BIOGRAPHY
Kemper Paploo was born on the Inner Rim planet of Champala, and despite stories that might or might not circulate amongst students, it is highly unlikely that the Chagrian was actually delivered with the heart of a curmudgeon, face twisted into a permanent scowl as his mother held him for the first time. Nor is it likely that his first words were 'sit down and shut up,' as some of his pupils claim.
Master Paploo is known for his brusque manner, his disciplinary attitude toward students, his ill-tempered nature, and his breath—which always has the trace scent of alcohol or Ozone, depending on who you ask. Once upon a time, the Chagrian might have been a friendly and kindhearted Jedi, but those days have long since passed—along with the decades and his wife, who left him many years ago.
A bit of a loose canon, but respected for his years of service to the Jedi Order, Master Paploo was recently 'retired' to the Jedi Temple of Yavin IV, where he instructs Padawan learners on nature and wilderness survival. The Chagrian is unenthusiastic in his approach to teaching and possesses a general 'I'd rather be somewhere else' attitude while still managing to be strict and no nonsense. Despite his age, he can outrun and outmaneuver any of his students, and he isn't afraid to implement a little bit of harmless Force use on his students when they mouth off or get too big for their britches.
Master Paploo is never happier than when he's outdoors or has a bottle in his hands, preferably alone and kicked back in his brown, faded leather armchair or propped up against the nearest tree.
