"So gentlemen, what do we know about Mr.Black? He's ruthless, cunning, deadly.... In short, our worst nightmare."​

Physical:
30 standard years, 6'0" 189lbs athletically built, chin length dark brown hair that covers the left side of his face concealing his prosthetic eye (his other eye is dark green), a thin white scar on the right side of his mouth, and usually sports a light beard (has been known to remove it for undercover jobs). Marcus's clothing normally consists of a knee length black leather coat with two integrated holsters for his twin blaster pistols on the back of the coat (he typically rolls the sleeves up). Under his trademark black coat he wears a dark grey shirt, Black pants and a pair of black boots. The defining features of his clothing are his black fedora with a dark grey studded bad around where the base of the hat meets the rim, on his right hand he sports a black fingerless glove with a light composite armored top and knuckle plates with holes meant for inserting spikes for hand to hand combat, and his necklace, a pentacle with twin cobras wrapping around the circle.

Mental: Outside of a job, Marcus is cunning, witty, polite, and most likely to deliver one liners that are completely out of context with the situation at hand. On a job, or in combat, Marcus becomes a completely different person, cold, calculating, utterly ruthless, able to handle even hopeless situations with a calmness only seen in the best military officers. Marcus also has a strong attachment to his hat, which belonged to his father, and will risk anything to get it back if for some reason it leaves his possession. This has led to some humorous (and dangerous) situations.

Kit:
Aside from his small personal-class ship the "Bloody Moon" which houses most of his private armory that spans everything from knives to RPGs, the weapons that are never seen to leave his side are "Sapphira and Galienna", his twin blaster pistols kept holstered on the back of his coat, and his long bladed knife "Cerberus", which is kept strapped to his leg. Marcus also sports a prosthetic/cybernetic eye that using time dilation appears to slow down the world around him, when combined with his natural talents for gunslinging, Marcus becomes a force to be reckoned with. The eye has a drawback
however, after fifteen seconds, it shuts down, making Marcus blind on the left side for 24 hours.

Profile:
Marcus Salem Black was born on Corellia to Salem and Morrigan Black in a small settlement whose name has been lost. Salem Black was a known smuggler-turned farmer that originally went by the name Jaken Skarrston. Morrigan Black was a former "entertainer" in one of Coruscant's seedier nightclubs. Despite the individual backgrounds of Marcus's parents, they were always quick to shower love and affection on their son.

Marcus's early years were like most of the children growing up in the settlement. Learning farming from his father (who also taught him his gunslinging skills), playing with other boys and girls his age, and exploring the vast woods that surrounded his home. All was well in those days, life was innocent and pure.

Later on in Marcus's life, his father Salem was discoverd by his former employers. Holding to a "no retirement" policy, the company sent a band of mercs to kill Salem and his family. In the process, they wiped out the entire settlement, men, women, children, infants, animals, all were slaughtered and burned. Save for Marcus, one of the older mercs had found him out in the woods with his friends. Having a sense of mercy, the merc gave him and his friends 5 thousand credits and the location of a transport depot near the settlement, and returned to his coworkers claiming to have killed Marcus. Satisfied with the man's report, they left the burned remains of the settlement and it's people. The three survivors made their way to the transport depot, and spent the next five years plotting revenge, aquiring a mass of weapons through various means, a small personal ship, and training in various forms of combat (Marcus favoring his twin pistols and hand to hand combat). Finally, after the five years had ended, they struck the main headquarters of the cooperation, killing countless workers and mercenaries before reaching the main office. Marcus used his twin pistols to shoot the C.E.O. of the company in both eyes at once. The raid was not without cost, his friends had been killed, and Marcus had lost his left eye. The fearless gunslinger mourned the loss of his friends that night, and promised to honor them throughout his life (the twin snakes on his necklace)

Vengeance sated, Marcus began a life of mercenary work, taking jobs that seemed worthy to him, and throughout this life he has made many friends and enemies, making him a well connected, respected, and feared man.
