Escape from Mataou Event!
The latest Site Event has begun and is already in-progress on the planet Mataou in Hutt Space, across two threads, each focusing on different aspects of the Site’s current events and stories driven by players prior to this.
Brave players are facing the cold, buried fury of Agorander as ancient battle droids awaken within the depths of a Hutt trophy vault. What could possibly be more horrifying to be inflicted on an unsuspecting Galaxy than a conqueror’s will reforged when the Galaxy is at its weakest? Face them HERE, thrust head-first into trouble, and either save the Galaxy from this new force or twist it for your own ends.

Following @Darth Raze's victory on Denon and enraged by the injury Raze sustained on Denon at the hands of Talak Rand, @Darth Stolas made a grim broadcast to the FWA and the New Republic, demanding they stand with them or be destroyed. Darth Stolas was riding off his momentum of having killed Jedi Councilor @Maxims Tionson and Ranger Captain @Roland Rook. Thus the Sith attacked Byblos, threatening to reach the Core Worlds if this worked.
At first everything was going well for the Sith, but then Jedi and Rangers alike stepped up their efforts at the Sith Invasion of Byblos. Darth Stolas spearheaded the assault, but was met with overwhelming opposition from both the Sector Rangers and the Jedi who aided in the New Republic planet’s defense.
The Sith were repelled, although they had a formidable force consisting of four Sith Lords (Darth Stolas, @Tiamat, @Darth Asminys @Darth Andruil) total among others (@Pedee, @Venthis Habrak) but the defense had multiple Jedi Masters and knights (@Vinry Forge @Alexandria Voran @Drow Venn @Isen Ramm @Sevrin Valtiere @Vahn Berand and @Byron Ryker @Vayla Mirana). Sector Rangers (@Darmus Onn, @Vera Coulter, and @Cyrene Nilar) also responded very quickly to the attack. No padawans, the Jedi were serious about this and brought their A-game and the results showed as the Sith were routed.
In the end two Sith Lords were captured (Asminys & Tiamat) and the rest got away. There was an official statement from the heads of the Free Worlds and the New Republic, taking in their victory. The Jedi are beginning to gain good publicity with the citizenry with them thwarting the Sith conquest. The Jedi and Sector Rangers are emboldened, it's cause to celebrate, and it remains to see what’s next for the Sith.
AMS Vaccine Development
The AMS virus continues to ravage through the galaxy, but there is some hope at last, as ISC President Emryc Thorne (@Darth Raze) on a holonet video congratulated Blackwell Tech for their defensive posture, courtesy of the technology that has shown to be effective against the zombies. Not only that, Thorne endorsed MorataCorp, a medical research company led under @Dr Ilana Morata. Dr. Morata made a statement that MorataCorp will be developing a vaccine.
"I am very proud of MorataCorp and the research we commit ourselves to, both as a medical aid provider and a research company. We have, in fact, been researching this virus for some time now; in working with others, I have full confidence we will develop a functioning vaccine to aid those trapped in infected cities and bring an end to this horrific disease."
State of the Galaxy
The AMS Outbreak
The AMS pandemic has spread through much of the galaxy, but the governments across the galaxy have been taking efforts to limit the spread of the virus, take action against the infected as well as evacuate non-infected from infected hotspots. Not only that, governments are also screening and putting planets under lockdown, further limiting the spread of the virus. Here are the hot spots

As said on the holonet, Ilana stated MorataCorp has trials for the vaccine already in their initial testing phase. If successful, it would help people at risk of exposure to the disease from catching the virus. If all goes well with the testing, the vaccine could be deployed in the close future.
In the aftermath of the Invasion of Denon, the Jedi Order was left reeling and trying to cope with various deaths and further threats directed at them by the Sith. A funeral was held for Talak Rand and Maxims Tions on Yavin 4 in the wake of the failed defense of Denon. Sparked by the same failed defense, @Drow Venn spoke to a member of the Council alongside Isen Ramm and Bryon Ryker to deal with an influx of refugees to Yavin 4 and the possible need for the Jedi to begin larger efforts to spread out the Order to their other, lesser known, bases.
Jedi Shadow operations have begun under the overall command of @Hannibal Grayza, focusing on bringing the fight back toward the Sith in an attempt to alleviate the pressure on the FWA while it gathers its strength. In two efforts led by @Sevrin Valtiere, Jedi managed to sabotage a shipment of starships heading for Sith use and instigate an ongoing rebellion upon Sullust, the surprise attack even managing to draw in a Sith Council member.
Standing with the Sector Rangers during a second invasion by the Sith, Jedi worked alongside their law-enforcing allies during the Invasion of Byblos. Although far from a flawless victory, Jedi efforts were appreciated by FWA and Ranger leadership. An after party for Rangers and Jedi has presented a great chance for the two to mingle in a more positive setting.
The Sith
With the battle of Byblos thwarted by the combined Jedi and Sector Rangers defense thwarted, the Sith have retreated to regroup and lick their wounds. The Sith are in an interesting predicament, with Darth Raze missing as well as Tiamat and Darth Asminys captured means they are down three Sith Lords. Still, there is no doubt that the Sith will continue advancing . It's only a matter of when and where.
Sector Rangers
The Sector Rangers finally have their big victory, having stalwartly stood in Byblos' defense against the Sith onslaught. Although the Rangers have always been a respected institution, this reminds the galaxy that the Sector Rangers are defenders of the law and freedom. The Rangers will see an increase of public and government support for them.
An investigation into the Eclipse is ongoing in the depths of Nar Shaddaa. @Darmus Onn guides the group of @Bast Emblai and @Corran Velt down the first steps of exposing the nature of the mysterious organization and taking it down. The first level has only a single ancient console for 'security'. Is the decrepit old building they've found themselves in really the headquarters of the Eclipse or is there more to it than seems obvious as first glance? Only time and their collection of skills will tell.
@Preef Callo has done it, he had taken over Nar Shaddaa, securing the Hutt Cartel’s seat of power for the Crymorah Syndicate. With this, the Crymorah Syndicate’s position in the Five Syndicates has increased further as did its power.
From the other syndicates there were mixed reactions, some positive Preef Callo doing a good job getting results and taking initiative. And negative reactions viewing Preef as an upstart going in way over his head. No doubt the Hutts will want to want to knock Preef down a peg and take their homeworld’s moon back for themselves. Still, Hutts are long-lived patient creatures, they had had power taken before, it’s only a matter of time before they get it back...
