((OOC: This thread is loosely ask. If you're part of the Republic/Hutts, then the chances are it'll be a yes. This is just so we don't have every last Hutt char/Republic char at once.))

There was a flash of light, and the heavens seemed to rupture in a burst of incandescence that lit up the night sky above the planet Iktotch. Then another, and another, and yet more. As the flashes subsided they left behind them a ship, each one of them, a ship of the Hutt military. For Iktotch had drawn unfortunate attention to itself, unfortunate attention that would see them punished. It was not an act of obstinacy by their leaders, nor an act of aggression which provoked the attack; they were not even a member of the Galactic Republic, who the Hutts were fighting against. No; the Hutts were instead attacking this for the simple reason that Iktotch was a key staple in the Corellian trade spine, a trade spine which ensured that a healthy supply of goods would be getting through to the Republic, so that they could ensure their survival and prosperity at the expense of such organisations as the Hutt Empire. That would end now. That would end soon. That would end today. There would be no negotiations, no kindness, no favours, no mercy.

Just bloodshed and punishment.

As the ships began to wheel into orbit above the planet below, they seemed almost to be preparing a gateway for two more ships, to come through and begin the attack. One such ship, and the one to burst through in the next hyperspace rupture, was the flagship of the Hutt fleet. As the hulking behemoth Abolition emerged above Iktotch, Venator Furtificus, Supreme Commander of the Military Forces of the Hutt Empire looked up from his desk, in full armour. "Situation report!" He barked across to his Senior Officer.
The man looked up, his headphones over both ears.
"All ships present and correct, sir! No losses, although the Gaeta reports minor engine difficulties."
Furtificus nodded, looking at the radar above the command table both his hands were spread over, as the small defence force of Iktotch began to marshal itself. They were like pathetic ants, ready to be crushed beneath the mighty booted foot of the Hutt military. Both Furtificus' forces and the Taung were here, the flagship of whom, bearing the Mandalore, would emerge next.

To assist with the destruction.

All in all, an entire fleet was under Furtificus' command, with another half a fleet positioned some distance away but able to come if called; they, however, would not be needed to crush the small defence of Iktotch. That made, in total, one hundred and forty two ships, ultimately, at Venator's disposal. Ninety five for the Iktotch mission. "Get me a line to the Mandalore."
Venator barked at his Senior Officer, and the man hit a few keys.
"Done, sir!"
"Mandalore," Venator picked up the communications system, and spoke into it. "Our forces are strong, and Iktotch will take short time indeed. From there we can move onto the second part, the blocking part. I'll issue the ultimatum now." Venator's Senior Officer was a step ahead of him.
"Line established with the Iktotch government, sir! Their communications have also been jammed!" Venator nodded.
"Government of Iktotch, this is Venator Furtificus, Supreme Commander of the military forces of the Hutt Empire. This is a non-negotiable issue; you will surrender and turn over all military barracks and government buildings to the Hutt Empire, and prepare for occupation."

"Or we will begin killing."

"Move the ship's into position to jettison the Basilisk's, I want to drop right onto these inbred humans that populate this pathetic world"

Mandalore moved his ship's forward over the drop zone that would shot down the rather basic and primitive war droids downwards towards the planet, the Admiral in his pomp and arrogance may seek to give these beings a chance of complete surrender but Mandalore was in no mood for waiting, the battle lust was close now and he would not let his warriors walk away from a fight, as soon as they made contact with the Hutt's admiral Mandalore would drop hell on them and burn there buildings from beneath them, he would leave one alive and bring about a fury that this world or the galaxy had never witnessed.

((OOC: Was going to post in the morning, but might as well now. Going to be busy today.))

CDR-382, Executor and Overseer of the Hutt Army arrived in his own ship, smaller then the Abolition was, but size meant nothing unless it had it's defensives. 382's ship was heavily armed, along with several vital spots reinforced with smaller turrets around them. When he was informed about this mission, he knew that it was finally time to leave that rotten, rancid world the Hutts called home and return to the battlefront.

Decked in his Alsakan armor and helm, his blaster pistol and sword on his belt, 382 watched as his, Venator and The Mandalore's ships approached the planet in massive numbers. Part of 382 was just hoping that the people on the planet below would resist, just so he and the others could have the pleasure of wiping their existence off the galaxy.

"Overseer CDR-382, standing by on The Impurity."

382 said over the Hutt comm network. He never was one for naming ships and weapons names, however, he made a slight exception for this one.

The ruthless Feeorin captain of the Hutt Empire sat on a chair in the controlroom of a ship he was given command of. His arms were crossed and he smirked. Finally some action. Finally he could go into war again, after all the waiting.

He did not wear a typical armor or anything that would suit a captain, but instead a brown sleeveless shirt, covered by a dark blue leather jacket. He wore black pants and black leather boots, and he carried with him a sharp sword he kept in a sheath. He also kept a slugthrower pistol in the holster on his right leg, and a blaster repeater rifle was leaning against the wall, waiting to be picked up by the captain, and to be used on the battlefield.

"Contact the Grandmarshall." He ordered a pilot of his ship. Oh, how he loved shouting out orders.

When the contact was made he said through the communications system: "Captain Dualla here. Me and my man are ready, waiting for orders."

Danmes Herod, Hutt Hunter, was heading to the bridge. While his typical job was to assassinate, dismember, and kill particular people, High Command had figured this battle needed more regular soldiers.

Danmes had on him his two blaster pistols, a small knife, and enough ammo to blow up a small office building. Not really, but he was armed to the teeth. He approached the door to the bridge and presented his ID, and gained access in seconds. Danmes noticed that Captain Duella was calling in, and decided to let him wait till he reported in.

''Sir. That fleet'll destroy us.'' Said the obs officer of Cerberus, one of the orbital emplacements around the planet.

''Rouse the PDF fleet.''

''Are you sure, sir? They are little more than the jumped up sons of aristocrats wanting to play soldier to please daddy.''

''Do not question me. Rouse them for defence. We need to evac citizens. Send a message to republic HQ. Tell them to rouse a fleet for the recapture of Iktotch.''

''Transmissions are jammed, sir.''

''Then prep the evac ships, and hope these creatures have the decency to not harm civilian noncombatants.''

Today Xero Han had a different job today in the battle that took place above Iktotch. He was going to play the role of a normal soldier today, even tho he was a hunter, but well gladely Tahn was good at anything that involved killing, so his job this time seemed normal, and easy to him.

After preparing his blaster, Tahn headed to the ship's bridge, and waited for further orders to be given out.

"Sir, they're beginning to rouse a defence!"
Venator began to laugh, before allowing himself into full laughter before his crew. They were attempting resistance! When the important parts of their planet began to fall, when their ships were decimated, when their transmissions rebounded against the jamming the Hutts had put down on the planet, then they would surrender. Then they would know defeat. Ironically, the small defence force was strong in numbers. However, having never had conflict on their small word, they were untrained, poor, with the fleet being ramshackle and not particularly strong. In contrast, the Hutt military would crush them as they had always intended to do. Mandalore had launched his Basilisk War Droids; even now, the Taung would be causing bloodshed through the streets of the cities as they rampaged around, killing at random. Very soon, the Iktotch would have no choice; no one was stupid enough to let their entire world burn, especially not when they could benefit from allowing the Hutts to merely control it.

"Launch alert fighters."

Venator barked, the Senior Officer nodding and relaying his orders to the rest of the ships in the fleet. On Venator's tactical display, the red dots symbolising numerous fighters poured from the sides of their ships, swarming down to engage the fighters that were not ready, were not well practised in, were not well equipped and were just all round inferior. "The fleet will spread out around the planet; anything attempting to escape will be blocked off. They will be slow, and they won't be able to jump to lightspeed with our fleet blocking the way. They will presumably attempt to evacuate civilians on cruisers. The Republic always does. If they do so..." Venator smiled, wolfishly. "Make sure the ships are destroyed." The Senior Officer nodded; he knew better than to question Venator's orders. Instead, he relayed them to the rest of those in the fleet. Venator turned back to his tactical display, and frowned. The planetary defences were not particularly strong, however... was that an orbital cannon? Yes... yes it was. That was interesting. Did they know how to use it?

"Sir, they're attempting to send a message to the Republic."

Venator frowned, although not at the news; he was distracted.
"We blocked it, sir." The Officer added. Venator nodded, preoccupied.
"There's an orbital cannon, there." Quite frankly, Venator was surprised they could have afforded it. Nonetheless, they had not been expecting them; the cannon would need time to warm up, the operators time to get ready and begin using it. Before then, however, it would have been put out of operation. "Have the ships in our area open fire upon the orbital cannon. Send the Resurrect above it to bomb it, as well. That will have it out of commission very, very quickly." The Senior Officer nodded.
"Sir, the Tempest is requesting orders."
"Tell them and the others in the fleet that, when not engaged with the defences of the planet, they will each pick out a target to destroy that is not of worth to us; a government building, perhaps, a residential block of civilians. Tell them to bomb it on my mark. Make sure not to hit areas where Basilisk's have landed." The Officer nodded, and relayed the orders. The firing upon the orbital cannon began, as the screech of blasts from the ships outside could be heard.

And then the bombs began to fall.

The wailing siren through the halls of the Abolition gave clear insight into the situation, the planet was making things difficult.

Korun walked quickly into the bridge where Venator stood, many officers around him all doing their own part to ensure victory for the Hutt fleet.

As Korun walked down the small flight of stairs to Venators side the senior officer quickly stood to attention before being releived as Korun took his place as the XO of the Hutt military's Flagship. Quickly, Korun got himself up to date with the situation, fighters had been launched and the bombing of planitary defences had commenced, it also seemed the Taung had begun an attack with battle droids.

Korun turned to Venator and stood firm, awaiting his command.

"Well, ye heard the orders, boys! Let's bomb 'em." Captain Prolem Dualla said to some of his men on the bridge of his ship. The captain pointed out an area where a church and some homes were, and his ship dropped its bombs on it.

A rain of bombs fell upon the roofs, and dozens of innocent people were killed during the bombardment. It was terrible, and down below people started to panic, and scream. All the captain did was laugh. Laughing because he was killing off defenseless people. He did not think of it as a victory though, just some sport to warm up.

"Captain Dualla, where would you like me to be at the moment?" Danmes asked politely. However unsettling Dualla's laughter at all the killing was, no one could see it in Danmes' eyes.

Prolem looked up when he heard a voice behind him.

"Danmes, right?" He said. "I want you to stand by. When I get permission, I want to make a landing to start some ground-fighting down there."

After Prolem explained that he turned back to his pilots and said: "Get me into contact with the Grandmarshall, now."

When the contact was made Prolem asked: "Grandmarshall? This is Captain Prolem Dualla. Asking permission for a landing, sir."

Venator nodded to his XO as he arrived, the nod arrived with a short greeting of "Agathon." The man was trustworthy, loyal, a good man to have by his side during a battle. The former Senior Officer, merely standing in for Agathon, moved back to his former position of manning the turrets, heading aft.

The turrets, after all, were important during this battle.

The Abolition was positioned slightly back from the front line, however was not shirking combat. Despite the fact that the battle could barely be described as combat. Vastly outclassed and out manned, it was almost pitiful watching the planetary defence trying to defend.

As Prolem came on the line, Venator nodded to his XO; he'd take this one himself.

"Permission granted. Give them hell, but make sure not to permanently damage anything that would be useful to us either during the occupation or to take back as plunder to Nal Hutta."

Venator turned to his XO.

"Deal with any other landing requests. If we have a good enough force to heavily outnumber and crush them in orbit, and if you deem it good military wise, allow the landings."

"You can count on me, Grandmarshall." Prolem said and he turned towards his men that were around him.

"Alright, gents. Orders. We're going down there, kill everyone on sight, but make sure you guys don't damage things that can be of use to us. As for homes of people and churches, burn them! Innocent people, shoot them! Let's give them hell, as the Grandmarshall perfectly worded."

The Feeorin captain got on his feet and after the orders were made known to every single soldier onboard his ship he turned his gaze towards Danmes.

"You will come with me, along with the other soldiers. Let's kill, gents."

Some moments later they were dropped off in the city, and the soldiers under Captain Dualla's command opened fire on everyone who tried to get away. Prolem Dualla himself fired too.

"Fire at will, gents!" He shouted as he shot down a man who was trying to get away. This is what the Feeorin warrior lived for. Command and bloodshed.

Finally, it seemed that Xero was going to get some actions. Yeah as a recruite soldier Xero was going to to land with captain Prolem to slay down the citizens, and destory their houses.

The ship finally landed, but Xero did not wait to examine the place around him, yeah he simply started aiming at everyone he saw. Probably shooting men, women, and children in the process.

((OOC: Prolem's a Captain, not a General.))

"Have further ships land at the specified point. Make sure they seize and destroy government buildings and buildings that aren't that important to us," Venator addressed his XO. "But make sure they hear this same message that will be sent to Captain Dualla." Venator picked up the communications phone to those across the ships, as he saw three more ships land and send troops across the surface.

"This is Field Marshall Furtificus."

The commanding tone, even now, would be cutting across the bridges of numerous ships, and Venator got a tingle of satisfaction from that knowledge. As much as the order galled him, a quick success, not a feel good one, was what was needed here.

"Those who have landed, and those who will land, I do not want mass carnage; these people could still be of use to us. They are not of the Republic, therefore we are not obliged to punish them. Those who oppose us, the soldiers and the government, kill them. For now, I want the women, children and men who do not rise against us gathered into groups."

Venator smiled.

"We need them to barter. Surround them with armed gunmen. Make sure they hear their government's response. But make sure we play them an extra line or two in which the government confesses how little they care for their people. If the government are uncooperative, kill the captives. Captain Dualla, make sure your men follow those procedures. Inform me when that's done."

"And we'll send the final demand."

"Yes sir." Danmes followed him down, and when they landed, Danmes entered his Forte.

He broke open a door and was quickly surrounded by guys with guns.

"Stupid HUTT!" Was the only thing Danmes heard, then it was silent for a little. He shot everyone in the room within a few seconds and killed them.

Xero left the innocents, and started to shoot the remaining soldier accoring to the grandmarshel's orders, and of course he was taking cover behind one of the many houses in the city. He did not want to die of course, and well gladely leaving the women, and children alive was not going to hurt, since they will be tortured till death later anyway.

OOC: I wish Prolem was a general after all. Storm, can Prolem be a general? XD Just kidding.

IC:

Prolem received the message and began shouting out orders to his men: "Quit fire! The grandmarshall wishes the innocent to live. Let's kill some soldiers instead, for they will be able to offer some resistance. However, they won't be able to defeat us because we are the best! We are Krayt Dragons and Krayt Dragons never give down!"

The soldiers under Prolem Dualla's command all began to shout and cheer and then followed their captain further onto the battlefield. Prolem always seemed to be able to feed his men with the lust for combat and the necessary adrenaline to fight. That was why his men were so good, they were willing to bleed for Prolem, even to follow him into certain death if necessary.

"Find cover behind that rubble!" Prolem shouted and he and his men all sat down behind rubble that covered one side of the road, probably the remains of some destroyed houses. It provided perfect cover.

"Sir." One of the soldiers said.

"Yes?"

"Danmes is missing."

"What? He is? Where'd he go?" Prolem sounded surprised.

"Into some building, that's where two other soldiers saw him."

"Alright." Prolem said. "Get him over here, now!"

Danmes had finished killing off the armed peoples when a runner came up to him.

"Danmes, Prolem wants you now." Danmes sighed and followed the runner back.

"Captain Prolem, I understand you wanted me." Danmes was pretty sure something was going to happen.
