N4-X4 had only been working for the Bounty Hunters Guild for a few weeks. Today, the machine had been contracted to recover a smuggler by the name of Jibson Blyth. The smuggler was the primary target and was wanted dead or alive by members of the Five Syndicates. The commando droid did not particularly care what the man or his men did. But in his research of his target and the information provided by Naxa's client indicated the smuggler captain was a skilled pilot and navigator since he was know for flying the some confidential hyperspace routes. There was a bonus in it for the bounty droid as well as a calculated belief that it would boost N4-X4's reputation as a reliable service provider. Perhaps the droid would even learn a few new routes around the galaxy.
There was a secondary reason why the droid had accepted this contract was the fact that Blyth had entered. The target was believed to be hiding out on Tol Amn, a planet which had fallen into quarantine recently. The smuggler likely knew this and hoped nobody was foolish enough to follow him. But he had not planned on a droid taking on the job. The risk of infection of any sort was impossible, save perhaps for a data-plague. But Tol Amn was at an optimal location and its hyper wave buoys were virtually unguarded in the current quarantine status.
There would be more than one member of the crew for the droid to take down and he needed to recover their bodies. Finding their ship and blasting it out of the sky was not going to be a logical decision. The logical place for Blyth and his crew was somewhere on the surface. The storm wracked sky cast the planet in an early darkness. Rain had been drizzling since the commando droid had arrived but that was expected. The droid wore his plain cloak, primarily to keep himself and his equipment dry and prolong its life expectancy. +If you can be one thing you should be efficient+ He said aloud as he was followed by his seeker droid. The saucer shaped automaton said nothing in response. +There is still a 37.1 percent chance the client has hired other bounty hunters. There is a 02.4020 percent chance the other hunters are inorganic.+
The droid approached the treeline and ahead he could see a small town. But it was clear something was wrong because there were no artificial light coming from street signs, vehicles or the buildings that made up the moderate town. It seemed absolutely quiet, save for the sounds of nature. The droid activated its personal cloaking device and head towards the town, alternating ever few seconds between his low light and infrared. But there was a complete lack of heat signatures as well. It was a good thing N4-X4 had parked his ship deeper into the forest upon arrival. The commando droid preferred his targets to not know of his presence, or rather, Naxa liked having the odds work in his favor.
