Just Business. (((Red Skulls& Invite))

A small sleek black craft quickly flew towards the Industrial planet of Mechis III. The craft bore a few humans, and one almost human, all intent on accomplishing something great today. The almost human one was the leader, the one who had come up with the plans for what was to be done today, the almost human was Darcian. The green glow from his armor and eyes washed over the control panel, bathing it an an odd light. Darcian loved piloting his personal ship, but hoped that he would have more ships at the end of this. How today went would most likely determine the fate of the Red Skulls. He had a few other allies in his ship, and he supposed that they would be some of the most important people in the world to him. As the small craft drew even closer to the planet, Darcian set it on an autopilot to land in the hangar that he was expected to be at.

Darcian had previously made arrangements to talk with a few of the planets higher ups. He had ordered one thousand war droids from them, and told them that he may very well be interested in buying more. The prospect of more business, had made them not care at all about Darcian's desire to talk in person, so all was going according to plan.

Jax did not particularly like space travel. He could never completely accept the fact that his years of training and fighting could be blown away in an instant by a twist of fate like mechanical failure, orbital debris, etc. There was only one ship in which he felt completely safe on, the one he was on board now. The ship was the jewel of Darcian's arsenal, a state of the art ship that had every inch custom designed.

As the ship hurtled through space, Jax listened to flip music, a descendant of a time forgotten that consisted of stringed instruments and hollow cylinders. He knew that he needed to be at his full potential during this next job, a little something Darcian had though up back on Kamino, so he had the music turned low, barely audible in fact.

He was running a diagnostic on his weapons and armor while waiting. His suit was at full power, though a few circuits that would need work if he stressed their connection too greatly in this job. He was content however, he had gone over and made his own customizations to the armor after receiving it form Darcian. He was confident that it would stand up to anything he would encounter on Mechis III, though he wouldn't want to take a direct hit from an apocalypse war droid or anything, but a few hand-held-blaster shots would do little to the armor.

Jax took moment to stop checking his weapons and gave his friend Darcian a reassuring nod as he walked by. Jax knew that his friend needed him to watch his back in the coming hours.

Darcian nodded back at Jax, grateful for the gesture. This would not be the most difficult task that he ever had embarked on, but there was alot riding on it. His position in the galaxy, and many others relied almost entirely on how today went. He sighed when he thought about how much value a planet with a population of seventy two could have, when there were planets with populations in the billions, that meant almost nothing.

The ship started to almost unnoticeably shake when it entered the orbit. This was perfectly normal for any ship, and would usually be worse with a same size ship. Darcian loved customizing everything he owned, making it better than everything else.

Darcian run a quick systems check on his armor, and body. Not that there was that much difference between the two, but he liked to remember that there were still a few human things in him. Everything was perfect, all real and machine parts were working fine in him, everything was at full charge, courtesy of very recent charge. He hadnt brought nearly as much weaponry with him as he usually did, but, he didnt think he would really need to. Nor did he think walking into a business meeting carrying a blaster rifle was very appropriate either. He would only bring one small blaster pistol, and the weaponry that was built into his body, which wasnt anything to scoff at.

The ride returned to being perfectly smooth as they drew to the final few moments of thier flight, he hoped that there would be someone to greet them, even though Darcian had studied this this area's layout for a long time, and knew it very well.

Jax felt the ship slow as it steadily fell through the atmophpere, condensation cooling the ship's hull. Outside the main view port, Jax managed to see what appeared to be a the industrial section of a metropolis, factories and warhouses everywhere.

Jax then dissasembled his blaster rifle and put it in its holding container, disguised as a large brief case. He also hid his short sword in his trench coat, with his dagger and knives hidden inside as well. He knew that he must look as diplomatic as possible, so the only visible weapon he carried was his belted hand and a half sword. His trench coat covered the rest of his weapons and most of his body armor, only his boots and helmit not covered.

Jax stood up and held to an overhanging beam, ready to step off the craft as soon as it was inside the hanger.

Albelt Corraine layed on what substituted for a bed in his small quarters of the ship. He was surprised that he was given such a tiny room, but he wouldn't dare complain. He had locker to keep all of his stuff in, and a cot to sleep on. When you got down to it, there wasn't much else that was neccesary.

Albelt wasn't currently dressed for warefare. He wore his regular outfit, minus the chestplate. His Lightsaber was hooked to his beltloop, and his hair pulled back into a ponytail. He was thinking about his younger sister, and trying to figure out why Dart, or Darcian now, wanted so many of his elite agents on such a small mission. There wasn't going to be much resistance on this tiny little planet, why was so much force neccesary?

A little warning sound went off over the entire ship as it glided smoothly into the hangar bay and started to land. Darcian was still nervous abut this op, even with the amount of force he had brought with him. Everyone on the ship would've then known that the ship had, after what seemed an entirenity of waiting, reached its destination.

Darcian stood up slowly, the pilot's chair creaking softly as he did. The sound oddly reassured him. The three elite Red Skull stealth units that he had brought with him had not left the command room of the ship, and he did not think that Jax really had either. He didnt quite know where Albelt was at the moment, just that he was on the ship. These should be enough men, even if things go the wrong way. He thought to himself.

"Well men, I am sure that all of you know what we will be doing here today." Darcian was speaking without any voice modifiers, his real voice before the operation. Which wasnt very common. " I am also sure that you know how much is riding on how we perform today", he paused, Was he giving them a pre-combat speech? He had never done this before. He wished that he could see thier expressions, but thier helmets, which they had already put on, prevented that. "The future of the Red Skulls depends on our sucess today. Do not take this mission lightly, no matter how easy it may seem." The precombat speech it is, he thought to himself. "Remember, as you fight today, you could make this your moment, this takeover could be remembered throughout the galaxy for years to come... as the start of a new era. The red Skull era!" He hoped that his speech would at least be mildly inspiring to the men, and for a few seconds it seemed like his words had been for nothing, but then the three all nodded gratefully, and clapped al little bit. Good to see I'm not completely worthless as a leader,He thought to himself.

Albelt heard the speech through his Com-Link, and let out a soft smile. Dart, or rather Darcian, had tried his best to give a speech, and Albelt would credit him for that. He had an unsatiable urge to give his own speech to the crew, but he wouldn't dream of undermining Darcians authority in such a blatant way. However, Albelt did reserve the right to comment on said speech at a later time. Perhaps Albelt would need to lecture Darcian on what were the things to focus on in such an important speech. No matter.

Albelt stood up from his cot and put the rest of his armor on, strapping a Disruptor pistol to his belt and slinging a Red Skull Rifle over his shoulder. Why get close to the enemy when you could assault them from afar. After equiping himself he made his way out of his quarters straight for Darcian. Upon seeing him he gave him a nod of acknowledgment, his way of saying he was prepared.

Darcian turned away from his men, and nodded back to Albelt, having him there was just liek having Jax, a major reassurance. He looked to the door, the layers of metal were all that needed to be moved in order to start. He slowly pressed his palm against the blue door release button. The door gave a breif beep, then slowly started to slide downward.

It revealed what Darcian expected it to, a very clean looking, normal hangar bay. It also revealed something that else that darcian had expected, the people he had come to discuss with had brought security. There was a lgroup of eight to ten peope standing only about fifteen feet from where Darcian was now. There was on that Darcian recognized, he had spoken with this man before, he was the one that Darcian had made the arangements with. He was a tall man, with an odd scar, that cut down the right side of his face. He was also wearing a business suit. Which a situation like this normally called for. The rest of his entourage however, was wearing full body armor, which made it so none of them were in any way distinguished from the others.

Darcian walked out of the ship first, hoping that he could avoid combat until the right time. He had no weapons drawn, and if he wasnt a huge glowing green cyborg, then he probalby would not have seemed threatening at all.
He walked close to them, hopng that they wouldnt just decide to fire on him.

"Greetings." He said to them. His voice was still in its normal form, and it was too late to change it on them now. He looked around at them and said "I thought that we were here to talk about business, not have a war." The men all looked at thier commander, the exec looking man.

"Good, good, I had hoped that we would not have to test out our sercurity force's abilities today." the man looked relieved, as if he knew that darcian by himself couldve taken the entire force, without recieveing much personal damage. The men lowerered thier weapons, and the tension in the room seemed to decrease. "So, if you would like to come with me, i am sure that I can take us to a place that we will be able to discuss without so many... unnessecary weapons. But, you must come with me alone, and in turn, I will leave my security entourage elsewhere."

Damn, Darcian thought to himself, this will make things much more difficult.
Then he realized, No, it wont Albelt willmost likely be able to deal with this better with no one watching him anyways, and then Jax can do what he needs to do as well. "That will work fine" Darcian said to the man. His allies had thaankfully stayed on the ship, but would now be able to do what they needed. Everything seemed to be working out better than expected.

"Then come with me." The man, who's name was Dimitri, pointed to what looked like a shuttle for the facility. He then started to walk briskly towards the shuttle. The security walked in other directions.

Darcian assumed that there was alot of automated security on this station, and that was why this man now seemed so confident... but still. He followed the man to the shuttle, catching up very quickly. They entered the small shuttle together, and the door seaed. Darcian did not know where it would take them, but that did not matter, he would find a way to deal with whatever happened.

Albelt smirked to himself as Darcian went “unprotected” with Dimitri. There were entirely to many security guards with the man, and they were heavily armed. It was almost as if they suspected something was up. They all had an air of overconfidence to them, most likely due to the automated security that was on the planet. No worries there, Albelt would have that dealth with soon enough..

Albelt walked off of the ship up to one of the security guards, the black robe that covered him hiding the body armor that he wore. He most likely looked like a Jedi to the guard, and hopefully wouldn’t rouse any suspicion. “ Say, I’ve actually never been to this planet before. I’d rather like to get some information on it. You see I am writing a book on, well security. I’ve recently come to realize that the men on the security forces of smaller planets such as this take there job more seriously, as they have a tighter relationship with the people they have sworn to protect. I’m sure an upstanding gentleman like yourself would agree with me. I’m rather curious about the precautions you take to make sure the people of your planet stay safe. Is there any type of tour or something of the like that I could go on, so as to learn how these advanced defense systems of yours keep the citizens safe?”

Albet smiled as he watched the man think it over, seeing the exact moment when the man decided that he could trust Albelt. Albelt would work this man like clay. 7 minutes from now he would know exactly how the communications and defenses of this planet ran, and how to shut them down.

Both Darcian and Dimitri sat in silence while the shuttle took them somewhere. Tehy sat acroos from eachother, niether eally looking at the other. Dimitri most likely did not say anything because he was sitting across from a large green cyborg in an enclosed space. Darcian did not speak, simply because he prefered it when the other person spoke first. This went on for about two minutes, when the shuttle came to a peaceful halt.

A computerized voice came from a small speaker in the shuttle, and the voice said "Offices". Darcian couldnt imagine a planet with 72 people having very many offices, unless every single person who lived and worked there had thier own office. The door gave off a little hiss, then slid open, leading out into a nice looking lobbyish area. There were only about three door in it though, so that meant three offices in the whole building. Lots of wasted space, Darcian thought to himself as the Dimitri stood up.

He had not realized until then that Dimitri was carrying a disruptor pistol in a holster on his leg. He needed to pay more attention to what went on. Though, it didnt really matter much what the man was armed with to Darcian, all small arms did about the same amount to his shields and armor.

Dimitri stood slowly, and took a few steps out of the shuttle. His shoes clacked on the wooden floors loudly. Wooden floors here mustve cost alot. Darcian thought to himself. Dimitri made a gesture for Darcian to follow him, and he did. Wondering which one of the three roooms he would be going into.

"I trust you found the shuttle ride comfortable?" He was no talking to Darcian how he would most likely alk to a prospective customer, and that is how Darcian wanted it to be. He walked quickly over to the room that was on the left side of the lobby, and Darcian folllowed.

"Yes, It was very comfortable, thank you." Darcian tried to now speak like a potential customer. There was no reason at all to get this man back to being on the alert. The man put his hand on a pad beside the door, and it slid open.

It was just as Albelt had assumed. The kind young man told Albelt all bout how all the defenses were set up to a single control unit in a building not far away. Infact, it would only take Albelt about fifteen minutes to get there.

” I think I’ll check this out for myself, young sir. Perhaps you would be so kind as to direct me to this building? I’d like to talk to the secretary there. You see I am more than just an author, I am an associate of Czerka, and work in the defense department. This planet has been chosen to be the forerunner in moder defense technology. I apologize for the false introduction at first. I’m sure if you escorted me to the building yourself, I could see to it that you are put in charge of this program. Czerka pays very well. “

Albelt had the man again, trapped in this little web of lies. How easy this was! The security force was going to escort Albelt directly to the building that controlled the planets defenses. This couldn’t possibly have faired any better

Dimitri then walked into the room, without watching to see if Darcian followed. Darcian really hoped that this wasnt some sort of elaborate trap. Because if it was, then Darcian was walking right into it. Darcian walked into thhe doorway and stopped. the room was huge. It had marble flooring, a large fireplace on the oppsite side of the room. The walls were made of a deep dark hardwood. This had to have been extremely expensive to put together. Though, Darcian did not admire this, since this seemed to be all that this man put his money into.

There was a large wooden desk in the center of the room, it had precious metals lining it, also a useless display of the man's wealth. There were many different holo's on it all displaying business reports, and the like. He walked over to the desk, and sat in a large comfortable looking black chair. He then pushed a button, which turned off all of the holos. "Please, sit down Mr. Aran", he pointed to a similar black chair, on the opposite side of the desk.

The name struck Darcian, an unwanted reminder of who used to be. Its not that he dislked who had been, just that he could never go back to that, and becomin inhuman isnt something that most people usually think of as one of thier better times. "Thank you." He said as he walked up quickly, and took the seat. He wondered how long it would take for Albelt to disable the comms systems. He also wondered if any of the commando's were doing anything, or if they were waiting for a combat situation.

OOC: sorry dudes, Internet isn't working quite right, and my character is Jax, not Barnabas, lol

IC:
Jax had to admit that, for a planet producing mechanical warriors, there were very few defences, or security measures in place. Were these 72 office workers THAT confident in their mechanized army?

Jax had followed Darcian to the shuttle, keeping to the shadows, not bothering to turn on his optical camouflage. After a quick scan of exterior, he found that there were no sensors on the shuttle to detect foreign objects. He then found some hand holds on the top of the shuttle, and stowed away. The shuttle did not move very quickly, and even if it did, his armor would aid him in retaining his hold. As the shuttle flew along, he did notice many security measures in the city, yet none seemed to be very effective, none up to the standard of the Red Skulls anyway.

Jax was acting as Darcians backup, just in case fighting did ensue. He did not necessarily think that he was needed, but Darcian had a tendency of not watching his back, not that he needed to, but Jax was not about to let his bud go into a trap alone.

As the shuttle landed, Jax was forced to turn on his optical camouflage, so the security force would not see him. He tumbled behind a huge potted plant in the lobby area, not wanting to take any chances. His armor's scanners suddenly went off and immediately began to cool it's outer surface. Apparently there were security measures that could pick up heat signatures. Jax was glad he and Darcian had spent so long on his armor.

Darcian and the pencil pusher went into one of the rooms, and Jax positioned himself outside the door, ready to help at any sign of trouble.

OOC: Sorry, didnt want to wait for Albelt anymore.

Dimitri smiled a business smile at Darcian, and started giving him his spiel about how Darcian was getting these droids at a very low price, and how he would definitely keep getting such great prices if he became a regular customer. The man also was giving him some bullshit about how much he respected the Red Skulls, and how he was taking personal losses to make sure that our prices stayed very low. Darcian was getting annoyed at the man very quickly.

Darcian switched his view into a heat signature view, which would let him see any surveillance equipment that may be in the room. His eyes looked over the huge patch of red in front of him, which included the man, and his desk in general. The desk was apparently full of electronic equipment. He quickly scanned the walls and the cieling, and saw nothing. This was extremely surprising to Darcian, as the rest of the facility seemed to be full of it. This man probably was in the belief that once he brought someone into his office, there was no more need for the protection. How entirely wrong he was.

Dimitri still hadnt noticed that Darcian wasnt paying any attention at all, and was still rambling on. Though, it sort of seemed like it was almost the end of his speech. He would probably be annoyed when Darcian didnt have much to say after a speech like that. Good thing for him that he wouldnt have to be.

Darcian calmly lifted his hand, so that he was pointing at Dimitri. Dimitri started to give him a somewhat confused look, which turned into a split second of fear as the blade jettisoned out of Darcian's fist into his face. The blade went straight through Dimitri's face piercing the bone and flesh with ease. He died almost instantly, but still most likely had known what had happened to him in the end. "Sorry about that Dimitri" Darcian said quietly as he stood up. He wasnt sure what type of administrative access Dimitri had, but he would very soon find out.

He walked to over the the freshly dead body, which hadnt really moved since it had died, just that it's head was slightly tilted from the force of the blade. Though, there was a small pool of blood right behind the chair. Darcian had no desire to sit there, so he quite simply pushed the chair away from the table, with the body still in it.

Jax calmly walked into the room after overhearing Darcian's loss of patience. He knew his buddy was going to do this sometime, sooner or later. Darcian was a great tactical planner, but he was practically a little fledgling when it can to waiting for what he wanted. It was convienient though, Darcian always got the job done quick.

He leaned against the wall next to the door, not wanting to get in Darcian's way in case he was still looking for a little blood, he would give him something to do sooner or later. The security was still on, and Jax wasn't sure if the security forces had a biomonitor on Dimitri, so he was ready to defend the doorway.

Albelt nodded as the man told him where the central console was for the planets defense system. He waved his hand and force persuaded the man.

" Tell me, what are the access codes for the defense system?"

" 34277-9QR4" the man replied, dominated by Albelts persuasion.

" Good, thats all I really wanted. You've surved your purpose."

In an instant an arm shot out from beneath the cloak, and an old fashioned knife became well aquainted with the mans throat. Deadly, fast, and silent.

Albelt made his way to the command station. This was going entirely to well.

What should I do now? Darcian thought to himself as he looked through the list of options available on Dimitri's account. For being the head honcho around here, Dimitri hadnt been very smart. Darcian guessed he didnt expect the thing to be on Darcian's mind to be the take over of the planet.

Darcian looked over the pale screen, finding out that he really could do basically almost anything he wanted from this computer, except for disable the planet's defence systems, and there were no enviromental controls. He quickly went to the planet's comms system. He could not disable the internal comms, but he could make sure that nothing could be sent off planet. Which, would most likely be good enough. He terminated all communications off planet. Now, the only had to deal with the around 60 people who were left on the planet. Though, now he had to work quickly, as the other higher ups in the facility would most likely notice this removal of communications and do something about it.

Ooh, that will be useful. Darcian thought to himself as he saw the solution to his problem. Stupidly enough, there was a temporary lockdown on almost all of the functions for the facility. Dimitri mustve had a little power thing going on Darcian though. It would last him for about three hours, which would most likely be enough time for Darcian to eliminate anyone else with administrative access.

Darcian waited for a few seconds before he decided whether the lockdown was a good idea or not. It would be inconvienent, and destroy any chance at all of getting back up, or of using the facility's droids against them. But, it would completely nullify the chance of any off world assistance for the planet. It would also make sure that no huge group found out about the attack. The pro's seemed to outwiegh the cons. Darcian activated the lockdown. The monitor instantly went blank, as everything except for certain comm systems, planetary defense, automated doors and enviromental controls were disabled.
I hope that we can get this done in time. Darcian thought to himself, as he started to walk out the door, to deal with the other higher ups of the facility.

Jax looked at the dead man in the chair. The lack of the man's annoying voice is what had tipped Jax off in the first place.

Jax still covered the door, though he heard some motion outside the door. As Darcian walked toward the door, Jax stepped aside. He was wondering whether Darcian even realized he was there, so intent was he on his hunt and destroy plan.

Jax did a quick sweep of the area outside the office and saw no obvious hostiles, but he was ever the cautious one, so he remained inside the door frame, continuing to scan for more passive, or hidden enemies.

Darcian quickly walked towards the next office door that was in the room. There were only two more rooms, which should mean that there were two more execs to get rid of. He noticed a little blip on a small radar, which on the lower right side of his HUD. It marked that an ally was there, and the ally was most likely Jax. Darcian didnt bother looking to Jax, but instead pointed at a door, the one that was in the middle of the other two. He then sent a command over the short range comm that would show up on Jax's visor. The command was breach and eliminate. He hoped that Jax would understand the need for the cruel efficiency in which they were doing this operation, and not do anything that would ruin thier chance of success. The process took only three seconds, as arcian had trained with this system for quite a while.

He then walked up to the one door that was left. It was exactly the same as the other two doors, except that there was a small golden insignia near the top of it. He didnt much care what they insiginia was, but he did wonder what it meant. Oh well, he would see soon enough. He closed the distance to the door, and waited for Barnabas to move up to his door, so that they could act simultaneously.
