Hello
I'm interested in running a Marvel Cinematic Universe RP based during and shortly after the CIVIL WAR story arc, I'll be protracting events and it will inevitably divert from the film (due out soon)
but the basics
You can play anyone featured in the MCU or create a original character they can either be a regular human joe working for one of the special agencies (details to follow) or a superhero choice is yours
Superpowers - you need to be able to fit them into the MCU
SO THE BIG NO NO NUMBER 1 - MUTANTS!
Mutants do not exist in the MCU they belong in the evil FCU and forever may they stay there
NUMBER 2 - THE FANTASTIC 4
Again they exist in FCU and forever may that abortion of good film making stay there
Ok those are the big 2 out of the way
So what can I use to get cool powers?
Aliens
Technology
Magic
Terrigenesis - Inhumans etc etc
Something else that fits

Ok so the Setting
---
One year after the events of The Sokovia Incident in which the artificial lifeform known as Ultron laid waste to the City of Sokovia and on top of the Chitauri Invasion of New York and the Triskelion Incident in Washington DC has led to a public outcry which has prompted calls for a System of Accountability and a governing body to monitor and control the activities of superheros determining when and where they should be used.
Supporting the government is Iron Man Tony Stark, spear heading the newly created Iron Sentinel program he calls for all superheroes to be registered under the Superhero Registration Act and their identities to be revealed, opposing this stance is the first Superhero Captain America Steve Rogers, he believes that superheros should be unregulated and above the control of governments and political entities, He strongly argues that many superheros like spiderman and daredevil keep their identities secret to protect those closest to them.
These polar opposites fracture the Avengers stagnating their position to inactivity as they stubbornly argue with one another but issues come to a head when the U.S.A. government issue then the President of the USA issues an order for the capture of the assassin known Winter Soldier following an alleged incident, this triggers Captain America to protect his friend but when the government send in Iron Man to make the arrest things escalate into armed conflict with factions form for and against registration the Government is taking a hard stance labeling any who refuse to register as outlaws and criminals

Now six months down the line things have taken a turn for the worst.
The Secret Avengers led by Captain America are undergound crime fighting vigilantes hunted by the government, they risk exposure every time they take on crime and risk arrest or worse should they be uncovered.
The New Avenger Initiative led by Iron Man is tasked with not only protecting the world from danger but also training new members to work as a part of what is rapidly becoming the 52 State Initiative, as a secondary that are tasked with finding the location of key members of the Secret Avengers to bring them to Justice and responding to emergency calls from the Iron Sentinels
The Iron Sentinels a new government agency headed by Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, they have become the Government's response to vigilante sightings they are the first responders given absolute authority they stand above local law in regards to dealing with the Secret Avengers
Advanced Threat Containment Unit (ATCU) a Government organization under the direction of General Glenn Talbott, created to deal with the emergence of Inhumans and the spread of Terrigenesis, they work closely with the Iron Sentinels due their expertise of dealing with empowered Inhuman's
Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division extra-governmental military counter-terrorism and intelligence agency officially under the command of the absent Grey Coulson but publicly headed by the wanted Nick Fury, tasked with maintaining global security, considered a defunct agency is still operating under the radar, secretly in charge of the ACTU
Sentient World Observation and Response Department Unknown agency established in the wake of the Chitauri Invasion
HYDRA is an authoritarian terrorist-criminal-paramilitary organization bent on world domination. Led by the mysterious Hive along side key figures such as the digital mind of Arnim Zola, they pose a growing threat to the work with the collapse of the Avengers and the Civil war
