There he stood Raiden found himself around the middle of the city on Coruscant. The wind was blowing rather fast today, and many people were scurrying around to go where they belonged… The sun was in a downcast, soon to be gone. The Zabrak found his own self running to nearby shelter. A storm was coming and there was no way to avoid it rather then to find shelter.

A few minutes later he found himself in a filled Cantina/Hotel with many patrons crowding him. He made his way to the counter in which he ordered a glass of water. In a matter of moments the server placed the water onto the counter, he quickly placed his hand around the cup and turned around. Raiden eventually drank down the water, placing the cup back onto the counter, his eyes gazed among the rest of the Cantina/Hotel… Just waiting for something entertaining to happen... Something ought to entertain him…

Outside he could hear a nearby landing dock. Many ships came inbound in count of the weather. He knew the Cantina/Hotel would become even more crowded, and the rooms would become unavailable. Immediately he took the obnoxious offer. He turned to the server and politely asked:

"Is there a room open, indeed I have credits." Raiden offered.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah," the Server replied annoyed, "second room, top floor."

Raiden stood upright, and laid the appropriate amount of credits down, and continued to his room. A few minutes after he found himself opening the door to the room he was ordered too. The room was old and smelt musty. The bed resembled of aging and tear. The floors creaked loudly, and the walls looked terrible. The room was much different then any other normal suite he slept in. Raiden thought "It'll do for now." He fell, the bed catching him... Raiden fell asleep…

“You should go…” Kartel murmured half asleep.

“Your gonna be late for work. He added.

Daveny had just finished dressing herself and had begun to remove her make-up when he advised her to leave. She looked over her shoulder at the crumpled sheets and couldn’t help but wonder if her visage had influenced the sudden order.

She continued to wipe the thick putty paste from her cheek bones and corrected :

“I’m off today…”

He grunted.

“My mistake, Love.”

She gazed at her reflection ruefully and brought her palm to her face harshly slapping off the last of the cover with relief. Its not as though it had erased her scars- it hardly even faded them, it did; however, fill in a bit of the chunks gone missing from the hacks and slashes she had been dealt in the past.

She was not ashamed. On the contrary, she regarded her looks with much satisfaction, She wore her disfigurement like badges of honor.

But they were thick and distracting, Scars that zig zagged her face, crossing and hatching, some deep and penetrating, others shallow and long. Her Lekku weren’t spared either, for one hung short and uneven, the victim of a sloppy severe. They were rigged and appeared in little segments.

Her eyes were narrow and auburn with thick lashes that cast small shadows on her skin of icy blue. If not for her mutilation she might inspire vanity- She wore a leather top covering a longer white tank with pants slung low on the curve of her hip and boots rising past her thigh, cut to make them appear near the length of chaps.

“I’ll get going…” she murmured then departed the rented room with her waders of pewter clacking down the hall. She sighed deeply, feeling much more lonely and confused then she had when they arrived but she ascended the stairs to the cantina above with little or not trace of the emotion.

It was noisy and bustling, she made her way through the crowd and to the bars front with a bit of difficulty, shoving an intoxicated woman from her seat to seize it herself.

“Whoopsie! One too many huh?” she said, turning to the man the previous occupant had been conversing with. She jabbed her thumb in her direction, flashing him a grin which he returned…until his eyelevel rose above her chest and he regarded her grotesque features with shock.

“y-yeah…” he muttered.

She sat a moment then spied a familiar young body across the counter.

Bess, a young girl whom she worked with at the cantina not far below in lower Coruscant.

She went to her side and hooked an arm around her happily exclaiming as the human jolted with surprise:

“Hey Bess!”

She peered in return, forcing a smile.

“Oh- hi Daveny…what are you doing here?”

Daveny’s nose wrinkled at the lack luster response.

“What are you doing in here, you're underage, you rapscallion!” .

“My dad…I just wanted to get a way for awhile.” She replied, lowering her head.

“You know what I mean? We had another fight and I really don’t think I can go back and face him.”

Daveny took in the situation and scratched her head.

“You know…when I was a kid I used to stay with this older human sometimes, he was a great man- looked out for me, gave me a roof over my head- food when I needed it- good guy…I always thought that’s what having a dad might be like.” said the twi’lek.

Bess looked at her with pity.

“Oh, Daveny…I-”

“Then he tried to feel me up when I turned 15 and we weren’t on such good terms!” she finished, nearly sending the girl hurtling from her chair with the tone of nonchalance she used.

“But my point is- they don’t last, he might not always be around…so take your time and make it good…”

cuse before you know it he’ll be trying to feel you up…’ she mentally finished.

They sat there a while enjoying one another’s company when Bess ventured to touch the Twi’leks hand.

It was a grave mistake…. Jerking back with a cry, she fell to the floor, holding her palm as if it had been bitten.

The people in close proximity to witness it fell silent.

She sat on the floor panting, her eyes wide with shock as the human mirrored. her expression.

“…keep your hands away from me…!” Daveny growled.

Bess had just extended her own to offer her assistance when she met a blaster to her forehead.

“I said don’t!” roared the twi’lek, sweat beading on her brow.

“I don’t want anything to do with that Voo doo!” she cried, waving the gun around the bar and sending people scurrying. She brought her palm to her face momentarily pained.

It only happened with “them.”

Every time her skin made contact with one she would feel a shock of friction from force sensitives…it was like her body rejecting their presence.

A Large Cather male approached, clasping her shoulder and trying to calm her,

She felt it again- as a reflex she turned and popped a slug through his head, sending an outcry as the bystanders panicked. She fled.

Seeking any hideout she began to search any unlocked doors in the rooms for rent, finding one open and quickly shutting herself inside- unaware of its occupant.

Raiden awoke suddenly from the out roar from downstairs. He plopped his head out from his pillow and searched his room around a bit. It was still the same room, old, ugly, and unfinished... But there seemed to be something new to it. He felt the presence of some else. The force had told him that, and he flinched a bit trying to become more aware.

His eyes came into vision and he saw a Twi'lek run into the room in a panic. Immediately he jumped from his bed onto the floor. He forced himself to look at the girl, she was horrid. But he took no mind into that, he simply was looking for who she was, and why she had entered his room. But who couldn't have entered the room? It was so in secured. By now the Twi'lek could recognize he was there…

After seeing the blaster in the Twi'lek's hand Raiden ran his hands down his hilt, he kept his hand on his hilt just in case of any emergency of threat from the Twi'lek. Unfortunately Raiden had his hood down from his shoulders. His face was revealed he was a Zabrakian, with the skin of a rich kind of green, the darkness from the room created a gloom from his yellow eyes. His clothing was almost simple, he had darkened torso and bottoms. As for his hands and feet they were covered with green bandages which served as boots and gloves. His robing lay in the back on his bed, the robing was attached to his hood, his appearance seemed friendly. The twi'lek's have not.

"Who are you.…?" Raiden asked in curiosity, "What serves your purpose for being here?"

At this time Raiden was circling to his one side, and around to take a better look the Twi'lek.

(uhh...Zabrakian? XD...Its just Zabrak, dude.)

Daveny Glared as the sounds of foot steps filled the halls, she brought a finger to her lips for silence and leaned as tight as her skin would allow, to the far comer behind the door, shutting her eyes as the sounds passed.

His manner of speaking was laughable. Who did he think he was some prince or king from a cheesy holo vid?

When the sounds ceased she turned to him with a grin and one short note of laughter through her nose.

"My purpose for being here..? How philosophical…-shut your lips and we can get better aquainted-" she lifted her blaster and intended to use it.

"look at you." she chuckled.

"what a shame, what a shame, I want to hide from the angry townspeople with fire and pitch forks and you want to pillow talk!"

It was then when a third person entered the room. A man, 32 years old, with dirty blonde hair, brown eyes, and a friendly face. He wore a black leather jacket with a red shirt underneath. His pants were brown and he wore a couple of black boots. He also wore dark brown leather gloves.

He wore a belt with a holster at his right hip, which was empty. The blaster which was supposed to be in the holster was being held by his right hand and the barrel was aimed at the twi'lek in front of him.

This man looked like a mercenary, but in fact he was much more than that. His lightsaber was hidden in a pocket, inside his jacket.

"You." the man said to the twi'lek. "Put that gun away and sit down." he pointed at a chair in the corner of the room.

He then stepped further into the room and closed the door and locked it.

"You've got nothing to fear from me. Just tell me what the hell's going on."

Been around five minutes, and no word was out yet. He did not like waiting long, and it was already long enough. Valek Dagger leaned off the wall outside the cantina, wearing his black longcoat and signature helmet as he turned and calmly walked into the Cantina, and already saw there was a mess inside. One fatality of a Cathar and other live sentients in the area were in an uproar, something happened here that resulted in the Cathar's death, and several of the bystanders were looking for the culprit. That was when someone approached him, a human male.

"Sir, please clear the bar area. There is a murderer int he area!" The man said, placing his hands infront of Valek to try to calmly get him out of the area, though he was gently pushed aside by the Initiate.

"That is my reason for being here." Valek said without much feeling as he walked past the man. He had both his Magnum and "Other" weapon safely concealed inside his longcoat as he bent down to investigate the fatality, seeing it was a projectile weapon instead of blaster, bits of skull and brain were on the floor as Valek examined it without touching them. Standing up, he turned to the bartender and pointed his gloved hand at him. "How many are on the next floor, in the rooms?" Again, little feeling was in his voice, but it sounded like he meant business.

"N...Not too many. Four... five perhaps. I do not know for sure."

Valek turned towards the staircase and walked up it until he was on the second floor. Most sentients were probably sleeping, but he could hear some activity coming from room, one where his Master was in. Valek could sense it, and headed towards the room, but did not enter or even get near the doorway until he was sure his presence was needed. Right now, he was to keep anyone from entering the room. He was sure of it though, that something was about to take place in there...

"Perhaps you both should be telling me what's going on here? I came here to sleep not be troubled. You with the blaster." Raiden said to the man. "What exactly is going on here? Seeming as this Twi'lek is the person that caused it, i'd rather have your words over hers."

He meant what he said in respect, he had no attentions of harming anybody nor be threatened and possibly hurt himself. Raiden was a fearless, but whenever it came to encounters that he didn't know about. He knew only to find the problem first. Raiden stopped circling the Twi'lek once the other male had walked in. He simple walked to the side and allowed him to handle the situation before interrupting.

Raiden figured it was safe enough for him to grab onto his robings, he knew something ought to happen and figured he should get his stuff before that time deems upon everybody. He grabbed onto his green robings which were trimmed in rich gold and covered his body with them. He kept a safe eye on the others across from the room. After he concealed his body with his robings he only stood there, his hand was still clenched onto his hilt. Waiting for an answer and to figure a way to get the hell out of there.

"Me and my partner, who should be waiting outside of the cantina, were coming here for a drink when we suddenly heard some noise. Upon entering I saw this girl gunning down a cathar male. She shot him through the head."

Quentell sensed the presence of Valek just outside of the room and he lied about everything he said, except for the part about her killing the cathar. He did not want to tell these people who Valek and he really were. If these people thought both he and Valek were just ordinary mercs, it was good.

"So I followed her. Wondering what the hell drove her to kill that cathar. As of you, I am sorry for disturbing your sleep."

Quentell also sensed the force in the zabrak in front of him. He could feel it coursing through the zabrak's limbs, through his veins. He knew he was dealing with a strong force-sensitive here. It intruiged him. But first things first, he had to deal with this twi'lek lady. He would call upon Valek if he needed him, but for now he could handle it on his own.

"So tell me, miss." he said to the twi'lek. "Why?"

Raiden figured the man infront of him was telling him the truth, he knew about the force in the being because he could sense it. But oddly he'd never seen that man before, he figured he wouldn't get in the way and just sit and relax. Before saying a word he sat down as if he was being taught a lesson. He still had his robings on and his hand on top of his hilt. He was waiting for something to happen.

Raiden only nodded at the man's words. He knew the man was here for a reason but didn't bother searching it out of him. He only stared at the Twi'lek curious of why and what she had done, just as the man was. He was waiting for the same response...

((Awesome I’ve been waiting to run into a shade for this very character’s purpose))

Daveny frowned, she dropped her blaster to the ground and outstretched a hand to touch the human’s skin.

“Don’t shoot me.” she muttered.

“…and if you do….get my good side.”

She braced herself for the sharp sting of static and shut her eyes tight.

Quentell was a little bit surprised by her action.

"I will not shoot anyone, right now." he said. His voice was powerful, but somewhat friendly. "I am only aiming this weapon at you, in case you try to shoot me or this good man here, whose sleep we've disturbed."

He then pushed her hand away and grabbed her pistol from the floor. He did not use Force Pull, because he did not want to drop his cover. These people had to think he was a mercenary and not the very Shade Knight he really was.

"Now, tell me. What the hell drove you to kill off that cathar?"

Raiden was in the process of getting his things, he wasn't too well disturbed only annoyed. His robings was secured, and his hilt was still in place. He turned around towards the man and Twi'lek.

"I should be leaving now, I have business and other things to do. I only came here for a place to sleep, and how awful the place looks now. I can't help but not to accept all of your apologizes. It wouldn't be right. The place if awful, and your disturbance was just bound to happen." Raiden mentioned everything as if he were sorry himself.

He slung his fingers around his hood and propped it over his head. Raiden's head nor his eyes could be seen. He walked towards the two. He was just about to leave...

Valek... Quentell used his force telepathy to contact his apprentice. ...There's a zabrak coming out. Don't let him go, yet. I've got the feeling he's more important than he seems to be.

"Fine." he said to the zabrak and quickly turned back to the twi'lek girl. "Now I want an explanation for your actions!"

"want in one hand, crap in the other- see which one fills up first." The twi'lek said, she held the human in her eyes a moment and let her tongue snake from of her lips to moisten them with its jagged tip.

her thoughts were far down the hall, She was thinking of Kartel, wondering if he could still be of use -just a scream away- she new he had most likely already departed...leaving her with a murder on her hands and a man with a gun on her case. Guilt hadn't set in yet- reality was far behind as well...the only thing that seemed to register was panic.

"Confirmed."

Valek replied telepathically, turning towards the Zabrak so his glowing green lense stared right at him.

"I would suggest you go back inside. Too many people downstairs seeking justice, and it would be a shame if you were mistaken for the crime."

Valek said towards the Zabrak as he stepped out, clearly getting Quentell's message. His gloved hand was resting inside his long coat pocket, not clutching his magnum yet, but would if this man decided to not listen. Valek then turned his head to the left, hearing something approach from a distance, it sounded like sirens.

"Master, you might want to speed things up in there. Law Enforcements are on the way." Valek telepathically sent to him, still slightly new at the whole telepathic communication ability.

Raiden took the man's words in an ungrateful way, but figured he was trying to help him. Raiden's face still covered with his hood. He only nodded and turned around and opened the passage to the room. He closed the door behind him, and looked to the two inside once again.

"The man told me I'd better stay in here." Raiden mentioned. Raiden let the words sink in a bit before he went back to sitting onto the edge of the bed. Upon entering the room
Raiden placed his hand right back onto his hilt. He made his way to the bed, and sat on the edge. Waiting again for something to happen.

Quentell frowned and then placed his blaster back in its holster. He looked over to the door as Valek's telepatic message came through clearly.

He then looked back to the twi'lek girl and said: "You're a murderer now. People have witnessed you killing that cathar and the authorities will search for you. You're in big trouble."

He sighed. He looked back to the door. They had to leave sooner then later or those authorities might mistake Valek, the zabrak and himself for criminals as well, if they found them in the same room as the twi'lek girl. He quickly moved over to the window and took a look outside.

The girl seemed to panic. It seemed like she had never killed anyone before, but then again, how did she get those scars?

Quentell then turned around and walked over to the door. "Let's leave." he said. "You two, follow me."

He opened the door and his apprentice appeared in front of him. "Alright, Valek. We're going. These two are coming with us. Is there a way out without encountering the authorities that you know of?"
