MUNIT'KAD HALBERD

There are other weapons of legend besides the fabled Dark Saber or Mand'alor's Bes'kad. One example is the fabled Munit'kad halberd. This ancient style of war axe crafted by the Mandalorian weapon smiths of old make it a prize desired by many collectors.

The origins of the weapon date back to when it was originally wielded by an ancient warrior of Clan Ordo. For generations it was used by the clan to wage war against its enemies. Some of which were other Mandalorians. As a pole arm it gives the weilder some significant reach. However, it is considerably heavy, giving creadance to the strength of any who dare attempt to use it. Made of pure beskar that gives it a darkened dimascus appearance.

The split openings of the axe allow the weapon to realistically be swung. Wrapped around the lower length of the polearm is darkened leather which has been replaced over the millennia. It is said an the genuine article has a talisman added to the beard of the axe and is made of tiny beads of beskar. Each one has a single rune in Mando'a though each has a slightly different hue.

Most of these details are lost on the average observer. Thanks to the exploits of Dryden Voice, the weapon was taken from its owners on Krownest. The Munit'kad Halberd was last seen onboard the First Light which has since been reported crashed on a Savareen mountain range over a century earlier.

The entire weapon is lightsaber resistant, including the handle as it is made of pure beskar. However the weapon is very heavy and not an easy weapon to use in combat except by a practiced user. While simplistic in its design, the axe bears a built an archaic repulsor on the end which can be fired once before needing to be reloaded. The wielder of the weapon is given some respite from the normal recoil of the repulsor feature thanks to its own weight. However to not make it a projectile of its own making, the strong grip of a warrior is required or risk the axe ripping itself from ones grasp.

OOC: When firing this, roll a d6. On a 1 the repulsor is damaged but still fires normally and can't be used for the rest of the thread without first getting it repaired. On any other roll the weapon requires a full turn to reload.

INTENT
I wanted to expand on the artifacts that Mandalorians have and take something from canon and bring it to the site. Use the repulsor here for reference with the detailed alterations above. This is still very much a ceremonial and symbolic articat for the Mandalorian people while also still a 'somewhat' practical weapon should members want to use it.

Which end has the repulsor? The axe-head or the bottom?
