NAME: Mica Telst
FACTION: Jedi Order
RANK: Knight
SPECIES: Human
GENDER: Male
HEIGHT: 5' 9" or 1.8 m
WEIGHT: 140 lbs or 63 kg
FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes and trained
APPEARANCE:
Mica looks younger then he actually is, which he will say comes from his diet of sugary foods. His hair is curly and short with a deep almost black shade of brown with eyes a brighter shade of brown. He is thin and wiry and is often wearing the simple robes of a Jedi wearing a soft green shirt with simple khaki leggings underneath.
ATTRIBUTES:
While using the force Mica can increase his strength speed and reflexes to super human levels he has the problem with stamina. Using these methods rapidly drains him and led to his unique style of fighting to try and win battles before his stamina gives out. It also is why he enjoys sugary foods as they energize him the most after using the force. His technical skill, outside of breaking through security systems is very very limited. He likes machines and likes that they do certain jobs that would be tedious for himself or others he has absolutely no idea how they function or operate and as such is a very lousy driver, to the point his master would joke that Mica could go anywhere he wanted with a speeder...so long as he was prepared to arrive in pieces. He does however understand biological systems well, not enough to be a real medic but his study of gardening taught him a lot about plant and animal behavior giving him insight into the way the world works.
PERSONALITY:
Mica has a childish carefree attitude as well as a goofy nature that sometimes makes those around him wonder if he is truly a Jedi. He is a true chatter box though with his masters lessons has gained the skill of saying a lot and nothing all at the same time. Despite his silly nature he is a true believer in the Jedi Code. While others find the will of the force to be a gentle guide Mica in turn puts his complete faith in it. He goes where it pulls him nearly always having no idea why he is going somewhat until he arrives and he often jokes that he is a slave to fate. It is the fact he cant often explain why he goes certain places aside from "The force told me to" that gives him a somewhat aloof and fickle nature. Though he is drawn in what he feels like random paths he still has nearly absolute faith in the force. He does struggle however when he is forced to take a life, even if the Order and the Force both support the action he has no stomach for it he will exhaust every option in his arsenal before reaching for it using lethal force only as his true last resort and even then he is unsure if he could truly go through with it.
BIOGRAPHY:
Mica was born to simple farming family on Lothal. The middle child of six siblings he grew used to a life of hand me downs and getting by with little but for all the troubles he lived a good life for the first decade of his life. As his gift with the force became more and more clear his parents became concerned, after all such a gift needed to be properly cultivated and trained and though he protested they gathered up the credits to send their son off world to be taken in by the Jedi to learn how to harness this gift and help the order. He was put into the care of a Jedi Master who worked to convert the boys childish impulses into forms of meditation and development, under this same master he learned the princples of not only the force but of the Jedi and took to them well... in his own way. For the next fourteen years he trained and grew into a Jedi, though not quite as orthodox as his master he still earned the rank of Knight shortly before his masters passing with age. The last of his apprentices Mica follows the code the Jedi taught him and still follows the lessons of his family working to promote peace and freedom.
SKILLS:
When it comes to his bladework Mica uses one of two distinct mindsets and styles depending on the situation. If the battle is a proper duel or training he relies on the style his master taught him, the combination of Shien and Djem So relying on quick defense and overwhelming counter attack when he finds an opening. But outside of a standard duel Mica still relies on Form V but combines it with various other ideas drawing on Tràkata and Dun Möch as well as a variety of gadgets. He becomes more of a trickster and sneak outside of a duel, choosing survival over the ideas of honor.
With the Force Mica dislikes using the powers to influence others or to effect others minds though he does know how to defend against such actions. He views using his power to influence minds to be a violation of their privacy and freedom and same goes for when someone attempts to use their powers on his own mind. He prefers conversations happen vocally rather then through the force and figuring out what someone is thinking by observing them is more rewarding then using the Force to "cheat" as he puts it. He does however use the force to empower himself and to manipulate the world around him using it to increase his strength, speed and reaction times as well as the more common uses of object manipulation.
As a child with a sweet tooth he often risked little missions into the Temples kitchens to steal sweets which his master saw opportunity for and so trained his padawan in the concepts of stealth and subterfuge. He can hack locks and datapads as well as pick manual locks with his pick set as well as using the force to assist. He often relies on the idea of hiding in plain sight, looking like he belongs so that people glance over him and by the time they look back he's already moved.
Having a vicious sweet tooth both as a child and adult he also learned under his master botany, helping grow the gardens of the temples to grow various plants (mostly fruits) but still the lesson stuck and he still helps maintain the gardens though his focus on plants still remains on what can grow his favorite snacks.
