*Marius Leoric, awaited his master, Ussej Padric Bac IV. His master was the descendant of a long and noble line of Bendu figures. It would be an honor to be trained under him. Marius looked down at his farmer's fatigues and then around the room he was in, awaiting his master to arrive.*

The Temple of Light had always been a sort of Refuge for Ussej. And today was no different. Secluded in a small area, he read. It was, yet again, a record of his Great-Grandfather's life. It seemed to him that every time he read it, he found a new lesson to learn...Problem was, he often times didn't learn that lesson. And taking a break from reading for a moment to ponder just what his father hadn't taught him that these mere books had, Ussej realized something; His newest Apprentice would be waiting on him already!

Cursing, he casually stood, the book under his arm, and set off for the Room he already knew to be the one they would train in. Bendu passed by him, some nodding, some smiling, some just not caring. Not that he cared if they recognized him anyway. Ever since his father died and knowing the stories of how all of his ancestors had died made him wonder just how long He had to live. And as depressing as it seemed to most, it made him try to live life to it's fullest...Even if that 'fullest' was full of wanting revenge and hating those outside of the Ashla Expanse.

And opening the door to the room, Ussej quickly replaced his look of thought with a slight smile so as to greet his new apprentice with a good mood rather than make him think that he was always lost in his head.

"So... You're Marius, huh?", he said at first, shutting the door as he walked further into the room. The sword on his hip glinted in the light as he stepped, sometimes being covered by the small robe he wore, sometimes showing completely.

"I think we should get started, what about you? First of all, uh... Why don't you tell me about yourself? I don't know that much afterall."

"My name is Marius Leoric. I am 16, and grew up in the mountains with my mother and father. I hunted most of my life, with my father to feed us. I loved the mountains, but knew it was my time to leave, and not continue living as my father, and his fathers before him have lived. My ancestors originated off the world of Telos IV, and brought their Echani heritage with him. I am trained in the ways of Echani melee and hand-to-hand combat."

*Marius then fell silent, waiting for his master's reply.*

((sorry for short post))

"Riiiiight...", Ussej said, listening intently to his Apprentice.

"I'll pretend I know what an Echani is and say that's a good thing. But for the mean time, My life's story isn't all that interesting, so I won't bore you with the details and intricacies of it."

Ussej sat in the floor, crossing his legs and thinking for a moment. He made a motion of his hand to tell his Apprentice to join him, and when he did so, Ussej remained quiet and in thought for a second more. When he spoke, he spoke clearly, calmly, and a bit quietly.

"Tell me... Just what does the Code of our order mean to you?"

*Marius sat on the floor and crossed his legs, which hurt because it was cut by a wound he had obtained earlier.*

"To me, the code is the law of my life. It tells me love is good, which is not like the Jedi who seem to think they are the best thing that happened to the galaxy."

Tell me about it..., rang through Ussej's mind. And he silenced it quickly so he could concentrate on the task at hand.

"The law of your life, huh? You can't live your life based on simple phrases, My friend. That's all our code is; Phrases. It's the meaning behind them that makes it so important. So, what do you, personally think the last phrase means? What is it saying to You?"

OCC: Sorry

*Marius was having a rough time answering these questions. He didn't know how to properly answer them right.*

"Honestly, I am confused by the code. Most of it is hard to comprehend."
