A note from the author,
I'm extremely new to forum RPs, but any critiques or suggestions are highly encouraged. Kerriwarr here has been my character in SW RPs for about a couple of years now. He's taken many forms, but I'm looking forward to this one particularly, as it's a new angle at the character I have yet to previously explore. I hope you all enjoy it!

APPEARANCE:
Dressed in an amalgamation of traditional Wookiee and Jedi garb, Kerriwarr represents the might of both of the aforementioned populations. Standing at a considerable height for one of the Rwook subspecies, Kerriwarr’s chestnut visage is rarely not seen as a centerpiece within any group he occupies, Wookiee or not. His braided fur is often arranged in a plethora of different patterns, being maintained and groomed daily. Kerriwarr is the epitome of cleanliness, despite his species’ primitive reputation. His garments are never tainted (save for when they have seen the grime of battle) and his fur is soft and smooth. His emerald green eyes appear in stark contrast to the earthy-toned fur which surrounds them, a notable resemblance to the color of his weapon’s blades.

ATTRIBUTES:
Mental Strengths & Weaknesses
StrengthsWeaknesses
Intellect
Kerriwarr has developed a reputation for being one of the most intelligent and well-read Jedi within the Order throughout his centuries of study. In addition to this vast experience, he is a naturally quick learner.
Piety
Kerriwarr is radically adherent to Jedi philosophy. His stalwart traditionalism is often met fondly by members of the Order, but many also note its hindrances, namely the rigidity of the Wookiees' thinking.
Wisdom
Through his centuries of study and experience, Kerriwarr has accrued no small deal of wisdom. His study of Jedi philosophy is well-renowned and celebrated, granting him the reputation of being among the wisest in the Order.
Obstinate
Kerriwarr is an extremely driven, focused person. This focus, in tandem with the Wookiees' adherence to the Jedi way, makes Kerriwarr extremely obstinate. Once his mind is set, there is very little that can change the Master’s thought on any matter.

PERSONALITY:
Kerriwarr is the epitome of what a Jedi should be. His adherence to the Jedi code is stalwart, unrelenting, and unforgiving to a fault. His piety is well-renowned throughout the Order’s various members, garnering him a reputation as one of the greatest of his generation. He is well-mannered, quiet, and reserved. This reservation is not to be mistaken for insecurity, however. Kerriwarr is confident and secure in his opinions absolutely, being open about his thoughts and opinions on any matter asked of him.

KashyyykKerriwarr was born to an expert woodcarver in a small town in Kashyyyk. He was born with two siblings, a sister and a brother. From his early days on, Kerriwarr showed great aptitude in spatial reasoning and physical coordination. He quickly became the most proficient athlete amongst his classmates and siblings within the nursery ring of his home tree. His interests were not in athletics, however. He was infatuated by his father’s work. Admiring the carvings and carpentry, he slowly began to amass the skills of his father over the course of his childhood. In addition, he also began to grow far taller than the other children. By age ten, he stood well taller than his peers, and quickly obtained the muscle mass to match.

When Kerriwarr turned eleven, he would take on the initiation ceremony that would take him from a boy into a young man. His Hrrtayyk ceremony, translated as the Trial of Ascension, sent him to the Shadowlands. His tribe sent him to the base of the tallest nearby Wroshyr tree in the area, and he was tasked with climbing it from bottom to top. The endeavor took him three days, and throughout the course of it, the boy had to fend off several of the native fauna, including a particularly nasty encounter with a pack of Wyyyschokks. The boy barely escaped the venomous spiders, relying on his only tool: The hand-crafted bowcaster given to him by his father prior to the beginning of the ceremony.

As Kerriwarr reached the top of the tree, he set out to create a beacon for the observers to see him and to prove his completion of the ceremony. He found a flat divot on the top of the tree and started assembling wood in the center of it. He created a small campfire, and despite his best attempts, he couldn’t manage to get enough air through the crevice in order to keep the fire sustainable. As his frustration grew, he eventually settled on his knees in front of his small campfire, watching it slowly die. He wanted so badly for the wind to carry the fire into a blazing inferno. The longer he concentrated on it, he started to feel a slight breeze. As he continued to shape the wind through the small depression in the tree, the breeze picked up into small, precise bursts of air that sent the campfire ablaze. The smoke signal was enough to get the attention of his clan, who had long thought him dead. They flew over to the tree and picked him up, where he told everyone about his gift of manipulating the wind.

Upon returning to his home, his family was elated to find that he was Force Sensitive and immediately sent for a Seeker from the Jedi Order. They held a great feast in his honor, knowing that Wookie Jedi were rare and that Kerriwarr would not only be a symbol of his clan but a representative of the Wookie people as a whole. During the feast, he was presented with a fine set of carving tools, a set of traditional beads to braid into his hair, and the last gift was the most profound. The Tree Carers came to the feast and presented him with a small package. It was a leather strung pouch full of Wroshyr seeds. They were to remind him of home and the pride they felt in him.

It was that day that Kerriwarr left his home behind, making his way into the Galaxy. Not just to join the Galaxy at large, but to become a peacekeeper. A Jedi.
YounglingHe arrived on Coruscant a day later, being transported by the Togruta Jedi Seeker; he was placed in a class of younglings shortly after arriving. He found his primary problem to be one of linguistics. He would have to learn Galactic Basic, which proved to be a rather menial task, as Wookies are quick learners. Within a year and a half, he was fluent in reading, writing, and understanding Basic. A few of his friends, one notably being a young Kel Dor named Cen Dral, learned to speak his native Shyriiwook early, which he found to be a comfort and an asset. They quickly became the best of friends, often training and reading together, and even sneaking off at night to play in the Temple Gardens or show one another the things they had learned.

Soon after finishing his studies on Basic and becoming fluent, he began his studies as a youngling. He quickly became an avid reader and a promising young student, along with Cen Dral, who quickly became skilled at sparring and dueling. They were at the top of their class and remained so through their trials.

Years later, Kerriwarr went on his gathering to the ice planet Ilum after completing his first trial with flying colors. He was brought to the caves where he would procure his lightsaber crystal. Kerriwarr traveled through the caves until he found himself in a wide chasm filled with a torrent of running water. His crystal was visible on the other side, though he had no way to get to it and the water wouldn’t freeze. He instead used the force, knocking over a large pillar of ice to use as a makeshift bridge and retrieve his crystal. He returned from the cave after three hours, just ahead of Cen Dral.

On their way back to Coruscant, Kerriwarr would construct his lightsaber using Cerakote, Chromium, and the wood of the Brylark tree. He opted to construct a saberstaff. The length of the hilt alone toed the line of a lightclub, its massive crystal emitting deep emerald blades from both emitters in a fluid low pitched thrum. This set the sound of his weapon apart from most in the order and reminded Kerriwarr much of the verdant sea of tree canopies that were his home. Once he finished constructing his weapon, he used the carving tools given to him by his father and carved his family’s crest into the wood of the handle, along with other ornate patterns, until the handle of the saber itself was covered in patterns of winding branches and blossoming flowers. The saber was a work of art.

Returning to Coruscant, Kerriwarr waited a full month before his final initiation trial. He was tasked with locating a group of criminals that had been running illegal artifacts and drugs through Coruscant space. He tracked them to a loading dock in the lower levels and confronted them. A portion of the crew sealed themselves in the ship as he walked forward in his cloak. Kerriwarr’s massive size was intimidating enough for them to think twice before trying to get rid of him. After a quick moment of conflict in which Kerriwarr was forced to break the arm of one of the men, the smugglers stood down. The leader of the gang agreed to meet with Kerriwarr, and they spent a great deal of time arguing to get the criminals to stand down. The altercation ended tensely, with the gang leader drawing on Kerriwarr, but after a quick force push, the blaster-less gang leader agreed to stand down. The Republic authorities immediately arrested them, and Kerriwarr’s initiate trials were complete.
PadawanAs a padawan, Kerriwarr decided to participate in the Apprentice Tournament. His natural athleticism combined with his massive size made him a promising candidate for many Guardians within the Order. He placed within the top twenty of his class in sparring and within the top five in his Force examination. He felt his skills would be best suited in the role of Sentinel. He was soon selected by a Selkath sentinel by the name of Jhusa. Jhusa was particularly intrigued by the fact that Kerriwarr never seemed to back down from a challenge, as he had been defeated by Cen Dral multiple times in the sparring tournament, but nevertheless carried on. Cen Dral had proven to be a promising duelist. He had scored top in the tournament and had been selected by a veteran Guardian. They both met the night of their selections, bidding one another goodbye for the time being, as their times together would quickly come to a close.

Jhusa taught Kerriwarr much in the ways of the Force. He first taught Kerriwarr telepathy, so that the Wookie would no longer need to speak aloud in order to communicate, relieving others of having to learn Shyriiwook. He perfected that, along with many other force abilities through his years as Jhusa’s student. Jhusa also taught him lightsaber combat, perfecting his form of Niman to near perfection. Kerriwarr did not stop there, however. He began to specialize his form of Niman, hybridizing it with heavy elements of Soresu, which he had taught himself. By the end of his martial training, Kerriwarr’s defensive capabilities using the combination of Niman and Soresu in conjunction with the use of his saberstaff made him nearly untouchable to both blasterfire and opposing duelists.

In addition to these teachings, Kerriwarr served under his master in many Sentinel missions around the galaxy. He helped in humanitarian and diplomatic missions throughout the vast majority of his time as a padawan. His immense size made him a great labourer in restorative missions and it also provided him with an inherent and unintentional intimidation factor when it came to diplomatic efforts.

After reaching the age of twenty-two, Kerriwarr had well amassed the skills and maturity needed to attempt his trials of Knighthood. Jhusa felt the same, and so his trials began, as well as his next step into the Jedi Order.

His first trial, the trial of skill, involved him being placed in the center of a dueling chamber, where he was attacked from all directions from both blaster fire and groups of knights for over two consecutive hours. Kerriwarr’s speed and proficiency with defensive forms, combined with his use of the double-bladed lightsaber, enabled him to succeed. Though not without difficulty. He nearly passed out upon completion of the trial and spent three days recovering before undergoing his next trial of Knighthood.

His second trial, the trial of courage, came when he was tasked with the capture and trial of a prominent leader within the Migrant Merchants Guild. After three days of tracking leads, Kerriwarr captured the Rodian outside of a small cantina in the lower levels. Taking him to a secure room inside the Jedi temple, he was observed through surveillance technology as he cracked away at the Rodian. He did not say a single word, but rather, he used telepathy to speak to the Rodian. From an external view, all that appeared to be happening was the Rodian responding aloud to nonexistent questions and the massive Wookie sitting motionless across from him. It took no more than an hour for the Rodian to break. He passed his second trial, leaving only one before he would be Knighted.

Lastly came his trial of Insight. He was given a rather traditional trial. He was sent to the Trial Chamber, which he found laid awry with countless stones of various shapes and sizes. His master’s voice rang through the chamber, her voice instructing him to locate the singular grain of sand among the stones. Kerriwarr was immensely frustrated by this, walking amongst the stones for hours and nearly succumbing to the violent temper inherent among the Wookiee people. After this breaking point, Kerriwarr was finally able to calm himself and walked to the center of the chamber. He settled into a meditative position, breathing deeply and with focus. After another two long hours of meditation, a singular grain of sand lifted from inside the chamber and floated into the small cup situated next to Kerriwarr.

He was shortly afterward informed that he had been accepted into the Jedi Order as a Knight, and was dubbed so by the council.
KnightKerriwarr, being elected to the position of Knight, dove into his studies. He had chosen the path of Consular, unlike his master. For the next hundred years, Kerriwarr would devote himself almost entirely to his studies, pursuing mastery and unity in the Force. He kept great focus throughout the proceeding century, though his learning style proved to set him apart from the other sages within the temple archives. When Kerriwarr was learning and mastering the ability of Tutaminis, for example, he instructed one of the Republic guards to fire at him until Kerriwarr had mastered the ability.

His antics were commonplace throughout the temple, much to the disdain of the wizened masters who also studied within the archives.

It was during this time in his life that Kerriwarr would attend the funeral of his lifelong best friend, Cen Dral. He had lived a long, happy life, dying at just over a hundred years old. Throughout his time, Cen Dral had become one of the Order’s renowned duelists, even being given the rank of Battlemaster within the Order. As a gift of parting, Cen Dral would give to Kerriwarr his manual of lightsaber forms. Written documentation of his life’s work and development of blade techniques.

Also during this time, his master, Jhusa, would depart from the world, bestowing upon him her lightsaber, which Kerriwarr would keep as his own, preserving it within his quarters in a wooden box, specially engraved with a depiction of the esteemed master. Kerriwarr would mourn their loss privately and as a Jedi should. He moved on quickly, dedicating himself to their memory.

For the next hundred years, Kerriwarr would continue in his duties as a Knight. Serving on diplomatic and peacekeeping missions whenever needed and continuing his studies whenever possible.

Now well over a hundred years of age, Kerriwarr was an accomplished knight of the Order with over a century of experience under his belt. As such, the high council encouraged him heavily to take on an apprentice. Obeying their request, Kerriwarr decided to take in an apprentice, a young Cerean named Li-kaad Indu

This happened to coincide with the beginning of the Clone Wars. While not participating at the beginning of the battle, Kerriwarr served as a general in the first battle of Geonosis. Shortly after the initial conflict, Kerriwarr was promoted to the position of Master within the Order and made a Jedi General of the 527th Legion.
MasterThrough the Clone Wars, Kerriwarr would serve as a Jedi General. His troopers would serve him faithfully throughout the course of the war, becoming closely bonded with him and his padawan. Their service would extend across the width and breadth of the galaxy, serving in a plethora of battles across many worlds, including a brief stint on the world of Felucia, where Li-Kaad Indu would fall in the heat of battle.

Kerriwarr felt horrible about the loss of his padawan. The situation was unavoidable, and Kerriwarr knew that, but he had a very hard time consoling himself that it wasn’t his fault. Going forward, he was adamant that he did not want to take any further padawans.

Throughout the remainder of the war, Kerriwarr fought with a vengeance, being known as a determined and wise commander, his casualty numbers were some of the lowest, despite his Legion being in some of the more violent conflicts throughout the war.

The infamous “Order 66” came about during a land raid on the planet of Kashyyyk, on the opposite side of the planet from Master Yoda. The two of them, after performing their respective escapes from their clones, joined up in the orbit of the planet, where they had a short discussion. Yoda planned to go into hiding and encouraged Kerriwarr to do the same.

Kerriwarr chose to make residence in the frigid world of Orto Plutonia. He quickly became friends with the native Talz and settled there, waiting out for the eventual destruction of the Galactic Empire.

During his time on Orto Plutonia, Kerriwarr would document all that he knew of the Jedi way and the Force into the remaining pages of the journal documented by his old friend, Cen Dral. It was his hope that if he perished in the world that someone, someday, would recover the manual and be able to continue the Jedi Order. Kerriwarr kept up in his training, often sparring with the native Talz and practicing his Force techniques amidst the frozen landscape.

After two years of successful life on the planet, Kerriwarr was injured by a ruptured coolant tank in his ship that had been damaged by the fluctuating temperatures on the planet's surface. It was only a short period of time before he fell unconscious within the hull of his ship, coolant and ice creeping in as his ship's systems fell into decline, leaving the Wookiee to the frozen wastes of Orto Plutonia and placing him in the care of time itself...
