DESCRIPTION
The N-series droids are the latest in a line of NalTomation ( a subsidiary of Nalju Technologies) attempts to improve on old Separatist droid models. The Huntsman takes its cues from the likes of the Scorpenek and Trident-class units deployed by the likes of the Trade Federation and the Separatist Droid Army centuries ago.

These black and red droids are shaped like giant spiders and are powered by a fusion reactor stored in their bulbous abdomens. While their dual-blaster cannons pack a punch and can decimate unshielded or unarmored ground-troops, their primary purpose is to scale large structures and deploy their retractable drill-spike from the base of their heads (shaped like fangs) to penetrate heavily armored vehicles and even buildings. In that regard, they serve a similar function to the Trident-class assault ships that were deployed in the Battle of Kamino during the Clone Wars so long ago.

Their legs are also weapons in and of themselves. Sharpened to a point, they can be used to run through any fleshy infantry that stray too close. But the Huntsman also have two big weaknesses. Their legs are highly susceptible to lightsabers in a day and age where Jedi and Sith are increasingly active on the battlefield. Their bulbous abdomens can also be hit with a significant shot (from, say, another walker or tank, or even a starfighter), causing the whole droid to explode. Therefore, Huntsman are best deployed when they have significant back up to draw attention away from them.
