On a barren speck of rock in the Outer Rim, Prospecting Team 1001 waited for back-up.

Specifically, the three-person prospecting team was waiting for the back-up promised to them by their parent corporation, Banvhar Combine. The mining company paid for them to be here and certain protections and assurances had been made when the contracts were written. One of the clauses that had been written into the most recent contracts took into consideration something that most people didn't encounter even once in their lives; The Force.

With a renewed Sith Empire and Jedi running amok across the Galaxy, people and the companies they worked for realized that the Force was as real as anything else in the Galaxy - and contract lawyers made sure it was included. Waiting within the prefabricated hanger bay that had been set up on the barren planetoid, the three-person team waited with varying degrees of patience. The Gran surveyor, Lanowen, muttered angrily to himself as he paced up and down, always keeping an eye on the doorway at the rear of the hanger bay.

The double doors, closed and tripled locked, and still such a source of anxiety that he couldn't help but turn all three of his eyes towards them at least once every few moments. Sitting atop a crate as he checked something on his datapad, Ezzo Skeck did his best to ignore his Gran companion's muttering and pacing even as he worked. In the end he was only partially successful and turned off his datapad in frustration.

"I can't access the systems of any of the excavation or security droids from here."
he reported to the group, eying the last member of the team specifically as he did so, "You're our 'Force expert', Chirzo. Are you really sure we needed the company to call in Sith AND Jedi to try and deal with this?"

Chirzo, a hooded Mirialan currently peering out the hanger bay entrance into the vastness of space, hummed a little bit. Her right hand idly played with something that hung from a cord around her neck, out of direct sight of her team members. She seemed to think on it for a moment longer before turning back to Ezzo and Lanowen.

"There is something down there of considerable power - something that feels inherently unstable. If it is, we will need Jedi and Sith to keep it under some form of control. Without them, it could warp our minds just by its very presence... unfortunately with their interference it might do the same anyway, just in whatever direction they intend."

There was silence for a moment before Lanowen snorted and spat to one side.

"Which is why the company also put out the call for indies - to protect their investment."

The team were all very much aware that they didn't count as part of that investment. No, the company was far more interested in their excavation and security droids - hell, they were much more interested in the team's small shuttle than they were in them. It was unspoken but the team knew that their only hope for escaping the planetoid with their minds intact was the inbound contractors, the Jedi, Sith and others on their way to help them unearth, truly, just what it was that sang such terrible songs into their minds deep within the confines of the mines below.

  • Banvhar Combine - The Company sponsoring the prospecting mission and a mining corporation well-known throughout the Galaxy. They are not the largest but they are successful.
  • Location - The planetoid is currently listed as Object N51920. It is without a sector of the Outer Rim largely unknown to the Galaxy and can be reached only through the assistance of Banvhar Combine due to the only safe routes through hyperspace to Object N51920 being charted by their Prospecting teams.
  • Prospecting Team - Lanowen the Gran Surveyor, Ezzo Skeck the Rodian droid technician and Chirzo the Mirialan Force 'Expert'.
  • The Call for Help - While investigating the planetoid and beginning probing mining operations, Chirzo reported back to Banvhar Combine that there is a strong presence in the Force that seemed wild and unpredictable. The reports grew more urgent as the team dug deeper until the team has refused to dig further until the company hires actual Jedi/Sith to investigate further. Chirzo believes that the presence she is feeling is incredibly powerful but also unstable.

Her first venture to the galaxy largely required credits. Since she couldn't immediately jump to wherever the Jedi were located, she had to first get some money to continue her independent research. Since this was somewhat in her wheelhouse, she would just run with it.

The Pantoran Jedi had given up Jedi robes in favor of darker colors; half her face was obscured by a mask, which covered the bottom half of her face. She had stashed her blasters, vibroblades, and other necessary items in various belt pouches. Her identity, with the Force and other influences, was kept as neutral as possible, so she went with the name 'Innana'. Made life easier. Still... The possibilities of her companions being Sith were entirely reasonable. So for now, anonymity was necessary.

There was also the possibility that they wouldn't be well-received by the first group.

The YT-1300 descended to the small landing pad with minimal difficulty; years of landing in obscure jungles and planets with no name gave her good experience with parking in tight spaces. No doubt the shuttle for her fellow Force users would arrive soon, but it was time to meet the locals first, so to speak.

Pulling the hood over her head, she tucked her lightsabers away, and stashed the vibroblades before descending, and offering the tense trio a silent nod.

She would wait with them for the rest of her party, but otherwise, only speak when spoken to. She didn't feel up to abusing her vocal cords just yet after not having to speak much.

There were not many reasons for Kaos Tyr to take jobs nowadays, so devoid of purpose, so aimless was his search for something that could fullfill him that he had only now thrown his old identity away, his previous life nothing but a passing memory for all the galaxy, his current one but a shadow of what he once was. But there was a simple reason he had come all the way here, taking such a strange job: He believed it to be the will of the Force, for the last years in captivity had made him a little more religious, even though he was by no means a better person as a result.

Fashioning his newest armor and toys alongside a shiny pair of Matukai gloves that also felt nostalgic to wear, the masked mercenary joined the scene, being one of the first to join the scene, his senses would focus on the environment around him and the few organic beings that worked for the company and were there at the moment. Hell, no wonder they needed outside help, seeing the amount of bolts and the lack of brains in the mine, it was no wonder they would have trouble with this particular situation.

After all, Tyr knew what the assignment was for, he had done his research and it was the reason he had come all the way here: This was something related to the force, something strange, something extraordinary, something that could perhaps change his life, remind him of what he once stood for, give him a good fight or put him out of his misery, he didn't care which of the option was it, just that his wishes were fullfilled.

He hoped he had come to deal with something worthy of his time.

Varyn's ship slipped out of hyperspace and approached the mining... object for a landing. He really had no idea what he was getting into here, but the Sith seemed to have an interest in making some sort of moves on this company, so he was here, responding.

He could sense something strong in the Force, though what it was was anyone's guess. For the moment, he focused on guiding the ship in, making sure that it touched down without any issues.

PD, keep the ship locked down until I'm back, he said to the pilot droid as he slipped his helmet on and pulled the hood up to snap into place. He double checked that his regular combination of gear was all stowed on his belt and descended the exit ramp.

It seemed he wasn't the only person summoned here, and others had already begun to gather as well. In fact, something in the Force told him he may even see some familiar faces here... for better or worse.

His suspicions were on high alert, though, and he kept his eyes open for anything that might have been out of the ordinary or any clues about what sort of mining operation this was.

How'd they know there's a disturbance in the Force? he wondered to himself. Did they have a Force-sensitive among them? That was the only explanation the Champion could come up with, but he supposed it would remain to be seen... or asked about.

Another stranger had entered the area. He wore a black cloak, black shoes, pale but muscular, dark lank hair falling over eyes that couldn’t care less, a miscreant who might be hunching on the side of the road nursing a bottle if not for the lightsaber hilted to his waist, next to a flashlight. He kept his right hand tucked in his pocket, and there it stayed. In his left, he gripped a pickaxe, slung over his shoulder.

“Anyone else have experience fighting rocks?” he said.

John was born of mines like these. He got his first swollen eye here, killed his first man here. Bashed his skull open against a vein of cortosis. Then struggled as the guy's friends held John down and broke his arm. He had never wanted to leave a place so badly. He hadn’t grown up in this exact place, but the dusty stench was the same. That he would willingly return to such a shithole “world” would normally be incomprehensible, a genuine mystery.

Except John Qarthiq had a plan.

Charlotte was lonely. Her brief reunion managed to remind her of that inescapable fact. Ever since Cairo had disappeared, she was hopelessly isolated. She rules the Consortium with an iron fist. Friends and family were dangerous beyond compare. Aadya was likely the only Sith who even remembered Charlotte Le’Anna had once been among their number. Andruil was ensconced on Dathomir…all the other seemed to have faded away. Against her better judgment, Charlotte wanted to feel part of something again.

Her coms still monitored Imperials space. When the call went out for Jedi, Sith and the like from Banvhar…she had answered. Her advisors warned against it. Her own sensibilities warned against it…but she was lonely. Her Chume’doro hid her holiday. Charlotte throwing on old Sith robes and taking a junker to the planet. In place of a helmet, she wore a black mask that covered the bottom half of her face. This was a particularly stupid way to make friends but the only idea she had. Charlotte was never very good at playing well with others.

The ship eventually landed. Allowing her to make her way to the dig site. Her eyes flicked across the assembling group. Well…this was what she wanted. The Force vibrated with an odd feeling. She was out of practice which meant whatever lurked below was strong indeed. She shrugged her shoulders and walked forward. Nothing to do but get to doing.

R5-9A found himself answering the call, which might surprise some of the miners to find a droid decked out in Sith colors and speaking so haughtily to them. But as much as Sith and Jedi were experts in the Force, R5, having had centuries of experience at this point, had similar mastery over biological matters. And there was a very real chance that whatever was causing this disturbance in the Force could be some scientific curiosity, rather than a mystic one.

Plus, not for nothing, R5's time in the Sith's service had given him cursory knowledge and almost endless data about the Force - what could be dataified at any rate - and so, he was fully prepared to help restrain this phenomena in order to study it further.

"If whatever is causing this disturbance is alive, I'm sure that command would appreciate it being taken alive." R5 chimed in, always aware for the Sith's tendency to destroy. He had long ago stopped bothering to keep track of the amount of experiments that had to be scrapped because of Sith gung-ho attitudes.

Vahliri’s gaze remained firmly locked onto Object N51920 - even as The Atropus dropped out of hyperspace and began to approach the landing zone of the planetoid. Irrespective of her colleagues reasonings, the half-Annfyn made an appearance for one reason alone; to advance Imperial interests. It was a known secret the Empire grown increasingly interested in the Banvhar Combine, while any reports of powerful and unexplained Force Anomalies were of immediate concern to the Sith - for reasons obvious enough.

As her shuttle came in for a landing, Vahliri couldn’t help the sensation of dread that crept up within her. Even from a distance, the half-Annfyn could feel the presence that lingered within the mines, and it was abundantly clear that the prospecting team hadn’t exaggerated their claims. While she wasn’t unnerved - not yet anyway - it was a reminder of just how serious the situation could become.

She didn’t hesitate to begin striding down the ramp of her shuttle - posture rigid and amber gaze fixed ahead. “Stay alert while I'm inside. I want engines warm in case we need to leave quickly.” She said without looking back, addressing the pair of Imperial Troopers that accompanied her.

“Yes ma’am.” They spoke in unison response.

The half-Annfyn was adorned in her signature red-and-black robes, complete with a hood that helped to obscure her face. A pair of lightsabers and a discreet vibroblade were fastened to her belt, while her black hair was pulled back into a braid that draped her left shoulder.

As she stepped into the mines, Vahliri allowed her gaze to flick around those assembled. She vaguely recognized some of them, but only knew one. Amber eyes lingered on Varyn for a moment or two, a complicated expression gracing her features for a split second. It passed, and a small smile found its way onto her features.

“Hey Varyn,” She said as she walked up to join the group, arms casually crossed over her chest. Maybe they weren’t on great terms, but he was a familiar face and someone she trusted in this place. For now, it was a matter of waiting for the prospecting team.

Tahiri wasn't particularly excited about answering the distress call. Not only was she breaking about a half dozen by-laws by wandering around this far from Yavin all on her own, which meant that any report she filed after the fact was likely to land her in trouble, but she had a bad feeling about the whole situation. Even before landing she could sense that something was wrong, and the feeling only intensified as she stepped out of the ship.

Thankfully she wasn't the first one there, and thankfully not even the first Jedi by the looks of it. But, there were also Sith, and that gave her another cause for concern. Not because there were Sith here, that was always a cause for concern, but in this instance it wasn't the. That would be the way she seemed to blend in with them. Dressed in robes of all black, she seemed like just another member of the club. And in that moment she had an epiphany, maybe she was going through a little bit of an angsty, edgy phase.

When had that happened?

Leaving the self reflection for later, she took a deep breath and walked up to two of them, the ones who caught her eye the most. Say what you will about the Sith, they had style. Oh my god, she thought to herself as an immediate reaction to that thought, now I'm appreciating a Sith's choice in clothing? What in Obi-wan's glorious beard is wrong with me?

Coming to a stop besides the one with the cool mask and his hot girlfriend, she gave them a nod of greeting, before realizing that not saying anything was even more edgy and decided to start the introductions herself. "Hi, I'm Tahiri."

Was he the only non Force user here? Damn. Edin strutted up to join the motley crew. He had several guns and smoke grenades on him, but he didn’t show up as the Basilisk today. He brought a helmet with a rebreather but didn't wear it for now. He always liked it when others underestimated him. He had some airpods in that blasted music as he walked off the ramp of his ship manned by a droid. After the Ruusan fiasco, he knew better than to strand himself anywhere.

The assassin surveyed the group. All of them were standing around picking their noses. Some Sith chick showed up and made eyes at a fellow Sith dude and a Jedi walked over to them to make smalltalk. Ugh. Edin rolled his eyes, took out his airpods and walked over to Lanowen first.

“Sup,” He greeted with a nod, “I’m not a Force user, but can you tell us what’s going on here?” Edin gestured to the small army of Force users standing behind him.

Fame and renown were usually fairly appealing reasons to do things. Or at least, Dashellsyvic Lebowski thought so. Even if it meant jumping into a spooky mine, putting his trust in strangers he'd never met before to investigate something that had literally nothing to do with him.

But hey, it might make one hell of a story one day, and maybe Lebowski could earn a few extra credits on the side, too. The Enforcer brought his signature armor and weaponry along with him, and exited the Indubitably I to meet the rest of the gaggle of humanoids that were called here. He was relieved to see that there was at least one other non-Force user among the group.

"I'm with Groovy," Lebowski gave a little salute to Edin after he mentioned not being Force sensitive. "We gettin' paid for this, right?" He would ask earnestly.

OOC - Please start using TLDRs as with previous events

As the hanger bay began to get more and more crowded as people answered the call for aid, the prospecting team found themselves increasingly outnumbered and reacted accordingly. Chirzo seemed to perk up at the arrival of the Sith - she clasped her hands behind her back and seemed to shift her positioning. Some of the older Sith would notice that it looked like the woman had shifted into a loose form of parade rest that they would recognize from their time amongst some of the more militant Sith acolytes.

This seemed to get some stares from Ezzo, who clutched at his datapad tightly and tried to reboot it again. As the surveyor of the team, Lanowen stepped forward to actually engage with the newcomers - or at least the ones who seemed to have actually recognized their existence rather than standing around in a circle flirting (badly) like a group of disenfranchised teens.

"Glad the company sent us some non-wackjobs."
he greeted Edin and Lebowski, "You get paid and its hazard pay too - just make sure that the capes don't mess with us and try and take over the operation. I'm the surveyor, Lanowen. Datapad over there is Ezzo and Chirzo is our resident Forcie."

At this description, the Mirialan woman turned her nose up at the Gran and seemed to almost immediately dismiss both Edin and Lebowski as factors as she walked over to the gaggle of Sith. She bowed her head slightly.

"Former Acolyte Chirzo. You can feel it can't you? The Force feels off here in a way... have you much experience with these kind of phenomena?"

Deeper into the hanger, Ezzo seemed intent on avoiding immediate contact with the newcomers as he wandered over to the door to the mines at the rear of the hanger bay. Distracted, the technician moved his datapad around as if trying to find signal as he approached the door. As his screen seemed to come alive, the technician blinked a few times before turning to the hanger bay as a whole.

He turned from the locked double doors to the group again... and did so a few more times before deciding he should probably mention it.

"H-hey... hey everyone!"

He gestured to doors.

"One of the droids is back..."

Without further warning, the double doors at the back of the hanger opened to reveal the downward-sloping mine shaft beyond, most of the view blocked by the bulk of a EK4 Stevedore Droid for the moment. The droid stepped into the hanger, moving silently towards one of the consoles as wind came gusting through the door from the mine itself, carrying the scent of copper and dust from far below. This wind was little more than a strong breeze but it didn't let up even as the droid plugged itself into the console.

Working on his datapad, Ezzo smiled triumphantly.

"Got the vocabulator back online too! EK4-22, report on the status of the mining droids."

The droid didn't even pause as it accessed the console.

"All Organics are encouraged to leave the site. All Organics are encouraged to leave the site. All Organics are encouraged to perish. All Organics are encouraged to leave the site."

As the droid spoke its words of encouragement, the wind coming up from the mine shaft picked up speed and intensity. Amid the rushing of the wind, hushed tones speaking in an excessively sibilant language seemed to blend with the rushing air. After a few seconds longer the wind died down entirely and there was silence.

The droid's connector in the console spun again and it regarded the organics with its central optics.

"All Organics are encouraged to leave the site. All Organics are encouraged to leave the site. All Organics are encouraged to have a nice day. All Organics are encouraged to leave the site."

So many Sith.

She should have known. A powerful, unstable sense in the Force would draw in a crowd; thankfully, it was no one she knew. Even the one dressed in black that hovered around the Sith didn't seem very like the Sith she had faced before. Newer generations, perhaps? Her time trapped in that cave must have been much longer than she had thought, not that she had bothered with a chrono before coming here. Work was work.

Still, when Chirzo asked if any had any experience with this sort of thing, it was her voice that spoke up first, with a hard rasp to it.

"Something similar once. Long time ago."

And yet... this was different. She could feel it in her bones; this wasn't Cydonia. Different, with a fiercer edge. Still, she paced closer to Ezzo when he seemed to withdraw. She knew there was some risk here, but these three seemed especially nervous.

When the droid began buzzing its' intonations over the breeze, she took in a breath through the mask. Encouraged to perish? Encouraged to have a lovely day?

Crossing her arms briefly, she muttered to herself, "Well, that's not ominous at all. Any information uploaded?" She glanced at the trio with a flat stare, then the group. Surely they heard the voices as well, through the wind... her jaw clenched briefly, but she let in and out a breath. The Light was with her, even now; she wouldn't falter. "How deep did you go before you noticed... this felt off?" She now glanced at Chirzo. It hurt to speak this much after so long. However, she offered the woman a nod of her head, stance still firm.

Not that it mattered. They would have to descend soon anyways... though her lips did a twitch at the mention of 'capes'. Did Lanowen mean anyone that wasn't a Force user? That didn't mean anything; who knew, perhaps those 'non-capes' were in league with the Sith. She didn't care though. She'd follow the rest of the group if they decided to charge ahead, but for now, she waited for her questions to be answered.

Innana says she's had some experience with 'off-Force' shenanigans. Asks Ezzo if his datapad has been updated with anything from the ominous chanting droid, and Chirzo about how deep things got before they seemed odd by her standards. Finds it hilarious that Lanowen is relieved to see non-Force Sensitives.

Varyn's thoughts almost immediately swept to Vahliri at her appearance. A wave of conflicting emotions flowed through him, but he knew that now was not the moment to focus on that.

Hey Vahl. Good to see you, he said (@Altaris). It wasn't untrue. He did like seeing her, but it was... well, it was complicated. Still, there was a certain amount of excitement at her being here.

Before long they were approached by another woman he didn't know. I'm Varyn, he said to her with a nod (@Wit) and then moments later again they were approached by the Mirialan woman who identified herself as a former-Acolyte. He was sure there was a story there, and he wondered to himself what that story was, but once again, now was not the time. Shame.

Champion Atrix. Varyn, he said. Yes, something here isn't quite right. Anything happen leading up to this event? he asked. His eyes behind his helmet swept over to the droid emerging from the wind tunnel as the air picked up so fiercely he thought they were all going to be blown across the room. Then it died down as suddenly as it had come.

All organics are encouraged to leave? he thought to himself. Something about this was certainly off, and he wasn't even sure he could trust this droid.

Maybe it's something the R5 can check out, he said, motioning to the R5 unit (@Fantasy Liver) that had come along with them. Seemed like a fine idea, right?

How many droids and/or people are down there? he asked.

Asks their new Acolyte friend if she noticed anything weird before the incident. Is sus of the droid. Suggests R5 could go check it out. Asks how many people/droids are down in the mine still.

"I of course am most willing to serve the great and gracious Sith Empire in any way I can." R5 said to Varyn (@Phoenix ), the sarcasm he would have conveyed lost to an automated series of beep that made up the language of Droidspeak.

"However, would it not be simpler for me to use my abilities to ascertain where this droid came from and what it might have seen?" R5 offered, rolling over to the stevedore and attempting to do just that. R5 had a computer probe and the stevedore droid had an I/O socket, so it should be a relatively simple manner to plug in and diagnose what this droid had seen and why it was acting like that. Once plugged in, R5 would attempt to do a diagnostics of the droid, while transferring any video files from its receptors from the last 24 hours into the astromech's own databanks.

Of course, if the droid proved uncooperative or needed subduing, R5 had another instrument that wasn't a computer probe; a grip arm with a WESTAR blaster pistol attached to it that the medical droid wouldn't hesitate to use to put the stevedore droid down.

TLDR: R5 suggests not going down to the spooky spook spook spot and instead, tries to use his computer probe to tap into the malfunctioning droid, willing to shoot if the droid goes haywire/berserk.

It was suddenly very crowded. A lot of black robes and serious faces. Charlotte looked down at her own get up. Well…it was a popular color…properly dramatic and all that. She sighed. She was out of practice in mundane social settings. Being Queen Mother meant having to make very little small talk. She wondered again what possessed her to take this job. Had her experience at that fucking haunted mansion not been enough? At least there seemed to be less Jedi this time around.

The Former Acolyte introduced herself which gave seemingly an opening to break her awkwardness. Charlotte walked up carefully as Varyn introduced himself to Chirzo, eyeing the woman he identified as Vahl. “Champion Ren Lavra.” (@Phoenix @Altaris) What a horrible made-up name. Thankfully, there was little time to focus on it. A droid finally wandered into up from the depth. A properly strange exchange followed. The droid spouted nonsense about organize life…clearly busted…and the wind followed.

That was far more concerning. She could almost hear the words within. The power in the Force seeming to shift. Charlotte clicked her tongue. Her heart beating just a little faster. Not a good sign. She looked around at the group again. They appeared to know their business. At least it wasn’t a gathering of total idiots. She quickly followed up on the questions of depth. “Yes…exactly how deep did you go.” Her head turned towards Lanowen. “And what exactly were you contracted to mine and with how many droids?” She knew where this was headed. They were going into that mine which meant encountering whatever was deep below. The Hapan noble shook her head. Might as well gathering all the information they could while they were still breathing.

She approaches Varyn, Vahl and Chirzo before asking the highlighted questions.

As the others talked, John kneeled and looked at the ground. It was powdered and pebbled, with a mix of large and small rocks, some that could be from the beginning of time while others were clearly manmade. Securing the pickaxe on his belt, he reached out and grabbed a square, ash-gray rock shaped like Frankenstein's head. He held it up between his eyes and the light, squinting at the fine specimen, twisting it between his fingers until one of the rough-hewn sides cut his thumb. Not reacting, he calmly pocketed the rock and then pressed his bleeding thumb into the dusty ground so that part of him would remain here always– a Sith ID, of sorts.

John investigates some rocks next to him on the ground.

Tahiri gave Varyn a smile as he introduced himself, just because Jedi and Sith were destined to be mortal enemies and there was like a 5% chance that he might chop her head off some day didn't mean that they couldn't be polite. Specially when it seemed like Sith were the overwhelming majority here, best not to be rude to those she might have to rely on to keep her alive.

The names did make that a little difficult though, Chorizo, Larva, the jokes kinda wrote themselves, but for her own safety she kept them to herself. Instead she simply tagged along as Varyn and Ren began questioning the prospecting team. She did notice one of the Sith getting fascinated by a rock and start smearing blood on the ground, and took an instinctive step away from him to just add more distance between them.

She leaned in towards Vahl and whispered a question to the Sith, keeping her voice down so as to not interrupt the ongoing conversation with the prospectors. "Is," she pointed towards the rock-fanatic, "is that normal?"

Tahiri tags along with Varyn and Charlotte as they question the prospectors, and speaks with Vahl on the side while waiting for prospectors to respond.[/spoilers]

More and more people arrived shortly after him, most of them force users as it was expected, but Kaos couldn't but to realize that most of them sith, which meant he had to stand on his guard and make sure he wasn't backstabbed by one of them by the end of the day, force knows the moment shit goes down they throw anyone under the bus for results. At least he wasn't a jedi, which lowered the chances of them pulling something against him a fair bit.

The Miralukan's figurative eyes were fixed on the droid that came out, Matukai gauntlets ready to put it down if it tried anything strange, but instead was left with a strange message and the wind that came along with it to ponder about. "I am afraid your droids are probably beyond recovery if this is the state of the only one that came back" Kaos blunty stated as he looked at Lanowen, moving towards the droid after R5 after saying his piece.

The independent force user did not trust that droid at all, but R5's idea was very solid, someone just had to make sure it didn't try to crush the smaller droid, so Kaos stood by R5's side, alert and with his hands up and ready to punch through the strange droid, just in case.

Tells Lanowen his droids are wack and proceeds to stand next to R5 just in case the droid that comes back does anything fucky while he is doing his thing

Vahliri only allowed her gaze to linger on Varyn for a few seconds - the hints of a smile lingering even if there was quite a bit else on both of their minds. She didn’t allow herself to dwell on any of it though, promptly turning to address both of the fellow Sith and Jedi who approached them. While she didn’t particular trust the latter, the half-Annfyn was confident for the time being that no one would attempt any bullshit. “Champion Vahliri Kahtal,” Her gaze flicked between the two of them, flashing a friendly smile in return.

Of course, it didn’t take long for the half-Annfyn to focus right back to the task at hand. She listened to the multitude of conversations that took place and watched as the droid approached the group, a scowl gradually beginning to tug at the corners of her mouth.

“What happened directly before you uncovered.. Whatever it is?” Her gaze flicked naturally to the former Acolyte, but the question was posed to really all of them. Perhaps they had dug too deep and awoken something buried, but she wanted to know exactly what had happened prior to its emergence.

Vahliri asks about the events just prior to the mines being evacuated.
