DESCRIPTION​

The K0-9 Diplomatic Station was created by Blackwell Orbital in answer to the growing Galactic need for safe, neutral, diplomatic locations in the current Galactic political climate. True to the reason for its design, the K0-9 has no weapons and a focus on defence and comfort for the people within - included within is a franchised restaurant that can be expected to cater to many different dietary needs and to do so to a reasonably high standard.

Despite having the size to support hangers larger than those fitted, the decision was made to limit the number of diplomatic shuttles that could land within the station to those of truly important diplomats only. Others choosing to attend are expected to enter the station via the docking ring entryways rather than the hanger bay areas. Each of the eight hanger bays is serviced by a security station which screens the diplomats and their entourage for weaponry and other contraband - the docking ring entrances also lead people through one of these stations.

Rooms are provided for visiting diplomats with access to the aforementioned restaurant and an entertainment center, including a small casino and stage. The main assembly room has seating for 500 people and an adjustable number of podiums for speakers.

While stationary, the K0-9 Diplomatic Station is safe to be towed through hyperspace by a team of heavy freighters.

LEGALITY​

Legal. K0-9 Diplomatic Stations are legal to buy and own by anyone, though running them to their highest standard requires complying with food and safety regulators across the Galaxy.

INTENT​

To create a station that can be used as neutral ground for diplomatic meetings and assemblies - allowing players to have discussions regarding the fate of planets and sectors without them needing to actually visit each individual planet; they can all just send diplomatic representatives to the station.

RESTRICTIONS​

K0-9 Diplomatic Stations are not restricted in their use due to their legality - they are restricted in use due to their sheer cost. As such K0-9 Diplomatic Stations are owned, collectively, by smaller planets in poorer systems or by factions.
