Going to give this a good read but from what I see, it looks pretty good. It would be interesting to make a character for a nomadic faction.

One of Raif's characters, the Jedi Blade Master Tytos has been trained by the Matukai. So, I'm not sure if there has been any Lore regarding the organisation that you may be contradicting. So I would advise you to speak to Raif before proceeding.

Looks pretty good, though. Congrats

As for lore, I really just sort of glossed over it in terms of Tytos' background. The bits I did mention are in line with what you've got, so no problems there. All in all I think this looks great and I'm very interested in seeing more.

oooh, I really want to make a character for this now...

However, I'm still new to the return, so I'm going to keep my two for now. However, I will make a char for this faction for my next creation! I love it!

A pity 6 characters are the max. But hey derik Vander has a Hut bounty of a few hundred thousand credits. If he dies I would so create a character for this faction.

Huh, that good to know. I didn't realize there was a character limit, I figured it was a free-for-all. Well, either way, I hope Vander dies :29:

The faction's history, story and the way you want to work them into the RP as a sort of galactic guerrilla group that pops up where and whenever needed is a wonderful dynamic that I think could be really interesting. There's certainly a lot going for the faction in terms of what you can do in threads and how you can effect the actions and plans of others. That said, there are a couple major issues with the way you've worked the whole Force Powers section. It is because of those issues that this faction is currently: Declined.

Before this faction ever comes close to being OK for approval, you will need to rewrite the Force Powers section. There are a number of things wrong with it so I'll start with the most obvious:

1) Having a group of force users that specialize in enhancing their own bodies to such an obscene degree means that each and every Matukai character would have to have been part of the Faction from the get go and trained from birth to achieve even a partial mastery over many of those techniques. This does two things: first it limits your recruiting pool to characters designed specifically to be Matukai and second: given that I have established that from the way you've written the potency of the Matukai in physical combat the necessity of being trained from birth to reach even a partial level of what you've described, removes a great deal of credibility from the faction. Small groups like the Matukai would have to welcome ex-Jedi or Sith or any partially trained Force-user to have any chance of enduring over time and since ex-Jedi and Sith have spent time learning other areas of the Force that you didn't specifically mention, they would never be able to match up to the level that you have written meaning you have unintentionally placed a cap on player progression.

2) The list of Force powers that you have drawn up for each rank is not only stacked to be an over powered combination, but you make no mention of the different ranks having varying skills with the powers that come with those ranks. That, in turn, leads to the assumption that each rank would have complete and utter mastery of each power listed the second they attain that rank. It also did not escape my notice that the majority of powers are clustered at adept rank.

3) The specific wording you've used in conjunction with links to powers in the actual Martial and Force Abilities section is essentially powerbuilding a faction of ultra superbeings.


In short, before this faction can be approved, you need to come up with a way of toning down the stacked abilities (if you want to keep with the preset ability style you have, over moving to a more free form style of simply describing what they are able to do in more general terms) while retaining the essence of the faction. Additionally, I'm unclear whether you control the entirety of your planet or not, so if you would be able to clarify that was well I would be very grateful.

Remove the following from the force powers list:

Precognition (because it's very conditional and generally frowned upon).
Force Reflex -- I read this ability as being similar to Precognition, as written it could be used for metagaming. It's already established that trained Force users have very fast reflexes. I'd say Force Reflex would be governed by the same rules as precognition.​

Change the levels at which the following are learned:
Move Warmind to be under savant because of the chance for corruption.
Place a condition on accelerated healing, like most healing techniques that it can only be used out of combat.
Revitalize cannot be used in combat.​

Also Raif needs to speak with TAC to make sure it's OK to have his master level character have dual affiliation. So does Zay for Kaythous.
