Lifeline Series Body Armor

The Lifeline Series, produced by the Czerka Corporation, was originally marketed as an affordable entry level body armor for low-to-medium risk personnel, such as standard patrol officers on planetary police forces, commercial security, and executive protection professionals who did not have a day to day need for heavier, more cumbersome armor. It's appealing price point, reliability, and simple design made it an attractive option for governments and corporations on a budget looking to outfit the maximum number of personnel at minimal cost. The armors first major breakthrough came when Czerka was awarded a contract to supply the vests to the Corellian Security Forces (CorSec). Long regarded as one of the Galaxies premier law enforcement agencies, many other departments followed suit in adopting the lightweight vest as a standard issue item. The resultant surge in popularity saw the vest pressed into service among various local law agencies, bulk freight and cruise line security officers, and numerous other paramilitary organizations. It wasn't long before the Lifeline series became a popular item for business executives, bounty hunters, smugglers, and other private citizens of varying degrees of upstandingness.

The base model is a simple armorweave vest with integrated pockets, front and back, for the insertion of replaceable plastoid plates, providing limited protection against most common blaster weapons and vibroblade attacks directed at the wearers torso. It's slick profile is designed to be worn either under the wearers standard uniform (as pictured on the cross section of an Antarian police officer, below) or over the uniform with other issued duty gear as a visible deterrent to engage the wearer (worn by two Brentaal Port Security Officers, right). Capitalizing on its widespread popularity, Czerka now offers a bewildering array of variants, such as vests designed to better accommodate different alien anatomies, different closure and donning methods, alternate materials such as a heavier and more durable durasteel version, etc. For it's more discerning customers the company offers a luxury line which accommodates custom orders utilizing exotic materials, such as Nerf and Bantha hide covers, custom patterns, etc. Finally, many companies produce aftermarket attachments such as blaster pack carriers, integrated medical pouches, combat webbing, identity and marker panels, and much more.

Because Frank erased his generitech, and because it would have needed to be updated to the new rules anyway

A1-9

Blaster Pistol

Description:
One of the smallest and lightest full sized blaster pistols in BlasTechs current commercial line up, the no-frills A1-9 is an otherwise run-of-the-mill offering that has managed to maintain a reputation of unfaltering reliability. Specifically designed for humanoids slight in stature, females, and any other creature with small hands. While the A1-9 features a slimline grip and short trigger pull to accommodate its target consumer, it remains suitable for use by all but those with the largest hands (or armored gloves). To make up for its reduced size limiting available heat venting space, the weapons frame and barrel shroud are constructed of thin stamped durasteel instead of more common duraplast or plastoid components used in many non-military designs. This durasteel construction allows the weapon to withstand and vent heat efficiently despite its compact size, and adds enough weight to counterbalance the light recoil smaller users may experience. It also gives the weapon impressive durability- where duraplast cracks and becomes unsafe, the A1-9's durasteel body can survive a Wookies weekend bender worth of dents and and scrapes (many users insist this simply "adds character"), and it's simple internal mechanics are resistant to all manner of sand, mud, water, and other physical contaminants. While some deride it as a gun for princesses and ewoks who don't want or don't know how to take proper care their weapons, the blaster has quite a devoted following. The weapon features power ratings, range, and capacity competitive with other weapons in its class, comes stock with low profile iron sights, a manual safety lever, and features a stun setting for users with an aversion to lethal force. A special stun-only model is marketed and available on many worlds and in sectors which heavily restrict blaster ownership and usage. The weapon is widespread on the aftermarket-modder scene, with many companies producing interchangeable grips, colorful safety levers, and custom heat-resistant paint jobs. It is an affordable and easily procured weapon, popular for home defense, first time blaster buyers, and daily life out on the moisture farm.

Intent: A totally unremarkable blaster pistol. The Glock 19 of SPAAAAAACE. Generitech.
