Marcella's parents were pirates who raised her in the trade. They taught her the basics of survival before being arrested by authorities, leaving Marcella in an orphanage for the rest of her childhood years. She was able to enroll in university under a financial aid program, learning cyber security, and graduating with a Bachelor's degree.
She found work at a Holonet firm, but was eventually out of a job due to allegations of corruption. Unable to find work and quickly running out of money due to her debts, Marcella went into crime as a cyber thief.
She targeted large companies, stealing money and exposing scandals while claiming responsibility for them under the guise of a hacking group called the Flowers. The extent of Marcella's vigilantism caused her to be targeted by corporate hitmen. Her activities produced a Robin Hood-esque cult following, drawing the attention of the Galactic Republic. She was eventually found and taken in by the Republic intelligence service and offered a deal. For her cooperation, Marcella would be promised a clean slate and a new start for her life in a reputable business. She agreed. To dissociate from the hacking "group" she created as herself while working with the Republic, Marcella created a new organization-esque alias known as the Zerek Group.
However, her promise of a clean slate caused her to have nothing to show for herself once the Old Republic collapsed. Without so much as a resume to return to public life, Marcella enlisted in the Imperial military in order to have a career at all, becoming one of the first to join the new Imperial Consolidation Authority. As part of the Empire, Marcella adopted the handle Achlys.
Marcella has a very grounded outlook on life. She does not get along well with religious individuals because she doesn't like the idea of leaving things up to a higher power. Instead, Marcella believes in relying on herself.
Marcella does not like to talk about her past with others and will snap a nasty remark if pressed to hard. She would rather talk about the present instead.
Despite her apathy towards galactic politics, Marcella holds significant distaste for anything that she perceives as corruption or an abuse of power.
SLICING - Marcella is exceptionally good at slicing into terminals and acquiring data that she wants. Although not nearly as fast as a droid, she is better at breaking into more intricate cyber locks. She possesses a tablet that has been modified by herself in order to interface with any terminal that she could access.
PARKOUR - Marcella learned parkour as inspiration from her parents' desire for her to become self-reliant. Parkour, and the training required to become efficient at it, required her to keep in good physical shape. Although Marcella is not well trained as a combatant, she is very good at escaping.
INFILTRATION - A novice in terms of entering places she is not supposed to, but Marcella has been improving thanks to her existing skills in parkour and supplementary training supplied by Republic instructors.
ASCENSION GUN - A tool Marcella purposed from a mountain climbing store. She has no qualms with using it as a makeshift firearm.
VIBROKNIFE - A common knife good for cutting things and poking people.
