DESCRIPTION​

The MPL-57 grenade launcher is a heavy infantry weapon manufactured by Merr-Sonn Munitions that was first developed around the time of the Galactic Civil War. Used by both sides during the conflict, the weapon has continued to be a staple of warfare into the present day, and is well liked by soldiers for its relatively compact size and versatile payload.

The MPL-57 is simple weapon, using a magnetic acceleration system to fire standard hand grenades or thermal detonators out to an effective range of up to 75 meters. 3 grenades can be loaded into the weapon at a time, and are armed and launched sequentially with each pull of the trigger. Targeting is accomplished via a manual leaf sight, although a computerized scope can be substitute for greater precision if desired.

LEGALITY​

Restricted. Grenade launchers are extremely powerful weapons, and are thus banned on most civilized worlds. Even on uncivilized ones, carrying one around in public is sure to draw unwanted attention.
