After closely inspecting the case, Bel grunted and glared at the Zeltron. It wasn't even half of what he owed Sloan and Xur, and Bel could sense the arrogance coming from Kell like waves during high tide. So, the Zabrak slid the case across the desk back to Kell and took off his aviators so he could properly glare at the man who thought he was oh so clever.

"You think you're funny or something?" Kell swallowed hard but kept his defiant posture. After waiting for Kell to respond for too long, Bel chuckled and began to take his leave without the case of credits. "Maybe you'll find it less humorous after-"

"ALRIGHT. Fine, I'll give you the rest of the money- good LORD..." Kell didn't take long to gather the rest of the credits, and Bel didn't bother checking it this time because he watched and made sure the Zeltron did as he was told. "See? Wasn't to hard now as it? See you soon, Kell." And with that, the pair of Sith would make their way out of the casino.

"Alright, that should be good enough to get me in with Black Sun." Bel said after he met with Sloan and Xur and delivered the good news. "Than you Cheriss," He would give her a friendly smile before scratching the back of his head. "Hey, uh, um... You free sometime? I was just thinkin', and uh, was wonderin' if you wanna go on a real date sometime? If not...that's fine, it's fine- you're busy, I'm busy, but yeah...If you're down, so am I, is all I'm really saying..."

Cheriss tried not to roll her eyes when she saw Kell’s feeble attempt to scam his way out. How he could think that he would get away with it was beyond her. However, he admitted to it quickly enough, and she settled with a subtle shake of her head as she watched Bel handle it. In the end, they got what they came for, and that was what mattered.

The meeting with Sloan and Xur went well enough afterwards, though she was sure not to bring up Tonica again that time. Just as well— if they would stay away from her business, she would do the same with theirs. Today had been a productive day, despite many of the events being unplanned, and she was content with that.

“It was a pleasure working with you again, Bel.” She nodded at him briefly when he thanked her, ready to be on her way when she realized he still had more to say. As the words came out his mouth, albeit more than a little shaky, she would wait patiently for him to finish. He wanted to go on a date? Like she hadn’t seen that coming from a mile away. Well. At least he’s direct about it.

“I am busy,” she agreed, giving him a slight smile as she echoed him. “And so are you.” She could hear, feel his embarrassment, but she’d seen that kind of flustered reaction before. Last time it had caused a man, for the price of a kiss, to give up his secrets. Afterwards, that same man had ended up heartbroken— quite literally. Yet Cheriss didn’t see Bel as someone who deserved the same treatment. He had more to give than just bits and pieces of information.

For that, it was best to keep some things out of sight.

“I appreciate the offer, agent. But there is a lot about me that, quite frankly, you don’t know. I’m certain it’s the same for me when it comes to you.”
She gave him a slight smile, hoping he would get the message. The last thing she needed was Bel pulling out of Tonica and giving away company secrets if she straight up denied him. “I’d hate to rope you into something you don’t want to be a part of.”

Ah, well... Bel half expected this. It was worth a shot and he was at least satisfied with the answer she gave him. After letting out a sigh he would roll his shoulders and give her another warm smile. Everyone had their own demons, and Cheriss most likely had some interesting ones herself. Bel knew he did, too.

"I understand. Thank you, Cheriss. For everything." Now it was time for Bel to disappear into the Syndicates, the deepest he would ever be. Would he have time for the Sith? Not unless it was dire. Would he have time for Cheriss? Only if time allowed. For now, Black Sun was the priority. "Watch your back out there. Pretty faces like yourself get a lot of unwanted attention." He would tease before heading back to the casino. The Hoard would be his new home for a while, so he'd have to grow comfortable with it.

Until next time...
