STRENGTH: Malax is stronger than an average male human, though his strength is nothing extremely special. He is able to rely on his own strength and can pull his own weight as well as those of others around without extraordinary effort.
DEXTERITY: The attribute which causes him the most trouble. Malax is slow, not in mind, but in physical processing. His spirit being calm at almost all moments, his body tends to do the same. His reaction to events he isn't focusing on isn't the greatest, even if they happen in his immediate environement. Although his lack of dexterity is also caused by his attitude, he still isn't a very dexterious person. He rather relies on his attention and focus of the mind to avoid situations that require dexterity, and uses a minimalist approach towards movement and evasive action.
CONSTITUTION: Malax has the average constitution of a healthy young man. However, the many surroundings he has gone through on his travels and his many experiences and confrontations have trained his health and immune system. He has no allergies, and his body is adaptable to many environements. The only downturn to his constitution is that, although he is very fit, he is not very durable. He tires and gets exhausted easier and faster than the usual jedi after physical work.
INTELLIGENCE: Though he may be a bit slow and unconcentrated at times, especially if he is not interested in the subject, if one explains something to him, Malax will fully understand it, after the second or third time at latest.
WISDOM: The attribute at which Malax truly accelerates. He is a very wise man, especially regarding his relatively young age. That he may not consequently follow his wise insight merely for the fun of it, that is a different question.
CHARISMA: Malax is a very friendly young man, and very easy and comfortable to deal with and be around with. He is also pretty good-looking. However, he can get almost insultingly provokative, even if he means no harm. And he can tend to be more of the quiet type. He isn't exactly the born leader, but does have the ability to convince and motivate people. Although not much more of a normal fair looking guy at first sight, once you get to know him he can be pretty charismatic.

FORCE POWERS:
Increased Speed: Energy equals mass times squared speed. The big problem for Malax here is that his body movement isn't very speedy. Instead of training to move and react quicker, he has rather worked on increasing his speed with the help of the force. This way, his normal movements become a lot faster.

Meditation: Not that Malax had to calm down even more than his usual state. He has the limited ability to sit down and become one with his environement, the universe, with everything existing and nonexisting. This skill opens his mind for true understanding and wisdom, and is good for his mental, spiritual and physical health. It is much more effective than normal rest, but could never fully replace rest and sleep, which is still required.

Increased Sense: When concentrating, Malax can sense the force, energy, mental attitudes, physical processes and even just dangers unfolding. This skill can be very helpful in all possible situations, but must be actively upheld. He does not have this particularly strong sense when not even thinking of being in danger, for example.

Self-control: Malax never was a big fan of telekinesis or mind manipulation. It somehow went against his belief to force a foreign object to do what it should not. Therefore, he never practiced telekinesis beyond the required extent. Instead, he focused his training in this study on resisting such of others. Malax has become a master of self-control, not only in the mind and of his body, but also in maintaining control over himself against aggressive intrusions of the force.

Energy Tunnel: Malax has the limited ability to transport (chemical, electrical or physical) energy from one location to another, and therefore build a bridge or tunnel for it with the help of the force. Helpful especially when dealing with technology or when confronted with aggression using high energy.

Minimalist Approach: Malax keeps movements to the minimum and mixes it with a balance of steady defence and patient gaining of ground.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Malax is a great personality, always overseeing the situation, always remaining calm and seemingly in control. He gets along even with his enemies, to a certain extent. However he has a few substantial weaknesses, the most important being alcohol and women. He's not exactly the best fighter either, and although he gets along fine with technology, he has no idea about it beyond the basics.

SHIP:
A small red cruiser that looks very used, dirty and old. It has seats for four people, but could carry twice as much if the space is used wisely. It's about the size of a car and must have looked like a tuned up hotrod before acquiring all its little bumps and scratches. The cruiser still runs though, and that's all that matters to Malax.

APPEARANCE:
His figure is very athletic yet slim. He doesn't really take care of his body and one can see that, but he looks pretty good nonetheless. The smell is a matter of opinion. Besides his permanent three days beard, he is quite an attraction to the other sex. His V-shaped appearance may make a wrong impression of him. Malax has learned to use his appearance to impress, to create fear or to use his charm. He knows how to put himself into what light.
He has a broad chin with a dimple in its middle, his haircut is short and simple. And he is almost always smiling. Even when confronted with the most terrible situations, he stays calm and smiles. His gestures are well mannered and he always walks upright ...when he's not drunk.

PERSONALITY:
Basically, there are two sides to Malax. The first side is Malax the Wise. Malax the patient, understanding thinker that lends everbody an ear, and has a motivating answer to everything. The young man who enjoys learning new things and likes talking and listening to the elders. The other side of him is the dirty, drinking adventurer who chases after attractive women. The growing young man who thinks of fun before duty, and can't help but tell ridiculously dry jokes in the face of dire seriousness. Not the way of the Jedi, but everybody has his dark aspects.

Malax ist the most trustworthy and reliable person, as long as a beautiful woman doesn't make him act otherwise. He often knows it's wrong, but he loves giving in to certain fun. Especially since no serious harm is ever done. He would never go beyond the boundaries while flirting and treating women, and he is a fun, nonviolent drunk. But he doesn't really get drunk a lot, he just drinks (and eats) at every occasion. Few people know the Malax that meditates in his room to become one with the universe. The most only see him fooling around and drooling behind girls.

One could think Malax has not a single worry in his life, and that is true to a certain extent. A Jedi must be able to let go, and he has no problem with that. He has lost much in his life, and has learned to let go. One could almost say he lets go too easily. He likes travelling, moving from one place to another. When asked about his travels, he remembers mostly his little adventures and the women he met. Maybe there was a special beverage. He loves meeting as many people as he can, and he loves making friends as much as it is difficult to not become friends with him.

Although he does have his serious moments, his happy go lucky ways are his biggest disadvantage, not only for him, but also for his allies. He can get himself into the deepest trouble just for the hell of it. If he died while in such hot water, it would be with his permanent smirk across his face. After all, everybody must die at some point in his life. The only thing that remains is what the others remember, your enemies, your friends. People forget what you said, what you achieve can fade, but one thing is easy to remember, even if you don't realise it: a smile.

BIOGRAPHY:
To sum it up in advance, Malax was born into a once rich and noble family. His father lost the entire family fortune, and Malax lost everything that was important to him, except for his mother. Nobody knows where his brother ended up. At the age of eleven, he found his way to the Jedi. He had to be changed all the way. His father had wanted him to become a rich and cunning businessman, using everybody to his own advantage and building the biggest fortune on the backs of others. It took until he was 21 years old that he finally understood the ways of the Jedi and could grasp the real things in life. A major contribution to which was made by his Master, Avix Draav, whose Padawan Malax became at the age of 20. Now he is an adolecent man who is worthy of the Jedi ranks.

Malax also has a big family on his mother's side, countless aunts, uncles and cousins to which he also keeps contact. He tries to take distance to his father's family, which isn't that big. However, his father will always remain his father, and Malax bears no hate towards him. The young man is glad that everything happened as it did, since it helped form the person he is today. He has never stopped searching for his brother, but he doubts his brother is willing to be found. Malax can sense that he is alive, at least.

Malax also has a son. However, it was made perfectly clear by the child's mother's side that he would never be allowed to see him. It was one of those adventures during his early Padawan years. He was 18 years old and on his first mission. He somehow managed to save a colony from alien invasion and used their gratitude until they all wanted him to leave. After he was gone, one of the local girls found out that she was pregnant. This was one of the key events that opened his eyes. Needless to say he was punished harshly, which was also an eye-opening experience.

It took a while until he became an ernest Jedi Padawan. The Jedi sensed the force in him, but he was still too busy trying to reclaim wealth and glory to his family. His education became more intense every month, until he finally proved himself worthy of the temple. Since then, five years have passed and he is one of the biggest hopes upon the Padawan. His extraordinary wisdom and charisma are normally found only among the elders. He was purposely trained less in combat, but he is trying to catch up in that field.

Malax has never stopped travelling. He loves to discover new places and people. That makes him hard to find though, since he is never in the same place for very long. Whereever he goes, he leaves a better place behind. He does try to help the people as well as he can, and spreads a good name and reputation for the Jedi. Only rarely does he leave broken hearts and raging women behind. He's still working on some leftovers of his former self.

He is very patient in becoming a Jedi Knight. He enjoys being a Padawan, and is in no rush to take more responsibility. However, as soon as the Masters think it appropriate, Malax will do what needs to be done. The Order can always rely on him to play an important role.
