New Cov, a planet covered by what some considered the most dangerous jungles in the entire Galaxy. It was so terrible that the people were forced to live in domed cities to escape from the lethal fauna and flora that shared the world with them. Any damage at the transparisteel structures that formed these domes and a menagerie of abominations would walk through the streets.
And it was exactly what had happened.
A powerful earthquake had damaged the structures of the dome of a city in New Cov’s Southern Hemisphere, allowing the fauna of the planet to run through the streets causing havoc. Due to the intensity of the tremor, the destruction caused by it was so severe that the government asked the Jedi to help. Several Knights and Padawans were helping in controlling the dangerous animals and saving people, while the local authorities dealt with the reconstruction of the dome.
Under the supervision of T-A78, a T-Series protocol droid, Aranmir and another Padawan were traveling in a transport from the capital toward the city. Unfortunately, the local flying fauna decided to say hello too close for the Tiefling’s taste. The result: it collided against the vessel and they were forced to make an emergency landing in the middle of the mortal forests, kilometers away from the nearest settlement. The best part of it all was that there was no signal to call for help.
“Oh, Gosh! Oh, Gosh! We are doomed!” T-A78 said for the millionth time, from its place at Aranmir’s belt. The Tiefling was starting to hate that type of protocol droid. “You two are going to be devoured and I’ll be left here alone to rust! I don’t want to end this way. Can’t you make the communication work?”
“I’m trying!” Aranmir screamed, while trying to get some signal. When this new attempt ended in failure, the Padawan hit his fist against the console. New Cov’s jungle was so dense that nothing seemed to be able to pass through it. His reaction made the droid panic some more. Groaning, the Tiefling hoped that his fellow Jedi would be luckier than him in seeing the extension of the damage in the ship.
