Tatooine; Anchorhead - Mid Day
It had been a long time since his departure from Tatooine, but as the old saying stated, all roads led home. And here he was, once again upon its grizzled surface, no longer a boy, but home. Walking through the Spaceport toward the center of Anchorhead, Scorpio's glazed eyes floated across the latent visages his mind's eye caught in passing as the Force opened up minds and hearts for him to see. For Scorpio, it was a menial task, as much as it was an observance. But for others, the concept of his sight was as mysterious as it was frightening. There were those who could keep guard up around him, but for others, the ideology of his sight was invasive and outright rude. To know the intent and personality of others, however, was a clarifying experience. If, he even chose to see them at all.
Sitting down in a chair outside the local Cantina, a serving droid made it's approach. Scorpio wasn't much of a drinker, so he only ordered a humbled pint of moisture. He watched as Oof sprung around mischievously with the local fauna, thankful Hutt wasn't anywhere around to terrify the Droid, as he let the water cross his parched lips and slide elegantly down his throat. With a quick wipe of his sleeve, he let out a solemn "Ah" as he reveled in it's refreshment. He had forgotten the extreme heat and thirst of Tatooine compared to much of the rest of the Galaxy and how precious water truly was.
He pondered to his ship, having left it behind at the Spaceport for refueling and maintenance, and pondered how well Hutt was taking the strange droids coming and going from the ship, the Tooka Cat both mesmerized and terrified by any metallic life. One would think she would be used to it by now, with Oof being her favorite play thing, but she never grew accustomed to artificial life. But with his return to known space, he felt this would be an opportunistic moment to regain his lay of the land and gather needed supplies. As a former ward of Tatooine, it only felt right to begin his new journey here. And Tatooine's information highway wasn't a bad place to start in his journey to search for the Jedi.
Tossing a credit to the Droid, Scorpio down what remained of the moisture and headed out toward the merchant stalls, and more specifically, the Droid stalls to see if he could find a few spare parts for Oof and maybe even some others. One never could tell what you'd find when it came to the Jawas. And Anchorhead was full of them.
Aside from the overbearing heat and lack of water, Tatooine was a place he held dear to his heart. Just out there, across the Dune Sea, laid the remnants of his family's homestead, likely buried beneath its sands and forgotten to all but him. Even as he walked amongst the stalls, his mind wandered back to his childhood memories. Especially those of his mother and father, his younger brother Gemini, and his older sister, Virgo. There was an emptiness in his heart for them that nothing could ever fill, and for a brief moment, a tear streamed from his eye before drying beneath the sand that had settled upon his face. It felt good to reminisce, to remember. But he could not dwell on what could never be changed. Each day was a constant reminder to move forward, a reminder that would never be forgotten, a lesson painfully learnt.
Picking up a power cell, he glanced it over.
