NAME: Luy

CALL SIGN: Tome

CONCEPT: Wisened Force Tutor

FACTION: Jedi Order and Rebellion

OCCUPATION: Hermit

LEVEL: 2

RACE: Feeorin

AGE: 284

FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes

APPEARANCE:

Over two metres tall, and with a chest of two thirds of a metre. Luy is a mighty Feeorin male of yellow skin. Upon immediate sight he would be seen as a mighty warrior of yore. But once time is spent together with him a demeanour of a well travelled and seasoned Jedi. Each muscle group moves with the grace of one that has spent decades observing the flow of energy that binds everything to everything.

Choosing to honour the former Order by maintaining its knowledge has left him with a compulsion to wear the robes of the Order. Specifically Luy wears robes that have large wrists to the sleeves and generally a freedom of movement, matching this are his loose fitting under robes, and roomy trousers tied up with an obi sash. These robes he makes darker and richer with a dye from the root of some sap rich trees. This aids in hiding on forestworlds and somehow comforts him with the variance of colour hiding the origin of the robes.

Often holding a stoic, neutral visage it is not uncommon for the old tutor to break into a smile or harden to a stern glare or scowl. His emotions, while controlled manifest on his face when with friendly company.

ATTRIBUTES:

STRENGTH: 8/10
DEXTERITY: 5/10
CONSTITUTION: 10/10
INTELLIGENCE:5/10
WISDOM: 6/10
CHARISMA: 5/10

PERSONALITY:

Luy has spent many years,if not centuries travelling the galaxy to help those that manifest Force powers to control them. This requires a stern and emotionally restrained manner and demeanour. HIs Master is laughing somewhere as the formerly rambunctious student that had to be curtailed and restrained from using his developing strength to win training bouts.

This youthful spirit is known to bubble up in training spars and the more physical aspects of in the training of Force sensitives, yet overall Master Luy has a purposefully reserved character that allows that of others to be brought forward.

BIOGRAPHY:

The Feeorin have alway been strong, and have looked after their own. Losing a homeworld will do that to a people. Some turned to the Republic, some to the Sith, some to piracy and then there were those that turned to themselves. Luy was born on the world of Tyegin to hard working parents that had settled among the trees. His father was an engineer for the railroads, where his mother was a woodswoman that helped clear the forests for expansions.

Before he was able to explore his father’s realm of steel and speed, they came. From a far off world on the Outer Rim, two robed figures approached his parents and then he was brought into a compact room within their rundown lodge. The dark room lit with two blades, one of a setting suns amber and the other a bright green. His parents were not there and he saw that after the ignition there was no movement from the pair.

This was when he passed his first test. He showed no fear of the two Jedi at such a young age, and his ability to sense a lack of intent was noted. As was the boys concern for his parents. The two Jedi took him quickly, and the trio entered a ship and his journey on the Path of the Jedi began.

Tutelage was given to him under the instruction of his Master, Morr Ortunn, in a small secreted sanctum on Qiilura. It only consisted of a small meditation chamber and a fountain shrine. The old Ithorian taught him to quench his emotions and such serenity brought the Force to him much clearer. This tranquility would form the bedrock of what would become his tuition of others.

After a full century and several decades, the were no more apprentices and no other Masters, so the old Feeorin faded into seclusion. In his travels finding only a scant few vergences of the Force, until recently, Luy needed to maintain his own knowledge of the lost Order’s ways and hone his skills. Now, Luy moves once more to find true sensitive students to impart the old ways and rebuild anew.

ABILITIES:

Force guided instruction - Through meditation from a sedentary positions and movements to discourse on his travels, Luy has been able to use the Force to aid in the tuition of others that seek it.

Feeorin Physique - A quirk of the Feeorin race compared to other creatures is that as they age, they physically get stronger and more durable. Approaching his third century, Luy is getting very strong and oh so reliable.

Master of Force Knowledge - Throughout his training, his tution of others and constant pilgrimage Luy has studied texts, debated life and the Force and met so many minds of many have experienced the Force.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:

Mental discipline - Education is a process of discipline or training minds. Proponents of mental discipline within the old Order believed that in this process mental faculties are strengthened through exercise.

Constant and diligent practice - An ounce of practice is worth more than tons of preaching. His own or that of his students, Luy is always found studying, meditating or moving through movements of lightsaber forms or using the Force.

Prolonged isolation, with sparks of contact - Social isolation has lead to Luy having feelings of loneliness, fear of others, or negative self-esteem. This drives his obsession with self-coaching and practising.

GEAR:

A few changes are required before I can approve this. All the Jedi are starting as Jedi Knights, so you'll have to change his rank from Master to Knight. There would be no conclave on Qiilura in the timeframe when he was trained, there would be survivors of the purge so the two Jedi finding him works but by then they'd be in hiding and avoiding setting up conclaves. As for the line at the end of your bio about the Order being no more, do you mean the Jedi who trained him or the Order at large. It's my understanding that the Order would already be more or less gone by the time his training began.

Please tag me once you've made the changes.

Just a quick note. The first five Jedi are allowed to have the "Jedi Master" rank. Rank is no longer tied to level, and, as the first five are training all the rest, it makes sense that they would have the "Master" rank.
