oir little corner here on the planet Naboo, and the morning signifies another year added to Father's life.
He tells me that, while not being much of a sentimental man, the rain reminds him of the family he left on [REDACTED] when he began his pursuit of knowledge about the mysteries of the Dark Side of the Force. Father said that the loss of his only son to a Jedi Knight – and subsequently his wife's due to grief – was what set him off to this path, and that he would never regret travelling down this long and treacherous road to power.
He should never, in my opinion. Not when he had taken the Jedi's life as payment for the ones they took from Father.

Father spends most days these past few weeks in the estate to keep up appearances of an aging man who finds the nature Naboo offerred as a balm to his world-weary soul. He also keeps up an act of someone who suffers from an illness and whose only respite were the fresh air and sprawling mountains and lakes that do wonders to his fragile health. But despite the act and his age Father's strength belies the latter. His connection to the Dark Side was as strong as it has been during his younger years. And even after the years we spent together in the Cadre Project and after as a family, he still have a lot to teach me both in life and the Force.
His cool intellect and his strength in the Force keep his... business partners afraid of him and in check. And while I trust Father that he can easily deal with them should they betray him, I am constantly keeping an eye on them as well.
They have no hopes of escaping Father's fury. And if, by some miracle, that they did?
There is no escaping mine.

Darth Malicia's downfall has greatly amused Father. There is something in the way he talked about her that spoke of a familiarity I can't quite understand. Have they met in the past? Had something occurred that incited this familiarity towards her?
