'Large fleet movement' reported in Quelii sector, as rumours of former Empress' arrest mount.

Early indications suggest that a 'sizable' fleet movement has been reported moving from Imperial Space to the Quelii sector in the Outer Rim Territories.

Hyperlane Buoys have detected unusual activity, with heightened traffic showing transponder codes from numerous Imperial warships being 'bounced' off the buoys.

Analysts here at the Herald say this is 'generally due to large-scale deployment of vessels. As the ships move into and out of hyperspace, they send their transponders to nearby buoys to aid in monitoring traffic'.

Our analysts describe the traffic volume as 'unusual' and 'normally only seen ahead of major conflict'.

However, the Herald editorial board is keen to stress that no such conflict is expected between major galactic powers, with the recent peace deals being formalised at a galactic senate session.

Speaking to the paper today, one military analyst suggested the move could be 'a response to recent calls for the detention of the former Sith Empress', nothing that the Qeulii sector contains the planet of Dathomir.

An Imperial source confirmed to us, during the Senate debate on the proposed arrest of the former Sith Empress, that Dathomir was the 'highest priority location for any proposed search for the Empress'.

Whilst Imperial sources have not commented on the rumoured fleet movements, nor have Consortium or broader Senate sources, the Herald will be watching this latest development with interest.

Editors Note: The Herald wants to confirm that we have no reporters on Dathomir, so that information will be spotty.

Comment - Is the Senate acting?

It'll come as a shock to most, but the Senate could be doing something.

And the Empire could be the ones leading it.

No, you're not drunk - keep reading.

Reports obtained by the Herald seem to show a massive fleet moving from the Empire to the system Dathomir can be found in.

Just days after the Senate agreed to put together a force to detain the former Sith Empress.

Now, whilst Darth Andruil rocked it in a massive palace back in her despot days, rumours are that these days she prefers to slum it in a witch's coven.

So that seems like the obvious reason for the fleet movements.

Not another war with the Consortium or what's left of the Republic.

But rather a big arrest job.

Because when you need to arrest a Sith Lord, bringing a warrant and asking them to 'come quietly just ain't gunna hack it.

OOC - If anyone can find a way to make the logo for the Herald (sig) look cooler, please let me know. Also the link for the Dathomir thread is here.
