Introduction

Gemini sat aboard his ship as he stared out into the darkened unknown from behind his mind's eye. It had been weeks since he and Param had parted ways, and he stood upon the precipice of a new dawn within his life. Bittersweet as it was, it was necessity for his growth. She had departed enough knowledge to him that he would be able to forge ahead without her, and yet, her company was a missed reliance. And in his confines, silence was maddening.

He headed toward an disclosed location she had imparted upon him, the memory of her stern silvered gaze still plaguing his mind as she sent him on his way, a planet with Kyber not controlled by any faction and the wisdom to complete his lightsaber. And while he was there, he could hone and finish the Echani training she had shown him. He would need it if he was to truly thrive as she had promised so long ago on Trodai.

Sitting alone in the cage he had fashioned aboard his ship, he glanced down at the chains he had placed upon himself so that Eshan would never happen again, and in the moment, he felt the call of the Seedling. In the hours that followed, the Seedling of Raze would rage effortly, but to no avail until the mind of Gemini would return and he would sit in his solace once again, only this time above the world in which he had sought out, a lifeless world where a small cave of Kyber was rumored to reside, rumored by what contacts she still held at her disposal. It could be a trap for all intents and purposes given what concluded on Trodai, but with the Seed of Raze upon his soul, it would be suicide.

Setting down amongst the rolling planes and labyrinthine canyons of the deserted world, Gemini would unshackle himself and prepare to step out upon its forgotten soil. But before he would rebuild his mother's lightsaber and attain the kyber needed to, he would spend countless days gathering the necessities needed to reforge the finished product and hone his form within what he knew of the Echani Arts. This was Param's payment for Gemini to never again step foot upon Eshan's soil, a request he would hold close to his vest out of respect. And each time he would feel the Seed's call, he would lock himself away, a wild animal of grotesquely plagues.

It had been a few weeks since Gemini came to this uninhibited world to finish what was started on Eshan and before, on Troiken. But now he was Masterless and on his own, forsaken unto the Seed of Raze as he tried to climb his way to power. Param hadn't just succeeded in creating a creature of the Sith, but also granted ambition and skill, a deadly combination when laid in the hands of the Seedling. And yet, in his despair of losing Param's trust and endearment, he locked himself away each night as the moon began to rise for the sake and safety of himself and the life that did thrive upon this planet.

By now, he had become an empty shell of his former self, growing content in his path of self control. He had all but forsaken his endeavor to truly gain control. As dawn peaked over the mesa, Gemini's eyes opened and he felt the warmth of the rising suns. He didn't even bother to unshackle himself, as he sat there in the darkness and gazed solemnly at the lightsaber that laid in pieces at his feet. He questioned the point. And yet, in this, he also found amusement.

"Weak, are we..." He spoke to himself from behind a chuckle. "Thel knew it. Karys knew it. Even Param knew it, you fool. This is why they abandoned us just as the others did. They knew it. They could see it. But we couldn't. Pathetic."

Yes. Pathetic indeed. Or at least, Gemini felt it so. How could they not see? Everyone else did. Dioscuri couldn't even withstand Param's attacks. A whelp is what they were. Gemini chuckled again. "A whelp indeed."

Unlocking one wrist, Gemini grabbed the bottle from where it laid the night before and took a guzzle from its nearly empty cask and slung it aside, letting the glass shatter and its liquid pour. It was time to train in his fruitless endeavor, but at least it passed the time. Unshackled, he rose and ventured outside, leaving the ship in a minor disrepair. His mind was as broken as his demeanor, and yet, he still found the strength to somehow push forward. As the sun hit his skin, he hissed and let his flames of anger engulf his form.

Outside, Gemini stood amidst an array of targets, scorched and barely operational, components he had taken from various models he found from previous scoutings and a few from his own ship. It wasn't like he planned on ever leaving. So a few bits and pieces here and there wouldn't have mattered as much. The shape of the ship, outside the disarray of clothing, food, and liquor bottles, spoke of a different aspect, as none of the vital portions of the ship had truly been touched. It was an aspect that oddly countered his own train of thoughts as he shifted into his forms, a combination of the Echani Arts mixed in with the art of Pyromancy that he had began to focus upon. Even the crusted, peeling, and sooted skin of his hands and feet told the tale of a man who, despite all appearances, had not given up entirely. He actually reveled in his pain and suffering like a leech turned on it's self.

Just as the flaming explosions began to resound amidst his fluctuations of forms, another explosion overcame his own and his gaze turned toward the sky as a ship hurled through the upper atmosphere before crashing into the mesa he had come to call home. As it did, sounds of approaching ships came to his rear as they inspected the crash. All Gemini could really do was look between the two. It wasn't as if their lives meant anything, or even his own if they were powerful enough. Instead, he just turned back to his studies.
