Really, the Mid-Rim planet of New Cov isn’t what you would call a particularly ‘hospitable’ place to live. It’s population is relegated into secure, domed cities, while the majority of the surface is covered in dense jungles filled with lethal flora and fauna. Which, just so happen, to be a lucrative source of non-synthesizable biomolecules – making the planet a valuable target for the ISC. For weeks, Galek Ordalos has been in discussions with the government of New Cov – finally organizing a diplomatic summit on the surface to negotiation the planet’s entry into the ISC.

While in route to the summit, the delegation of New Cov officials was attacked by the planet’s lethal inhabitants while crossing through the wilds – leaving their shuttle stranded deep within the jungle. Seeking to earn the goodwill of the planetary leaders, ISC Rangers are called upon to brave the deadly wilds of New Cov and rescue the stranded delegation, and bring them back to the negotiating table.

Darius wasn’t exactly feeling enthusiastic about his current mission. Since becoming an ISC Ranger, the Lokkian had been sent into a variety of different dangerous scenario – everything from active warzones like Firrerre, AMS infected planets and spice dens crawling with Syndicate thugs. Hell, there was even that whole haunted-murder-mansion debacle.

Of course, none of that made the journey to New Cov palatable. Really, ‘deadly jungle that wants to kill you at every step’ simply wasn’t something Darius expected nor wanted to cross off his bucket list. Quite frankly, the Lokkian was convinced his current assignment was a bit of petty punishment by his superiors after that whole Starfun POP! incident back on Naboo.

Regardless of the circumstances, here Darius was – preparing to disembark from the shuttle that brought him to the vegetation-dense surface of New Cov. Everything from the animals to the flowers of this planet was aggressively hostile, and the Lokkian came equip for the environment – sporting his standard ISC Sniper Armor, alongside a BM-792 Zok 10 Rifle in his arms.

While he anticipated a great deal of complication along the way, in theory, their objective on the planet was rather simple. A still-functional tracking beacon indicated where the New Covian delegation had crash landed deep within the wilds, though the dense vegetation required them to proceed the rest of the way on foot in order to extract the diplomats.

Darius glanced to the other side of the passenger compartment, sapphire eyes fixating onto his partner in this mission. The Lokkian had done a double-take when he read the name jotted down beside his own on the briefing, and there was still a heavy layer of skepticism to his voice.

“You sure that you’re up to this?”
