War raged across the galaxy. The Jedi Order and Free World Alliance clashing with increasing frequency against the Sith Orders. Worlds fell and were liberated in a violent cycle. It was easy to forget the ordinary citizen of the galaxy suffered most. The Sith or Jedi came, battled ensued, and then they were gone. Often leaving trails of destruction in their wake no matter their intention. The Jedi were spread thin and often bounced to the next fight. The Sith were the Sith. Jedi Master Alexandria Voran had vowed to break the endless cycle. She would not watch the Order walk away from the worlds they touched.

Zathria, a fellow healer, was putting together resources for a mobile humanitarian effort. A ship capable of arriving and healing the aftermath of battle. It was not much but it was a start. Unfortunately, such an endeavor required significant resources. Resources the Order simply did not possess on their own. A greater undertaking was need and so Alex had volunteered to assist. The politicians on Coruscant presented a unique opportunity to procure part of what they needed. Credits.

Alex had managed to wrangle together a number of senators and influential Coruscanti to attend a party. She did have some help. Another mysterious benefactor Zathria had been in touch with. (@Killa Ree) Alex stood in a rented high rise Coruscanti apartment waiting for the guest to arrive. This was her chosen element. War had begun to cling to the Morellian Jedi, but diplomacy was where her heart beat strongest. This was who she was, not the warrior. Alex had set her Jedi Robes aside for more simple attire. She was still a Jedi Master, but the party goers did not need that constant reminder. Alex was here as more than just a representative of the Order. She wished to heal the galaxy, and this was a needed step in that direction. They could not continue to throw away lives as if they were nothing more than battle scenery. These were people and they needed help.

Sace was still figuring things out...for himself, and himself within the Order. Barely even a Padawan, he figured the best way to learn more from the Jedi was to put himself out and make it known that he wanted to help out any way that he could. The selfless nature of the Jedi sometimes got shrouded by war, politics, and especially the media. Sace wanted his initiation into the Order made it known that he was here for more than any of that. Not only was he here to fulfill some sort of legacy he thought he owed his ancestor, but to genuinely help the people of the galaxy from the tyrannical rule that the Sith clearly strived for.

The Sluissi knew this was a benefactor party, and thus dressed the part. Still young, and still somewhat immature, the tall serpent slithered over to the bar and ordered a drink. "I'd like a tattoine sssunset pleassse..." He hoped that his suit did not immediately give away how poor he was...it was rented from a Coruscanti shop, that he'd promised to pay upon return.

The Sluissi dared not interrupt those clearly deep in conversation. Evidently you were supposed to bring a guest...or be known by the entire galaxy, just to be here. Sace felt small and isolated, though that wouldnt stop him from showing those who cared to ask why he was here. His knowledge of the current events in the galaxy were certainly slacking, which was another reason he'd rather not strike up conversation with people for fear of embarrassment. Though his will to learn overbore his delusion and fear enough to get him through the door.

Vraes had served a few times with Jedi Master Alexandria Voran and so he figured this meeting would be no different. The Mandalorian warrior would enter the apartment, clad in his full battle regalia, and head for hostess.

Some guests all but stopped what they were doing as the mountain of beskar walked past. Fortunately, he didn't have his axe in hand, though he still visibly carried it on his back.

Reaching Alex, his arms would cross and his visor would shift to take in her full view. "Can't say I've seen this kind of armor before." He mused, glancing around. It was hard to tell if he was joking or being serious. "I feel a tad overdressed."

Brienna Lanaamer, Jedi Knight, rode the elevator upwards to a Coruscanti penthouse apartment. Her stomach felt the familiar lurch as its speed increased, and soon the interior was painted with the late afternoon golden glow of the setting sun. It was a pleasing sight, and made Bri smile. She stared out, reflecting on the rather interesting diversity of events that a Jedi participated in. Just a short while ago she had been knee deep in muck on Nal Hutta, both literally and figuratively. It only took four showers to get the smell out of my hair, for future reference. Pretty much the exact opposite was attending and helping with a fundraiser for the Jedi to acquire a medical frigate. A ship capable of helping those heal in the battles that were becoming dangerously too common across the Galaxy. Bri agreed wholeheartedly with the idea, and as more of a healer than a fighter, volunteered to help in any way she could.

The event had been organized by Jedi Master Alexandria Voran and Jedi Knight Zathria At'arel. While she was not well versed in the aristocracy of Coruscant, she was for Chandrila. Bri had made contact with a few of her connections from her nearby homeworld, and invited those she thought could be of use, or at least amenable to hearing the persuasive arguments they were going to set forth. The Jedi had a goal for the evening, but the second thought that Bri had floating around in her mind persisted: any help, no matter how small, would be welcomed. The ding of the elevator snapped her from foggy thoughts back to reality. Bri stepped out, and navigated the few short hallways to the large main entertaining space. The sight was impressive. Tall, floor to ceiling windows bathed the entire area in the natural light of the sunset. Tasteful pieces of modern looking furniture were scattered around the room at appropriate intervals. Two bars served the event, flanking the room on either side.

Bri took a quick glance downward at her wrist, noting that she had arrived just a few minutes early. Fashionably, she judged in her mind. Despite the time, a number of guests had already arrived, though the soft ding of the elevator behind her reminded that more were incoming. Entering the room, Bri spotted Jedi Master Voran, near the middle of the room. She made eye contact, and offered a friendly nod, noting a rather imposing looking man in Mandalorian armor had her current attention. Bri had yet to directly work with the Jedi Master, but had seen her 'around' the Jedi temples, and the various circles they operated in. The dress code on the invitation had indicated formal, and though that obviously varied from culture to culture, Bri was relieved to see that the other Jedi had not shown up in formal robes, instead sporting a smart dark blue suit. She herself was wearing something similar, matching the cornflower blue of her formal jumpsuit, to her soft azure eyes.

The Jedi took a quick inward breath and put on her best, friendly smile, preparing to mingle.

Nothing surprised the Doctor more than being invited by a Jedi to a fundraising function. Though she had been seen being around Sevrin Valtiere, she doubted this would have been the reason she had been invited.

Nonetheless, she would arrive in the style suited to a woman with all eyes of the galaxy on her every move.

There had been a time that arriving from above would have sent her stomach in knots of fear and anxiety. Though there was still a familiar tremble of anxiety that touched on her fingers, she smoothed it over with thoughts on the task ahead. Long white hair had been pulled back from her features but left down, the silvery-white strands decorated with accents of silver and pale blue. Even her
prosthetic arm glinted, unashamedly visible, in white and silver chrome. Her attire, though seemingly simple in its' construction, shimmered iridescent azure and silver with every step, transforming the slender Doctor into a woman that could rival the highest echelons of the galaxy. Simplicity was better, after all.

Amber eyes panned the crowd for the woman she was invited to raise the funds for this ship with; after all, it would be in poor taste to not greet the host with the respect she had given.

The two agents who had come into the building with her from the lift, she gave the simplest nod to mingle if they wished. However, she knew their eyes would be on her at all times; an unfortunate necessity it was, for after all not everyone wanted the vaccine, mistrusting either the mysteries of virology or making a profit on those who suffered on the AMS-riddled planets.

Others in her way stepped aside as she entered, and through the throng, she could feel the emotions sparking through; curiosity, surprise, intrigue, bright notes of them lingering on her senses like a lemon zing. For a moment, amber eyes flicked over to the armored male out of brief curiosity, but the man was granted a nod of acknowledgment, before bowing slightly to the Master before her.

"Thank you for the invitation," she spoke up quietly, regarding the woman with a cool stare. However, the faintest smile touched on her lips. "It is a pleasure to support a cause I have been working for years for."

It wasn't every day someone in Freya's line of work found themselves heading to what could only be described as a 'High Society Function', yet here she was. On the trail of a Blackwell Executive, Freya had tracked them to this Coruscanti party, having traced their ship from system to system. They'd purchased tickets to this event a few days ago, and so she had done the same.

Consider it an investment, she told herself as she walked into the room. She had ensured to dress the part so as to not stand out, and as such, was not armed - this being more of a recon mission than anything else.

Walking into the event, she briefly felt wildly out of place, surrounded as she was by wealthy business people and the galactic elite. This feeling was soon overridden by one of shock when none other than Dr. Morata herself walked in, accompanied by two heavy-set gentlemen, security officers no doubt. There were people no doubt, who would pay a pretty penny to see Dr. Morata out of the picture; profiteers from the AMS pandemic.

But none of them are paying me, so who cares.

Walking up to the Doctor, Freya smiled politely "Doctor Morata, it's a pleasure to meet you in person. I must say, I simply am a huge admirer of your work." she said, effecting a Coruscanti accent.

The party began in earnest as guests began to file in. It was imperative the Order put their best foot forward. This was an opportunity to show they were more than saber wielding meat shields. The Jedi could heal the galaxy in a way modern medicine simply could not. Together, they could accomplish truly extraordinary feats. The challenge was simply getting everyone pulling in the same direction. Alex raised an eyebrow as Vraes approached. (@Rhogar) The hulking Mandalorian had grown on her. She was oddly fond of the strange man. A Jedi and a Mandalorian certainly made for an odd pairing. “Vraes…I see you’ve dressed for the occasion, as always.” Alex smiled lightly. “I don’t expect trouble, but you never know these days.” The Mandalorian did provide a measure of calm she had not felt before.

Her vision swept the ground again. Ah…there she was. It was impossible to miss Dr. Morata, the arm, the dress, and the muscle. Just the women for which she was looking. Alex allowed a genuine smile to appear on her face when the good doctor approached. “Dr. Morata, I had hoped you would come.” (@Killa Ree) Part of the reason for throwing the shin ding was for Alex to meet the CEO of MorataCorp. Alex’s eyes lingered on the doctor for a moment. What was that she felt? The Force? She cleared her thoughts. Not the time. Just, as she was about to launch into the meat of their meeting, another dazzling woman approached. “We all admire MorataCorp’s work, we also use names.” (@Nor'baal) Alex flashed a smile again.

“Alexandria Voran.” She gestured towards herself. She was polite to a fault, but she had wanted to speak to Dr. Morata alone. “There is a path before us where we can do tremendous good…but funding a war is far more exciting than paying for the damage that war causes.” This was a sad truth of their reality.

I felt like a skinned Wamprat Without my rifle, Which had been left back on board my ship with R-5. It was like leaving behind an Arm or something... And then as I walked into the Event, past all the Poshly dressed Senators and well-to-dos I felt even more naked. My Armor was polished and I had cleaned my Hat, Showered but without the finery of these folks I stuck out like a sore thumb. Still, When I heard of the endeavor to bring aid to Those in need I felt obligated to attend and to help in any way I could, Including offering my Ship's cargo hold to help bring supplies..
Entering the Apartment I saw another Mandalorian, which brought some relief to me. He was speaking with a Jedi whom I assumed was the organizer of this fundraiser. I would've gone up to speak with them but it appeared they were somewhat busy so I went about mingling with the guests.

Vraes would offer a slight laugh at the 'as always', remembering their first meeting in Sith Space. He had worn his armor then and it likely wouldn't change in the future. Not because of some faulty code, but because he truly felt as if he was amongst enemies everywhere he went. The exception, was Jedi Master Alexandria Voran.

Like her, he'd taken a shine to the other. He was the bridge for his coalition to the Jedi and so every second he would weigh them and every time, the Jedi Master would elevate that standing. "I even got all the blood off of it. Gotta dress to impress, as they say." He'd glance around. "A lot of targets here, I'll keep you and them safe, should things go awry."

He knew she could take care of herself, but something made him want to defend her. It was an odd feeling. When another woman with a cybernetic arm approached, ( @Killa Ree ) Vraes would return the nod. He wasn't sure who she was, but he'd remain quiet as he took a few steps away from the Doctor and the Jedi Master. Close enough to hear and react, but far enough to not be in what appeared to be a private conversation. His gaze, however, would shift to the third woman in the group, before shifting to scan the party.

The moment someone approached the Doctor, one of the guards moved as though to intercept, but paused when she gave the male a slight look. The third woman to the private greeting was someone she didn't know, and considering she never forgot a face, that was saying something. Amber eyes raked over the woman; she could sense the shock, quickly masked by curiosity, and perhaps... a shade of eagerness?

"Thank you, Miss...?" she tilted her head slightly, then bowed her head slightly. "Please excuse my poor manners. I'm afraid I'm not a worthy partner for your attention; though I would love to take credit for the work of MorataCorp, my people are worthy of all the praise. It is because of them I am able to extend a hand here."

She caught the words of the Master, and glanced to the woman, wincing inwardly at the terms 'funding a war'. Did it have to be put quite that way? However, her expression remained cool and civil outwardly, even allowing a sociable smile.

"Please excuse me once again, Miss. Miss Voran, would you give me the honor of a dance?" She offered up a slender arm, and though the music was perhaps not quite something one could fluidly dance to, it would allow the Jedi Master and herself some modicum of privacy, without seeming rude. From what she could sense, the Master had something to say, so she would do her best to be an appropriate guest.

The party would have taken Maiko back to the one Drastus held on his and Felix's dorm back in Yavin IV except this wasn't a potluck nor a sort of "chill and relax" kind of party.

The Padawan supposed that it was for other people, but not for him. Clad in a simple attire (the bowtie and suspenders were hand-me-downs from an older brother), Maiko felt terribly out of place despite the fundraiser event being organized by Master Alex. He was used to parties, having celebrated a lot back in their common house at Sorgan, but not to this extent. It was a miracle that he had managed to scrounge up any of his clothes that might pass off as somewhat formal, but it didn't help the young Padawan to ease his nerves.

Alright, it did. Just a smidge, though.

As such, Maiko delegated himself to be a wallflower once he arrived at the event proper. For the fifth time during his elevator ride he ran his hand through his gelled hair. His ears turned red with embarrassment. At least he had the sense to put less than an even amount, what with his hair being tameable at best. He tried hard not to stare too much at his own reflection, somewhat scared that he might actually lose his nerve and just march back to his room and sleep. Maiko steeled himself, however. Master Alex had been working non-stop to help with the affairs in the Order. And while he had been doing his fair share of his duties both as her student and a part of the Jedi Order, the Padawan still held on to his promise to his Master that he would always be there for her no matter what.

Even if she couldn't take him to her more dangerous missions, which was understandable – they both have different paths to take on their own, as they have discussed. The desire to be by her side to support her remained as fierce as ever, nonetheless.

The lift went "ding!" and Maiko hurriedly stepped outside unless he had a change of heart. Steeling himself, he headed straight for the venue, took one long look at the gathered people (all in fancy outfits (@Killa Ree, @Nor'baal) , it made his head spin), and promptly searched for the less crowded corner so he could simply lurk there until the proceedings ended. He was a bundle of nerves, really, that he had failed to notice how he instinctively sought his Master (@Valen Pelora) through their bond.

Maiko didn't reach Master Alex, however.

The Padawan instead walked right into a hulking figure's (@Rhogar) back, forehead almost hitting the person's armor if it weren't for Maiko instinctively – again – stopping himself just shy of getting a face full of metal.

"I'm sorry!" the Padawan blurted out, regardless if the armored person even felt the collision. Maiko was, embarrassing as it was, in too deep in his own worries that he even missed something that stood out in the party the most.

Maker, he wished the ground could just split and swallow him whole to save him from this embarrassment!

“Alexandria Voran.”

"Chielli Vaspar." Freya lied, introducing herself, before smiling as Dr. Morata addressed her directly. She was a severe-looking woman, one who seemed more at home in her lab than at functions such as this; which made sense and was something Freya could understand. Freya was not surprised by the coldness of her greeting, as far as Dr. Morata was concerned, Chielli was just some socialite, determined to be able to name drop her at the next function she attended.

Somewhat gilted by the good Doctor, who swept away with Miss Voran, she walked over to the bar, and was stopped short by the arrival of a young man, who in turn, walked directly into a hulking armoured brute, with a loud 'dink'. She suppressed a laugh and moved quickly to the young man's defence. "No harm done," she moved to stand next to the youngster "I'm sure, no?"

Chielli Vaspar. The lie rang hollow in the Force. Alex kept her face smooth. A false name did not automatically imply nefarious intent, but it was a bad start. Her gaze flicked to Vraes for a moment. She was suddenly glad the hulking Mandalorian was just a few feet away. He cut an imposing figure. It was a little strange among the finery but if strangers were going to be wandering forward with falsehood, she would rather have a little oddity by her side. Alex quickly returned her attention to Dr. Morata. The physician clearly annoyed by the interloper.

She smiled again. “Of course.” (@Killa Ree) Alex took the offered arm, nodding towards Vaspar and Vraes. “Excuse us.” (@Rhogar @Nor'baal) She spared one last look at Vraes. He knew to keep an eye out. Her life spent as a Jedi had not offered many opportunities for dancing, but Alex dedicated her life to the diplomatic arts. Her recent foray into the war did not diminish the decades spent using words over sabers. She was in her elements. The fingers on her left hand flicked to change the music as she led Dr. Morata onto the dance “floor.” It was then she felt the pull of her Force bond with Maiko. Her mind was distracted for a moment while her student bustled into the party. Her mind reached out to touch his. “The Mandalorian is a friend.” (@Forsythe Crowholde)

Alex again returned her attention to the good doctors, moving slowly with the music. “I believe we have a common goal.” Her voice was soft as she spoke. There was no need for the other guests to overhear. “Everyone picks a side but no matter the side there are billions left suffering.” A small frown formed on her usually placid face. “Perhaps I am naïve, but I believe we can do better…should do better.” War did not mean they forgot their duty. No matter who “ruled” they were meant to serve all life.

With how close he was, he could hear the name given by the third woman. And by Alex's look, especially the one she gave him before departing for the dance floor with the doctor, Vraes knew who to watch.

Then something bounced against this back and he'd turn slightly, hand lowering to the dagger at his belt, if it was a thief, they'd lose the ability to do so. But his visor would fall on the frame of a small boy who looked like he was one jump scare from dying. The hand that teased the dagger, would leave it. "Find your confidence, boy, for the gods won't stomach such behavior and neither will I." His hand slipped into his chest plate to remove a flask and offer it to the boy.

Then Chiela came over and felt the need to interfere again. His gaze shifted to her. "Chiela, if I overheard correctly. It's an ugly name. What's it from?"

The woman accepted, and the Doctor gave a nod to the parting Chielli. No doubt the woman had her reasons for being here, but she wasn't quite prepared for pleasure before business. And this dance was business, though it helped the Jedi Master was a formidable woman of her own right.

"I agree," she murmured, amber eyes staring straight into the Morellian's own gaze. Subtle reading, focusing solely on her, though the emotions and senses of others thrummed about, and she knew there were eyes on them. A Jedi and a physician dancing no doubt seemed odd, but they didn't matter.

"I do not think naivety drives you,"
she answered, moving in time, with respectful distance, to the Jedi. And yet each step was fluid, sure, as though they had danced before. "In fact, I commend your drive. How do you propose doing better? Especially for a galaxy that still views Jedi with, in some cases, hostility?" She didn't ask with any venom in her tone; instead, she seemed curious, and intrigue burned in a brilliant amber gaze.

He would've panicked at the thought of possibly offending the tall, armored being had it not for his Master speaking to him through their bond in the Force. Maiko had every right to feel anything but calm, though; he'd looked down just in time to see one gloved hand reach for a weapon tucked to a belt but if Master Alex said that this man – a Mandalorian, as she had called – was a friend then there was no reason for the Padawan to feel as if his life was being overtly threatened by the intimidating presence the armored man cut in the party.

Jusy because he wasn't nervous any longer didn't mean that he stopped feeling embarrassed, however.

Okay. Thank you, (@Valen Pelora) Master, he replied through their bond. And – with all the audacity of his teenage years – unable to stop himself, the young Padawan absent-mindedly commented, He looks scary, though, Master. Intimidating. I-I'm not judging! Just stating a f-fact!

"Erm..."
Confidence? He was working on that! Maiko lifted his gaze to meet the man's visor, smile bright like a kid's on Life Day, before offering the latter a respectful bow. "I'm Maiko! Pleased to meet you, Mister Mandalorian!"

He honestly had very limited knowledge as to what a Mandalorian was, except for the fact that they were supposed to be the best warriors in the galaxy, capable of going toe to toe with both Jedi and Sith. By the looks of the Mandalorian in front of him Maiko felt that the man could simply swing a fist to the Padawan's head to knock him out.

Scaaaaary. But cool.

A beautiful woman's arrival snapped the young Padawan's thoughts off of bodily harm, offering her the same smile he gave the heavily armored man. Cheeks turning pink when she jumped to his defense, Maiko's gaze shifted from the woman to the Mandalorian a little worriedly when the man said her name was ugly.

"It's not, though," Maiko blurted out, not from a need to impress and defend a beautiful woman – far from it, to be exact. He just tended to avoid conflict, and while he had no idea if Miss Chiela would be offended by Mister Mandalorian's comment, the Padawan hoped that it would not breed an argument or something.

"No harm done, Miss Chiela," he politely assured the woman before turning to the armored man. "I'm at fault here – I should have been more alert of my surroundings. I'm sorry again for bumping into you, Mister Mandalorian."

To show his sincerity Maiko took the proferred flask, taking a peek at its contents. He hoped it wasn't alcohol – he had never tried one (he's a minor!) and he would never. Who knew if he turned out to be a lightweight? That would be embarrassing!

"What's innit?" the young Padawan asked, equal parts curious and confused. Then, he asked the two guests with the curiosity of a child who itched to know his parent's business outside of what he knew, "You know my Master Alex? How? When?"

Maiko didn't mean for his questions to come out like an interrogation of sorts. He was just really curious, honest!

The dance took place beyond the party. This was something greater. Alex shut out the rest of the crowd. Whatever looks they drew, she brushed aside. If trouble stirred the Force bond, she shared with Maiko would hum. The young Jedi would not allow his Master to falter. She knew this in her soul, and it allowed Alex to focus on the task at hand. Oddly, she felt perfectly at easy with Dr. Morata. Dangerous. Did she know enough to truth the woman? No…would she still be honest? It was her nature.

“We have stumbled…faltered…which has created justified mistrust.” A sad smile grew. “I cannot fix the errors of the past.” Her feet moved in perfect time with the music. “And it is foolish to try but we can change the future.” Alex looked into the doctor’s eyes. “Building trust takes time and requires effort. Effort we have been hesitant to expend before.” A flaw of the Order. They had been adrift since Max passed. She would correct that mistake.

“The Force is capable of tremendous healings, but we are few, the cost is high, and there are some barriers we simply cannot cross…with modern medicine we can bridge that gap.” The music continued to play around them. “A handful of Jedi cannot heal a world, but a handful of Jedi and an army of medics can change everything.” That much was true.

Bri put on her most effortless charm as she spoke to a few of the Coruscanti politicians. She could tell a few of them were more interested in hearing about some of the most recent Jedi exploits, instead of her appeals. Do they even know why they're here? Likewise, there appeared a few who were more interested in performing their own networking, greatly enjoying the free alcohol and canapés. It might have been easy to get discouraged, but the Jedi held firm to her cause, smiling pleasantly. She looked down and noticed her drink was empty, and excused herself from a quickly deteriorating conversation to make a pit-stop at one of the bars.

As she walked across the room, she kept her eyes on the scene in the middle of the room, involving Master Voran, the large Mandalorian, another well dressed woman, and the illustrious Dr. Morata. They were joined, rather abruptly by a young Jedi, which Bri was able to surmise was the Master's apprentice. The Doctor and the Jedi Master had extracted themselves for a dance, while the others remained behind. Bri strode past the group, making quick eye contact with a smile and nod.

"I'll have another," she commented to the bartender, holding her glass out. The request might have been ambiguous, but the shape of the glass gave away what kind of drink was wanted. While the flute was refilled with more sparkling wine, Bri turned attention to her right, where a Sluissi (@Just Matt Now ) was nursing a Tattoine Sunrise. The Jedi could feel the unease coming from the young Jedi, sensing a Force sensitivity. In truth, gatherings like this could be intimidating if it was something new. Bri judged to offer a few friendly words of advice. "Hi there, met anyone interesting yet? It can be a little daunting, but at least its a different kind of danger than physical harm," she spoke with a laugh at the end, appreciating her own joke. The bartender returned with her full glass, which she accepted with a, "thanks."

Drast could hardly tell at his luck right now. Ever since his arrival on Coruscant. He showed up to find Lt. Velt, then got escorted to him, nay -carried- to him as if he were royalty. Did he still have a twitch from the stun ring? Maybe once in awhile. But hey, he got to the LT. And now, instead of chartering a shuttle, he found other Jedi on the world!

So, Drast walked in, clad in his usual purple vest, black button up shirt, with the top three undone to show off his amazing ink. The sleeves were rolled up to so the same. It didn't even bother him that some of the burn scars were showing. He was pretty much dressed to impress, with a bag strapped to his back carrying gifts for Lani and Xiann. The young man had all the swagger of a man in his prime, with the only real detrimental part of appearance being that half his face had healing burn scars from the events on Denon. In the back of his mind, he hoped his Master was present, especially when he heard it was some kind of fancy shindig for raising money. At the door, he flashes his saber to show he was a Jedi, then up the elevator he went.

Once the elevator dinged, he strolled on in, taking note that his little brother ( @Maiko Sigur ) was chatting up a woman and a Mandalorian. A very dangerous combination. But boy, was he thirsty. Sitting at the bar near @Brienna Lanaamer he would offer her a grin. "Hey, been awhile." He then waved over the tender. "I'll take a Corellian whiskey." He'd look past Bri and offer a nod to the Jedi beyond her. ( @Just Matt Now)

It was ironic.

Not a few months ago, she loathed Jedi and Sith equally. Both of them were viewed with heavy skepticism and mistrust, even hatred from someone in the galaxy whose sole purpose had been to preserve sentient life. Yet in media, both sides had lost their way. Both sides seemed to snatch at portions of the galaxy with abandon and yet... situations changed.

She could remember talking with Sevrin Valtiere on the roofs of Nar Shaddaa, and the whisper of the Bond that hummed between them. She kept in time with the Jedi, watching the Morellian's face with a scalpel gaze, dissecting the truth in the woman's words, parsing them and taking them in with a cool scientific air.

The woman's emotional readout was earnest. She believed in what she said, and as someone thus changed, reformed, this would be her chance, it felt like.

"Specifically, what is it you need?" she asked patiently, leading the woman subtly into a light spin, before resuming again. The rest of the galaxy seemed to fade to nothingness. She had her singular attention now.
