Morgan's Personal Armor

Morgan Arcas's getup is a blend of a classically Corellian style, with a hint of roguish charm only found in Hutt Space.

The coat, form-fitting and of Corellian fashion, is currently lined with armorweave, making it a form of defence as well as less prone to tearing. In each of the coat's sleeves, thin, lightweight duraplast plates have been affixed, to give his shoulder tackles extra oomph alongside the added protection, without sacrificing range of motion. Originally belonging to his maternal grandfather — who he often was told he resembled — this vintage piece of Coronet City culture remains one of the few mementos of his family's that Morgan keeps close to him.

A tailored, lightweight Blast Vest, thin enough to be worn under clothing, typically covers his chest and back. Arcas resorts to the pair of unassuming Jetboots on his feet for added mobility, and to his Shock Boxing Gloves for an added edge to his Corellian Boxing skills.

A Smuggler through and through, Morgan's apparel is discreet but diverse. The man typically carries two blasters, one on a hip holster that hangs from his simple, inconspicuous Utility Belt, the other in a shoulder holster, concealed by the coat, and two vibroknifes, one strapped to his left ankle and the other to his lower back.

Legality

All aspects of the armour are Legal.

Type and Coverage

Type: Light

Coverage:
  • Torso: Lightweight blast vest with Duraplast plating, Armourweave Coat (Sides, mostly)
  • Back: Lightweight blast vest with Duraplast plating, Armourweave Coat
  • Upper Arms: Thin Duraplast Plating embedded into the outer-facing portions of the sleeves

Functions

Function 1: Grapple Line
  • Grapple lines are capable of supporting the weight of 1-2 people and can launch up to ranges typically up to 15 meters away. Once no longer in use, they are detached from the launcher and left behind. While hand-held grapple guns are capable of auto-winching, armor or wrist mounted devices lack this ability. Grapple lines must be manually activated and controlled by a button or switch.
  • Force User Compatible?: No

Function 2: Armorweave Accessory (Jacket)
  • Most often in the form of a heavy cape, skirt, or underlay beneath armor, armor weave provides some protection against the penetrating effects of shrapnel from explosives and other unpowered high velocity impacts, with only a small amount of bleed through damage (bruising or very minor wounds). It offers no protection against kinetic impact or energy, vibroweapons, or similar "powered" weapons. Having more than one accessory (example: Cape + underweave) provides no additional effect.
  • Force User Compatible?: Yes

Function 3: Jetboots
  • Miniaturized jetpack technology, jetboots (also called "rocket boots") are essentially boots to which small jetpack thrusters have been attached. The wearer must activate/deactivate the thrusters modes via wrist-mounted controls. Like an average jetpack, jetboots permit a maximum speed of 35kph and can maintain this speed for two minutes of continuous flight (flight mode). In combat (mode), they can be used in short bursts to propel the wearer up to seven (7) meters. Jet boots are much smaller, lighter, and less vulnerable to attack and damage than jetpacks, but are also very difficult to utilize effectively, and wearers can be easily thrown off course.
  • Force User Compatible?: No

Just so you know you might want to include anything that isn’t armor related (the shock boxing gloves ) in Morgan’s character profile rather than have it be in a link to an armor writeup unless they are only exclusively worn with this outfit.
