His lightsaber is an unusual design with the handle being four feet in length and was built around Malu’s use of deception for the sake of life. The blade is a well defined slightly wider green blade also four feet in length causing the weapon when ignited to be eight feet in length.
Designed with smooth silver metal its engraved with a flowing swirling pattern that is difficult to locate a starting or end point as the lines loop in on themselves.
The primary trigger is near the emitter like a traditional saber. Near the emitter at one end is a slightly curved extension that looks like it may be designed as a guard when in reality it allows the saber to function as a hammer, striking with that piece rather than the blade itself. Midway on the saber is an open ring wide enough for a small grip, allowing him to spin the build from that point easily. Hidden within the ring is a trigger plate that will activate or deactivate the blade as well. At the bottom of the saber hilt is a much larger ring able to fit his whole hand and arm allowing him another point to rapidly spin and readjust the blade and like in the middle ring a pressure trigger creating a 3rd point to activate or deactivate his saber.
This unique design is focused around long powerful sweeps and strikes and the longer handle allows him more leverage to generate power in each swing. While the additional triggers allow him to disable his blade to bypass defenses but also to adjust to strike with the hilt instead. Being built of reinforced materials that are designed to take some hits from lightsabers makes the hilt almost as dangerous as the blade itself and combined with his talent for Djem So and its powerful strikes he can deliver powerful impacts with the hilt alone.
Drawbacks: In saber combat having such a large hilt invites opponents to aim for the hilt rather then the blade in an effort to break the saber, though he is used to this he can sometimes struggle with very fast moving opponents especially those using Ataru
