Moving Target: A Princess Leia Adventure is an upcoming novel by Cecil Castellucci and Jason Fry. It centers on Princess Leia and is set between Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. The novel is part of the Journey to The Force Awakens series, so it will contain hints as to the story of Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens. It will be released on September 4th, as part of Force Friday.

It's interesting that Nien Nunb is in this. He was also in the Star Wars: Princess Leia comic mini-series. He knew Evaan Verlaine, and Evaan brought him into Leia's mission to unite the surviving Alderaanians. It's clear that they are setting up Nien Nunb as a key ally and friend for Princess Leia, and there's a big reason for that.

According to leaked promotional photos, Nien Nunb is a member of the Resistance, which Leia leads, in Episode VII. So obviously they're creating a new backstory where the characters have worked together many times before.
