Generic metals, ceramicsWEAPON TYPE
Designed in ancient times by the Jedi Order, the Lightsaber Rifle is a very rare weapon that uses lightsabers themselves as a source of ammunition, allowing the rifle to fire beams of energy of the same color as the kyber crystal inside. These beams of energy are very powerful, and can easily pierce through armor, completely negating it. Only phrik, cortosis-weave, and other lightsaber resistant materials can withstand a strike before giving out.
The lightsaber rifle's beam although can be blocked by another lightsaber, it can't be deflected, although upon contact with a blocking lightsaber it was cause significant recoil on the blocker's end enough to knock the defender off balance. This rifle has a charge up rate of two (2) seconds after pulling the trigger then the weapon will fire and then a three (3) second cooldown period between shots.
One lightsaber hilt is good for five shots for the rifle. Once those five shots are used up, the lightsaber powersource is completely melted and the rifle would be leaving lots of smoke in it's wake.
The lightsaber weapon does have one lesser-known use: being able to self destruct. After activating the self-destruct, the lightsaber rifle after four seconds would explode. The explosion would be on par in power with a thermal detonator with a radius of six *(6) meters.
Similar to regular lightsabers, these lightsaber rifles's construction are personalized to their creator and although they may look similar, two different lightsaber rifles made by different people will not look exactly the same. The Jedi Order tended to frown upon these weapons, as they destroy the kyber crystal inside the inserted lightsaber that they would have attuned and bonded with.
Legal where blasters are allowed.
These weapons are canon, and so this write-up is intended to add these weapons to our roleplay so that others can use them. This write-up replicates the properties as described by the wiki as closely as possible while still remaining balanced for use on SWRP and addition to a slight expansion on their bare-bones lore.
